One last Test Render, I promise!
While I wait for the animation test I am currently rendering to finish (Hopefully Irene doesn't cut the power off on me in the middle of another render), I thought I would share one more test. This one I have included the ship, a starry sky, and tweaked the lighting to be more dramatic. I won't be posting any more test images before the full reveal, but I will be posting the test render tonight,

A Sneak peek into the Judgment Cove Book Trailer!
I just wanted to give everyone a little glimpse into the work I'm doing for the Judgment Cove Book Trailer.
I still have to add in the background, tweak the lighting, and add in the pirate ship, but it's getting there.
(It's grainy because I rendered it at low resolution and compressed it for the web. The final product will be in HD)
Let me know what you think? If enough

Feminism and it's effects on the current book market.
Statistics.
Sorry, didn't mean to swear on my blog (well, this one anyways, lol), but at times they can be useful.
I will get to the Statistics in a bit, but I wanted to preface them first by giving a little context.
Unless you've been living in a cave, you know that we are in a down economy. As an aspiring writer attempting to be honest with myself, I have to realize that novels are

Wow, what a difference 24 hours makes!
24 hours ago I found myself in the middle of a top to bottom redesign of www.christophergodsoe.com, and now it is starting to round into form.
I learned more about editing .xml than I ever thought I would, but hey, idle hands are the devils playground, right? So a fresh coat of paint, a much more efficient layout, and now I feel like I can get back to writing again.

Writing Science Fiction-The "Science" behind predicting the future.
Science Fiction is not a new genre. For as long as there has been science, there have been people curious of what it will one day bring to society, and many of those curiosities have become entwined in narratives.
While it is common to aspire to become greater than what you are, what you were born as or capable of, many of these Science Fiction stories have concentrate too much on pressing

Alright, here's the plan....
If you have somehow managed to miss my nearly constant references, am currently gearing up to write my first full length novel. I have erected several tent posts in my mind that I believe will unleash my inner savantitude (yep, I did just make that word up, but it's what I do, make stuff up).
I had decided to keep alot of this stuff to myself, mainly because I either did not know how effective

Judgment Cove now on Sale! .99 cents at Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
I wanted to make sure that Judgment Cove was available and fully listed in both Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble.com before I had the coming out party on my blog, and I feel safe now in doing so.
I've included the first chapter below to whet your appetites ;-)
I am really happy with the way it came out, and the links to purchase it ( 99 cents y'all ) are active on the "ebooks" tab on the

Now that that's out of the way...
Alright.
I just sent "Judgment Cove" off to the e-presses at both Amazon's Kindle Store and Barnes and Noble.
When I decided to take the reigns and self-publish, I knew that it would be more work, and I also knew that I would have greater creative control over my stories. Is it taking longer to finish my projects? Absolutely. Am I completely friggin' pumped at the results?
You bet your sweet

More changes, and a New eBook section!
I decided that with "Judgment Cove" coming out soon and "AZTLAN" not far behind I should start cleaning up a little bit
in the Bookshelf page of this site. I also came to the conclusion that a simple
way of finding which eBook version is right for your ereader might keep
everything straightforward once more titles start filtering in over the next
few weeks.
So instead of the old "Bookshelf"

Who says Democracy is Dead?
I have a Dilemma.
I have a few different projects that I have been juggling, some you know about, and some you don't (yet).
One of the projects that I have been toying with when I feel I need a break from writing is designing book covers for my stories, both ones that are already done and ones that haven't been announced yet. It feels like I haven't been doing much at all because I haven't had
