Writing pains

Nightbird is humming along. I'm around 44k words now, but I have had to put it off to go over my editor's notes regarding The Portal. Have you read it? I sure hope not. Odds are you haven't. It is the second book I ever wrote, having written it after I finished Ascension. The technical errors are bad enough, but you see how much I didn't know when it came to style, it is truly horrific. Hopefully, I can buff out those dents enough to make it presentable.

Nightbird is underway.

I've hit 26k words on Nightbird, the sequel to Highlords of Phaer, already and boy am I excited. Are you excited? Can you just not hide it? I know, I know, I want to, write for you... Wow, there is so much going on in Nighbird with so many awesome characters that it's going be one hell of a ride. I think this is what all of my writing has been leading up to. I really do.

Here's something I'm supposed to be doing but I'm not: Creating an email list for of my readers. I DO NOT release your address to anyone EVER. I also DO NOT SPAM. You'll be lucky to get a newsletter from me more than three or four times a year. I signed up to one and I get a blast every week or more. I don't like that, and I assume you don't either. I let you know when I make a new cover for one of my books and when it goes on sale. That's just about it. I also want to start sending faithful readers free stuff just as soon as I figure out how.

Highlords of Phaer is about to land!

I have completed the final manuscript and am set to launch on August 15th. I expect this to be the start of a great series that will entertain thousands. I really have high hopes for the series, more so than any work I have done thus far. I have a professional cover artist, editor, and I have learned a great deal over the years, things that I hope my writing reflects. I already have a good jump on the sequel, "Nightbird." Nightbird is where the story really takes off. Highlords is a prequel for waht I really wanted to write, only I found that I could not start the series without a good opener, and that's what Highlords of Phaer is. I hope you enjoy it.
