What the heck am I doing?
If you're wondering what I've been up to, here it is.
1. Re-proofing the entire series to get them printable through Createspace. I finished book 2 recently and am waiting on my proof copy before making available. I had to delay book 3 because a reviewer said there were numerous severe editing problems in the last book, so I have been reading it again. So far I have found 3 rather minor typos.
2. I am 36,000 words into the sequel to Shrouds of Darkness. I have yet to decide on a title.
3. Will be signing a contract soon with a publishing company out of Portugal to print the series in Portuguese.
4. Future works. I have several ideas for new books. The hard part now is what to start next. I have a sci-fi book in my mind I'm really excited about, but I don't know if I can rely on sufficient sales from something completely different from what I've been writing. I have two fantasy-ish books I'd love to start, one of which could become a series. "Oh, why can't I be rich and just write what I want?" he howls in lament.

Getting them in print
I have started working toward getting the series available in print. I still need to redo most of the covers and perform some series proofing and editing. I have uploaded book 1 today and am awaiting review from Amazon.

Tonight's the night for the unveiling! I hope it was worth the wait.

There be pirates!
So I just found my books on a pirate site. I'm flatted and upset. Mostly flattered that someone felt they were worth stealing. I've had cars that couldn't make that claim.

I need a series name!
As I get close to writing the sequel to Shrouds of Darkness I need a series name. Toss me some ideas.

I think I figured out how to fix The Sorcerer's Ascension
I have had a problem (as well as some of my readers) with book 1, mainly dealing with Maude and her group. I KNOW any publisher or agent is going to insist they be cut out, but I tied them into the story too much at the end to do that. What I plan to do is remove them entirely from book 1 and not put them in until toward the end. I am also going to remove their underwater adventure entirely. This will insert them into the series closer toward the time they hook up with Azerick so they integrate with the primary story much faster and smoother. Once I do that, I can start working on improving the editing and making the series available for print.

First draft is finally finished.
I finally finished Book 8 and now must sit down and read and proof and reread and proof and edit and proof. The worst part by far. At a 136,000 words I think I hit the mark for a proper length without slowing the pace of the story down at all. In fact, some will probably find it too fast. I hope the epic battles do not become tedious for the reader. That is my biggest concern thus far.

And I opened my wallet and braced myself against the cries of anguished dead presidents.
So I finally hired a professional cover designer for book 7 and this is what I got:
Worth it? I sure think so. What do you think?

Close to the end and getting closer
Just finished chopping and loading up a truck and trailer of wood. I'm pooped. I'm so close to the end of this book I can smell it. It smells pretty good. Like fresh cut grass. That could be my neighbor mowing his lawn, but I like to think it's both. I have also started my first proof read while I'm not in the zone to write.
