T is for a Tasty Treat!

Today I’m thinking about tasty treats. I thought I might be able to find a recipe for something but it turns out that most every tasty treat I make comes from a package. LOL. So instead, how about we just discuss what treats we like best. I’m a chocolate girl myself. My favorite has to be warm chocolate brownies with icing. Yum. Now I wish I had some brownie mix in the cabinet…

What’s your favorite treat?

S is for Summertime!

I know it’s only spring, but I’m already dreaming of the summer. Sunshine, BBQs, margaritas on the deck. Ah, it just sounds so good… Only a few more months and summer will be here. I can’t wait!

So what are you dreaming of come summertime??

R is for Review

If you’ve ever read a book and fallen in love with the story or the characters or the writing, then the best way you can say thank you is to write a review! It’s a fact that reviews help to sell books. It’s like you going out for dinner with friends and telling them about this awesome book you just read and why they should read it too. Leaving a review online is no different. You’re just telling strangers!

So, have you read one of my books and NOT left a review yet? Leave one today (You can find my books HERE!) and help this very appreciative author out! Love you! Kisses. *mwah*

Q is for Queen B

Today’s A-Z challenge post is dedicated to the Queen B… B*tch! If you’ve read my Reality TV Romance series, then you know I”m talking about Zoe—the Queen of all B*tches. She sarcastic and grumpy and has an opinion about everything whether you want to hear it or not. And… I love her. She is a blast. I’ve had so much fun writing her! And as far as I can tell, my readers love to hate her!

So here’s to Queen B Zoe!

“Not hungry?” Cassidy asked.

“Oh no, I’m starved. But there’s no way I’m eating all those calories when I have to go on television tomorrow. I’ve heard the camera adds ten pounds and I really don’t need any extra. Well, unless they could add it to my boobs.”

Cassidy evaluated her own plate. It wasn’t overflowing, but it wasn’t celery, either. “Hmm, you’re probably right.” She took a bite of chocolate cake. “But if I starved myself, I’d be cranky and trust me, no one would want to see that on TV.” She savored the taste of the creamy chocolate as it melted in her mouth.

“Maybe you should follow her lead and put your fork down,” a voice said, dripping with disdain.

Cassidy swallowed her bite. Of course, the voice belonged to the prettiest girl in the room. She had long blonde hair, vibrant blue eyes, and legs that could walk across the pages of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue.

“Why, exactly?” Cassidy paused, her fork poised above the cake.

“She’s right about the camera.” The girl eyed Cassidy up and down as she stirred a tall glass of iced tea. “But I guess you’re not much competition anyway, are you? You may as well enjoy your cake while you’re still here.” The girl snickered and sauntered away.

“Wow. Who was that bitch?” Cassidy stabbed the cake and took another bite just to spite the bitchy blonde’s jiggle-free, size two ass as it walked away.

“That’s Zoe Oliver. She’s some big-shot singer or something. I bet she’s going to win this whole thing.”

Want to read more about Zoe? You can check her out in FALLING FOR YOU  and also STUCK ON YOU! And in July, Zoe Oliver becomes the star of her own story why LOST WITHOUT YOU releases. Think you know Zoe? Think again. She isn’t what she seems…

P is for Prepper

Oh, I did it. I said the P word — PREPPER. So what is a prepper? There are varying degrees of prepping, but basically it’s just someone who plans for the future. They aren’t all people who think the world as they know it is going to end, although there is a huge movement of these people. Some go so far as to stockpile food, weapons, water and even build a bunker. Others are people, like me, who simply have a plan so that if there is an emergency of any kind — earthquake, flood, hurricane, or power outage — that I can take care of my family and keep us safe. To me, this simply means have a couple of weeks of food on hand, some extra water, batteries, generator with fuel, and any other things I think might come in handy. So that’s it. That’s a prepper.

Are you a prepper in any way? Do you have a plan for your family if the power goes out or if a storm rolls in? Feel free to share it in the comments!

My first prepper romance with Decadent Publishing is here! Here’s the blurb for ESCAPE TO MY ARMS:

Escape to my Arms is an upcoming novella with Decadent Publishings new Prepper Romance line. I’m super excited to be a part of this great new line from Decadent. Here’s the blurb for Escape to my Arms:

Sara’s been preparing for this moment her whole life—she just never believed it would actually happen. With her bug-out bag and emergency food already in her truck, her only goal is to get to her family’s hidden bunker and wait out the pandemic that’s hit every major cruise ship port in the US. But her plan quickly falls apart. She’s out of gas, her route to the bunker is now a two-lane parking lot with no alternative in sight and her only weapon is a pocketknife. For an experienced prepper, she’s making every rookie mistake.

