Joe Lansdale is a hero of mine and I've been in awe with how seamlessly he's managed to meld them both. I figured it was time I got off my keister and got to work spinning my own yarn of cowboys and terror. (less)

“It was one thing to talk about ghosts, quite another to have them messing around with things in the physical world.”
Hunter Shea, Island of the Forbidden

“The Devil’s coarse, mangled penis rose from between Heather’s legs. She was lifted inches off the ground by its turbid protrusion. Boring its vile gaze into April, it said in a voice as deep as a canyon and old as time itself, “For you.”
Hunter Shea, The Jersey Devil

“A man must always take advantage of opportunities to piss and sleep. I've done the one, now it's time to do the other.”
Hunter Shea, Hell Hole

“Do not let your fire go out, spark by irreplaceable spark in the hopeless swamps of the not-quite, the not-yet, and the not-at-all. Do not let the hero in your soul perish in lonely frustration for the life you deserved and have never been able to reach. The world you desire can be won. It exists.. it is real.. it is possible.. it's yours.”
Ayn Rand, Atlas Shrugged

“There is no friend as loyal as a book.”
Ernest Hemingway
