Error with the Barnes and Noble copy…
So, it appears there was an error on Barnes and Noble when I uploaded the new file for OUT OF LINE yesterday. I don’t know what the issue was, but I re-loaded the file again, and the problem should be fixed soon.
I have no idea how long it takes for Barnes and Noble to fix the error after I made the changes needed, but I’m hoping it’s sooner rather than later! If you’ve gotten a bad file, please let Barnes and Noble know and they should be able to give you the correct file and/or a refund to purchase the correct file.
I’m so sorry for any inconvenience this might have caused! I have no idea what happened, but I took the steps to fix it! *hugs*

HOLY CRAP! Someone got a FINN tattoo!!
My friend (and fah-bu-lous book blogger over at Read-Love-Blog) gets book tattoos of her favorite reads. Imagine my surprise when she told me she was getting a FINN TATTOO! I wasn’t sure whether I was dreaming or not, but I wasn’t! She did it! And it’s freaking marvelous! Check it out!
I have to admit. I’d seen other people getting book tattoos and I thought to myself, “Self. If anyone ever gets a tattoo of something from on of your books, pinch yourself. You’re dreaming.”
But I’m not! I checked!
This is so, so cool! To have touched someone with my story of Carrie and Finn in a big enough to have them get a tattoo is simply the icing off the cake of a tremendously huge week!
Thank you, Jill! I’m honored to be included amongst the rest of your book ink!! And I believe Finn would approve mightily of your choice!

And the #OutOfLine #1.5 title and release date is…
Some of you guessed this one (go you!!) and I’m thrilled to announce that the title of the OUT OF LINE novella is OUT OF TIME!
OUT OF TIME will center directly around the teaser at the end of the book, the moment you all know if you’ve read it, and starts the morning after the end of OUT OF LINE. Then book two will take place a month or two after that.
OUT OF TIME (OUT OF LINE #1.5) is approximately 34,000 words long and is a novella. Watch for it to hit stores on December 17th, 2013! Yep, in time for Christmas! Merry Christmas, ya’ll!

So, USA Today reviewed #OutOfLine! Ahhh!

Out of Line by Jen McLaughlin
As the daughter of a U.S. senator, Carrie Wallington has been afforded anything, and everything money can buy. However, as is said, money can’t buy happiness and Carrie hasn’t been allowed to spread her wings due to being under constant surveillance by her overprotective father’s security posse. Now a freshman at a college that is as far away from her parents as she could possibly manage, Carrie feels free for the first time in her life as Daddy’s watchdogs are nowhere in sight. It’s understandable that Carrie has a real hate-on for security men and is suspicious of any guy who fits the profile. Adjusting to college life hasn’t been easy. Carrie’s not a party girl, and her “lameness” doesn’t jive with her outgoing roommate’s penchant for living on the wild side. Then Carrie meets the very hot, tattooed Marine reservist and avid surfer Finn Coram, and he introduces her to a whole realm of new experiences.
You gotta love conflict, and McLaughlin ramps it up from the get-go by characterizing Finn as an employee at his father’s security company, the same one commissioned by Sen. Wallington. Finn is sent to work undercover and “babysit” Carrie while she is attending college. He is attracted to Carrie, but she is strictly off-limits. Further, Finn has a preconceived notion that Carrie is the stereotypical vacant, spoiled, rich girl, who is at college to party and spend her daddy’s money. Finn soon learns that Carrie Wallington is not what he expected; she is spirited, intelligent and generous, has a strong social conscience, is fun to be with, and as they spend more time together, forbidden love blooms. The love scenes in this story are more sexually explicit than many of the New Adult novels I’ve read, but, that said, the eroticism is tasteful and sensitive, and the sensuality suits the storyline.
Needless to say, their relationship turns very sour when Carrie discovers that Finn has deceived her, and it’s a very tough road to reconciliation. I empathized with Finn and Carrie as they struggled through the hurt and guilt associated with his deception. Finn’s protective nature and tenderness toward Carrie shone through and made me long for her to forgive him. Jen McLaughin’s debut in the New Adult genre is a gem that I thoroughly enjoyed and that kept me engaged from the opening pages.
My one nitpick is, while I don’t mind sequels, I am getting weary of cliffhangers, and there is an unnecessary one dropped at the end of Out of Line that leads into Finn and Carrie’s continuing story, to be published in 2014.
Considering the fact that it’s only 99 cents this week AND signed by me….what are you waiting for? Go buy it and read it and see if you agree with USA TODAY!
