The Repair Man
The repair man knocks at the door,
Smiles,
Enters and crouches before the thing,
Peers through the screen and
Smiles -
Sighs and smiles and opens his box of tools.
With the hands of a surgeon he plies it open,
Takes off the back and squints and peers
And smiles
Into the mess of wires and circuits and metal
Which are a language, hidden from us,
But to him they speak and he reaches back,
Taps the screen, examines the socket,
Pokes, prod, tests - but he already knows the problem

The Miller and the Boy
My anthology, due for release on 12th April is being prepared. Getting all the short stories, poems, pieces of flash fiction that I've written over the past few years has been quite a task, but then arranging them in a coherent order which makes sense and seems to take the reader on a journey through the book is a more complex task, considering that there is so much material, but its looking good. Auditions and Casting went really well!
So the short film I wrote, "The Wedding at Otranto," is fully cast and all set for filming after Easter, which is very exciting. We had auditions on Wednesday, was pretty fun. Everyone who auditioned was brilliant, and its great to have such a talented cast of people involved - I am very much looking forward to seeing the script coming to life (literally..) - filming is going to be good. There is still a fair bit to do, setting up, getting the locations organised, and then read throughs too. ...
