Happy Birthday to Me! And a Gift for YOU!

I’ve always loved chick lit. There’s something I connect to with the heroines who go on these journeys to finding themselves. I think my journey to figuring out what I really wanted in life took me a while too. Although there were a lot less shopping trips and credit card payments, and there was not a single solitary stiletto to be seen. Lately, I’ve been reading a ton of chick lit and I feel the overwhelming urge to buy myself my first ever pair of stilettos. I have no where to wear them other than to school pickup for my kids, which somehow doesn’t seem entirely appropriate. Big News!

My new publisher!

I’ve been sitting on this news for a while, but now things seem to be really underway so it’s time to tell…

I’ve signed a new book contract with Crimson Romance!! Crimson is a new romance imprint from Adams Media!! And well, I didn’t just sign one contract…

I signed 3 contracts!!! 3 BOOKS!!! Can you believe it? WOOT! SQUEE!

The first novel contracted — FALLING FOR YOU — is the first contemporary romance novel I ever wrote! (formerly titled You’re Not the One) It was the story that made me start writing and I’m thrilled people are finally going to read it! The other contracts are for 2 sequels, STUCK WITH YOU and LOST WITHOUT YOU, yet to be written!

All three take place during filming of reality TV shows. Finally, my guilty pleasure TV watching comes in handy!

Sighing, Julia propped her head in her hand and resigned herself to the fact she wasn’t likely to get a drink anytime soon. In a normal setting, people looked right through her. Why had she thought the bar would be any different?

Why is coming to the club fun?

Maybe if she was tall and blonde, with her breasts bursting out of her top like so many of the other women she saw around the bar, she’d stand a chance of being noticed. But, with her straight black hair falling slightly above her shoulders and a dress only providing a hint of what hid underneath, she simply couldn’t compete.

I like Easter as a holiday. It's fun for the kids and I get to eat a lot of chocolate. My favorite begin Cadbury mini eggs and cream eggs. Delicious! Every year we dip Easter eggs in dye and make a huge mess. And the bunny always leaves a bunch of eggs around the house and outside for the kids to find filled with candy, chocolate, stickers, and tiny toys. So fun!!
