I’m going to have a buy one get one free deal going on with my novels - I have no idea how its going to work/how I can give them away for free but the big book of publishing suggests that you should have some offers going or..something. Plus I feel like giving some away before The Blue Bricks Part I comes out this summer. New book related horizons are on the way. However, I only want it to be for people on tumblr ie people who follow me on tumblr and theres no way of working out who bou...

I really like your blog! :) So tht is what your imagination looks like eh?

Thanks :) It is indeed - or at least what my imagination would look like if represented through images appearing on my dashboard! I just go for anything that reflects how I’m feeling/suits the piece of writing I’m going to be uploading :) it all fits together and looks like the inside of my imagination..ish :)

The very first paragraphs of my next novel - The Blue Bricks Part I. Fresh off the paper! I just finished typing the first 100 pages up the other day!

“We’re getting out” and Alvarez’s eyes glinted in the dead light of the search beams.

“But where?” the reply was inevitable, for they were quite trapped - inside the city, which was inside the walls, which were inside the world, and as he spoke Anier hesitated, falling a little behind as Alvarez advanced.

There is a reason why most if not all of the “classic books” ie the ones that have gone down in history for being really good, break all the “rules” of writing you hear being batted around today, and its a good reason: there are no rules. None. Literally none. War and Peace has an uneven and “choppy” narrative, Crime and Punishment describes environments rather than “showing them” (what?) and Bleak House is so ridiculously long that it would nev...

In my mind

I thrash against the rocks

Of myself and swirl and

Dash and crash into a

Thunderous chorus

Of music too complex

And disordered to discern

As anything but mayhem.

Outside I sit and sip

Some tea, sniff slightly,

Sit quietly and watch

The TV. Its just another day

Afterall, they say.
