Having Faith

I knew pregnancy would come with risks. My husband and I stepped out on faith anyway. I had been told for years by my cardiologists not to try to have a baby due to my complex congenital heart defect. But since my fourth heart surgery in 1999 when I was 25 years old and with the implantation of a pacemaker, I felt great. I actually felt healthy.
