Ghosts
A thousand ghosts do stalk the earth
And linger still in vapid fogs
To cling and crowd and sigh betwixt
The morning and the night.
And in them trapped the street's light - still.
And in them trapped the moon's glow - still.
Silence, silence, to conceal a world
Hidden beneath, hidden within
My swirling wraiths.
And he comes, across the sea,
And through the fog he comes, across the sea.
