Small Faith + Obedience = Big Faith

Desires of My Heart – Review
"Heather really made me think while reading this e-book. I found myself questioning my motives for so many things. Ironically, I even found myself questioning my motive for reading through the Bible in 90 days, rather reading at 'my own pace.'

Sometimes the best thing we can do is simply share what is on our heart…the good, bad, and the ugly.
Thinking I've Got it All Under Control…
I read a lot. Books on how to do this, and how to do that. It is sometimes overwhelming, and I often find myself trying to follow along step by step on what I should and shouldn't do next.
How to articles and books are great for things we have control over, like fixing the furnace or water heater. These are things we can control because they are objects. The furnace or water heater is a machine we can fix machines.

I knew pregnancy would come with risks. My husband and I stepped out on faith anyway. I had been told for years by my cardiologists not to try to have a baby due to my complex congenital heart defect. But since my fourth heart surgery in 1999 when I was 25 years old and with the implantation of a pacemaker, I felt great. I actually felt healthy.

Sometimes when we are struggling through life's perplexing problems and think we are doing all the work, we start to desire kudos. We may have accepted Christ as a child, and yes I did about 5 years old, but stumbled through the teenage years. It might have taken years to realize the work that Christ was doing in our lives day after day, because our tears blinded us to truth.
