The Simpsons- Epic

This past Sunday was the 500th episode of The Simpson's which is epic.  Homer Simpson is one of my most favorite people on the entire planet, and yes I do realize that he's not real.  I was excited to see what awesome quotes he would throw out during the episode, and I wasn't disappointed at all.  So just to keep it short and sweet, here are the two most awesome quotes from The Simpson's 500th episode:

"Liza, everyone knows that dragons don't attack.  Jeez.  Pick up a book."

"Don't worry.  My last words will be, I can outrun that lion!"

Just Because

I was just sitting at the computer and realized that I haven't written a blog post in a few days and then I wanted to write one.  The issue with that is that I don't have much to talk about :) So, with that being said, let me begin to be random as I so love to do.

Beautiful Creatures, an awesome series by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl, is being made into a movie.  So that's another thing for me to obsess over until it comes out.  I'd better start my list of "must include" scenes that are vital to the story and better not be left out of the movie or else.  Or else what, you ask?  Or else I will be completely upset that's what.

Oh and something that's a little less random, Abstrus is available for 99 cent on Nook, Kindle, and iBooks for a limited time.  I'm considering doing a free promotion again to try and get more reviews for the books, but we shall see.

And finally, I leave you with the National Anthem in honor of Ms. Whitney Houston.  RIP. 

The Hunger Games Movie Trailer

So anyone that knows me knows how incredibly into movies I am.  They are my absolute favorite thing in the world (after books.) So what could make me happier than a movie based on a book?? I've talked about The Hunger Games trilogy before and how much I loved it.  When I first found and read the books, I had no idea that a movie was in the works.  Yes, I do sometimes live under a rock in case you were wondering.  The movie trailer for the first book has been released and I just had to share it for those who have not already seen it.  I am literally counting down the days until March 23!

Abstrus Blog Tour Schedule

The very first Abstrus blog tour is fast approaching.  I'm anxiously awaiting its start.  I will keep this post short and sweet because my burning eyes are letting me know it's past my bedtime.  And yes, I'm well aware that it's only 9:20pm.  Don't judge...

Whaaaaat? I Got Nominated?

Imagine my surprise to find that I've been nominated for the Versatile Blogger Award! 


I'm so happy! It does make me want to go back and reread some of my older blog posts to see what I've been talking about lol.  I was nominated by Bridget Bowers and am so honored!  Check out her blog here while we're at it.

The purpose of the award is to spread the awareness of great blogs out there.  I think this is so cool and I'm very glad to participate.  So the Versatile Blogger Award Rules:

Random facts about me:

1. I quote Homer Simpson better than any great writer, past or present.  (Not sure if this is a good thing or a bad one.)
2. I absolutely love Ramen noodles.  They are a delicacy in my house.
3. My favorite color is orange.  I have orange couches, orange bed spread, orange bathroom decor, so forth and so on... My wedding colors are even orange and silver.  (But I'm not a UT fan)
4.  I have a pit bull and a chihuahua... The chihuahua is the bossy one.
5. I can't function on my computer unless my windows in the task bar are in a certain order.  If I accidentally close something, I have to close everything and start over. 
6. At one point in my life, for a stretch of about a year, I couldn't fall asleep without Nick-At-Night being on TV.
7. I'm a gamer.  I don't have much time for it these days, but I love them.  I had a secret love affair with Resident Evil 5.

Sion Soundtrack

The good news is I finally finished putting together the Sion soundtrack.  Well, actually that statement made it sound like I've been working on the soundtrack for weeks, so let me amend so I'm telling some form of the truth... The good news is I finally sat down long enough to put together the soundtrack.  (There.  That's better.)  The bad news is... well, really there isn't any. Yay! I got to sleep in today for the first time since I can remember and I ate Mexican food last night.  I'd say, that's doing pretty good.
