Thanks to Bryan Thomas, Proofreader

Bryan Thomas, author of Amber and the Butterfly Fairies, has kindly donated his time to double checking the proofreading of one of my books. Thank you very much to Bryan for his time and effort.

I've recommended that Bryan looks into becoming a professional proofreader, to supplement his writing. If you're interested in working with Bryan, he has asked me to pass on his email address: bryanthomasauthor@gmail.com

Win a Paperback Copy of Seesaw

If you enter between now and 16th June, you could win a paperback copy of my short story collection, Seesaw.

Seesaw currently have five stars on Amazon (from 15 reviews) and was nominated by the KUF book club, as their June read.

So called because of its alternation between laugh out loud comedies and more sinister, psychological tales, Seesaw showcases some of Rosen's most loved shorts, alongside some previously unpublished bite-sized tales.

Free Novel - Straight Out of University

The Kindle edition of Straight Out of University is free this week.

A sexy, hilarious, modern and daring novel by a number 1 bestseller.

Sophie's university life is lively, characterised by passionate, sapphic love affairs, liberal activism and boundary-pushing theatre.

Nine years later, she returns to her hometown in Cornwall, where girls are friends with girls, boys are friends with boys, and queer is an experience felt when you drink too much cider.

Sophie falls for John, a sensible, conservat...

Announcing Pompomberry House

My next novel will be Pompomberry House. It will be a comedy whodunnit, which provides a satirical look at the emerging world of indie publishing. An exact launch date has not yet been set. However, it is likely that the book will be available to buy by the end of the summer.

Here's the blurb:

A writer's retreat seemed the perfect chance for Dee Whittaker to take her mind off her marital difficulties.

However, she meets five of the most hideous writers ever to have mastered a qwerty keyboard, an...

Seesaw Launch and Book Signing

I really enjoyed my book launch on Saturday. It took place at An Arty Event hosted in The City Gate, Exeter. I signed many copies of my paperback, Seesaw. Although I've published several Kindle titles, Seesaw is my first paperback. It's a collection that alternates between humorous fiction and psychological fiction.

Many other local artists performed at the event, including Coffee House Players, Otto and Sam Webb from the band ThirtyOne. Local stand-up comedian, Marcus Gill, compared and share...

On 2nd June, I will officially launch Seesaw at An Arty Event, in Exeter. You are welcome to join me and other local artists.

Seesaw is a short story collection available for Kindle and in paperback. So called because of its alternation between laugh out loud comedy and more sinister, psychological tales.

CreateSpace for Europe - Unimpressed So Far

On 17th May, Amazon launched its existing US self-publishing platform, CreateSpace, in Europe. I'm a FeedARead customer myself, but I thought I'd take a look at the competition, to see how it compares.

My hopes for CreateSpace Europe were:

- CreateSpace books would now be readily available in European Amazon stores

- Authors would now be able to work in their own currency

- Authors' royalty payments would come from Europe, thus avoiding US tax problems

- Their "industry-leading" royalties would r...