Dane believes he’s safe in his cabin, off the beaten path and in the woods with his own source for water, electricity and an endless supply of food to hunt. After finding Sara stranded and alone, he’s suddenly not only providing for and protecting himself, but also the girl who wandered out of the woods and into his life. When looters come looking to take what he has, Sara and Dane’s only option is to make a run for their last hope—the bunker.

Can Sara and Dane find safety in each other’s arms and the strength to survive long enough to escape to the hidden bunker and their future together?

O is for One

Today in the A-Z Challenge, it’s O day. And O is for… One. As in, #1. First. Top dog. Wouldn’t it be great to come in first for something? I’ve never come in #1 for anything. Ever. But I’d really love it if that happened one day for any one of my books. I’m not even picky about which book it has to be. Just any of them at the #1 spot on a list would be so amazing. But I can’t get there on my own. No writer can. We can only get to #1 with the help of our awesome readers. So how can YOU help your favorite authors get to number one? Simple really, just follow these steps:

Buy books. (You can check out my books HERE!)
Leave reviews.
Let your voice be heard and tell your friends, family, coworkers and stranger about the great books you read!

See, simple!

Have you ever wanted to be #1 in anything? Tell me about it in the comments.

N is for New Release!

New release! Today I’m celebrating the release of  ESCAPE TO MY ARMS a prepper romance from Decadent Publishing. It’s such a fun book! Even if you’re not a prepper, you’ll enjoy this one. It’s got romance, adventure, danger, threat of peril, bad guys, an escape and of course some sexy steamy scenes! What more could you ask for in one book?!

ESCAPE TO MY ARMS is available at:         Decadent               Amazon

Here’s a little excerpt!

Sara sipped her wine and nibbled on another square of chocolate. He was right. Again.

They didn’t know what would happen in the future. Hell, they didn’t even know if there was a future to look forward to at this point. So why shouldn’t they enjoy the moments like this one while they could? Moments when they were safe, warm, fed, and comfortable. They might not get many more nights like this if things kept getting worse, as they seemed to be. Best to savor the time while you had it instead of squandering it away with fights.

At this point, she didn’t even know what future awaited her at the bunker. Would she live with her family for the rest of their lives, never to interact with people from the outside world again? That’s sort of what they wanted, wasn’t it? Wasn’t that why they hadn’t told anyone about the bunker, because they couldn’t trust anyone?

What if this was her last night on her own? It might be her last night to live her life however she wanted to before she had to start making group decisions with her family.

“You’re right.” She polished off the last of her wine in a big gulp. Her head already swirled with the effects of the alcohol. She’d always been a lightweight when it came to getting drunk. Tonight would be no different. Good thing she’d planned to stop at one this evening. She had other plans for the rest of the night.

“Right about what exactly? I said a bunch of stuff.”

She put her wineglass on the floor and took his hand in hers. “You were right about enjoying this moment we have tonight since we don’t know what the future holds, or even if we have a future.”

“Does this mean I’m forgiven?” He smiled, squeezing her hand.

“Yes. And then some.”

Sara took the wineglass from his hand and set it down next to hers, then straddled his lap, resting her hands on his chest. She pressed her mouth to his, delighting in the surprise on his face.

She wasn’t a throw-caution-to-the-wind kind of girl, but for once she was going to do just that, since she didn’t know if she’d have wind to be cautious of later on. Tonight, she’d live by her feelings. Tomorrow she’d go back to surviving.

M is for Meadow Ridge

Meadow Ridge a fictional community I created for a group of characters. It’s a gated community, with it’s own shops, schools, hospital and residences. I filled it with the wealthiest characters I could think of in a world of privilege, luxury and obligations. My characters from the Meadow might seem shallow and selfish at first glance, but they all have a deeper level, an inner turmoil that even a life of wealth can’t protect them from. My favorite of the series is LOVE ON LANDING, the second book. They can be read alone or together, in order or out.

Have you ever been somewhere like Meadow Ridge in real life??
