Anywho, The Eerie is where bad hair bands go to die. Literally. I don't want to give you any more than that, but suffice it to say you haven't seen a Battle of the Bands like this one before. God help you if you have. I got a late start today, thanks to troubling dreams about cranberries (Tim's) and handguns (mine). Yep, we're sick as hell. I'm postponing writing the battle scene until tomorrow, for that reason, but fear not, I've got some fun stuff in store for the blogosphere today!
Today's Dr. Who reindeer graphics (if they appear on your screen one at a time, please make sure and scroll through, for the win!) herald the arrival of one Mr. Axel Howerton, Time Lord, Bad-Ass Dad, and veeeeeeery cool writer. As you may have noticed, I've shaved 10k off the total word count, because I don't think it's going to stretch out that long. I've just set the stage (literally) for the final epic showdown, and all that's left to do is unleash the angry hoards, start up the battle of the bands, and see who emerges victorious: Kirk or Spock.

The next thing I need to do today before penning guest blogs for Jeff Mariotte & Ty Hutchinson is send an email to my mailing list. Are you on my mailing list? Do you want to be?
I guess the better question would be "Why would you want to be?" Well, the answer to that is pretty straight-forward: 1.) You're a fan of mine (ah, shucks!) and 2.) You want to be the first to know what I'm up to, in terms of work and the fun little hijinks I get up to on the site (in other words, giveaways & stuff) and 3.) You like to share your opinions. I have my mailing list to thank for the final iteration of This Brilliant Darkness' paperback cover. I emailed them and they responded right away, and it was *their* voices that I took to heart. (That book should be available this week.)
I don't email them very often, but when I do, they don't let me down, so I try and keep them up-to-date with the best insider info into what my plans are each month.
