eBook giveaway on 05/05/12
A special thanks goes out to the two people in the USA and the one person in the UK that took advantage of my free eBook giveaway promotion on Amazon for White Elephant, yesterday. I’m happy to know that it wasn’t a complete waste. I’m also happy to see there are a few people that will take my work for free. I’m actually really grateful that you have given me the opportunity to entertain you with my writing.
LOL, this wasn’t a fail though, because even though it was only three people–this still makes it a WIN! Had it been nobody then it would have been a FAIL. So I am grateful for you three, and everyone who has allowed me the opportunity to entertain them with my writing. You are all hall of fame in my book.

Congratulations to the winners!
I’d like to congratulate the winners of my giveaway for White Elephant and Flash Fiction 40+1: New Mexican Bread Aisle (courtesy of Goodreads.com). I’d like to thank everyone for their interest and for taking the time to enter into the contest, the sort of digital cake walk that it is, but only no cake. I shipped all of the items out today, so if you’re one of the fortunate winners, expect your book very soon.
Oddly enough, a friend of mine, that lives in the same city, that I just had a math class with in this semester, that just ended–won a copy of White Elephant. And while he attributes that success to The Secret by Rhonda Byrne, and while that may be true, I still maintain that it is because I have the best readers. So thank you everyone, thank you for being the best readers that an author can have.
On a side note, I’m still making more progress with volume 2 of Flash Fiction 40+1 series and...

Volatalistic Phil's Newspaper Interview 4-24-12
In case you haven’t heard, I was recently interviewed by Jonathan Gamboa of the CNM Chronicle for my newest releases: Flash Fiction 40+1: New Mexican Bread Aisle and White Elephant. The CNM Chronicle previously interviewed me in November for the release of my Novel, My Mind’s Abyss. It is an amazing, truly amazing, wonderfully awesome opportunity. I am incredibly grateful to have been a feature in both issues of the CNM Chronicle. I hope to make my community proud, my school proud, my friends and family proud, and my readers proud. I don’t know what I can say that can express how grateful I am. I suppose I will just say “thank you,” though I don’t feel that it says much, but I want it to. A very special thanks to

It's been a while
It’s been a while since I’ve written an update, okay, so maybe a month? Anyhow I thought I would check in for anyone that may be interested. I’m working on releasing a new publication called White Elephant. It’s 144 pages with poems, haikus, rants, incoherent stuff, coherent stuff, sadness, strangeness, and two or three disturbing images. Really, I think the description does a good job at summing it up: Hatred, loathing, fear, sad, love, coherent, incoherent, drugs, images, strange, disturbing, poems, happiness, thoughts, death, violence, stories, babbling, hope, joy, relationships, observations, rants, haikus, depressing, disturbing images; White Elephant.
So that’ll be coming out soon and for paperback I think I’ll start it off at $3.99 so if you happen to be interested, you can get a White Elephant for really cheap! And like all of my publications have been thus far, this one is also adult audience intended.
I’m also currently working on another project about my experience being homeless. I’ll be done with it soon, but...

Volatalistic's Hospital Visit
Valentines Day. Love is in the air. Swans are swooning, geese are giggling, foxes are frolicking, mice are mingling, couples are tousling–you get the idea. It comes once a year, whether you’re for or against it, the fact is that Valentine’s Day is here. (“Rawr, let me stomp on your ant hill. It is a made-up holiday to…” …blah blah blah. Personally, I’m so glad that we have an excuse to let people know that we love them! But whatever your stance is, it is your stance and I respect that.) Maybe some of you have special people to share the day with that involves special events or special ways in which you celebrate Valentine’s Day. I’ve never had a set routine, though I haven’t been very fortunate to have a significant other on Valentine’s Day, much less for my birthday that is on February 20th; though last year I did celebrate with a friend at Olive Garden with plenty of good food and plenty of wine. This year I decided that my ‘date’ would be to go and pay a visit to the UNM Children’s Hospital, oh, and to visit the library to avoid any late fees and then...

What I'm doing...
Hello everyone! I haven’t posted a blog in a while so I thought I’d drop you all a line. Volatalistic is well on his way to insanity. Just kidding, it’s not so bad. I have my full schedule and I’m taking an IT, Math, Philosophy, and a Spanish class. There are so many gorgeous women in school that it has me going cross-eyed trying to look at all of them. Ahh yes, women, the 8th wonder of the world. I have so many books that barely fit in my old backpack that has followed me for 12 years! I don’t want to give up the backpack, but its bulging so much that I’m walking around like a camel. I look like a turtle. I’ve got a hunch, but not like that. (Good fun Victor Hugo, good fun.)
I just got done doing a book giveaway...
