I was being more honest than I had ever been. The ghost had appeared roughly a month ago, although it seemed as though it has been present for far longer, years, perhaps decades: perhaps since the moment we had been born. Tim...

If you could give one important piece of information to a young writer such as myself, then what would it be? :3

I think the most important piece of advise is be unique - tell your story in your way. Which is not to say don’t read lots of other books and take inspiration from them - getting inspiration from other books is brilliant but as long as you just write in your own way, all the inspiration from other works will feed into your own style and become part of that style. Being unique is the most important/only really viable writing tip I would say. You hear all the time that every book has been writt...

I just wanted to thank you for all the writing tips. The advice you gave the guy with The Counting Crows reference was excellent and very relateable. I don't write poetry myself, but I have been looking for a way to break into the field and get my voice

Hi - you’re welcome :) I’m glad it was useful! I always like to be able to help out other writers where possible, its really hard to actually get stuff out there and make a viable living from writing. The most difficult part is starting off and breaking out in the first place, so I’m pleased that some of my tips are useful. Good luck with all your writing in the future :)
