This LGBT novel could be free for future generations with your help
( if the crowd-funding campaign succeeds by January 30, 2013)
Nancy Rawles explains why she wants to make her novel free forever:
Ebooks ought to be like cell phones – giving people access who would otherwise have no service. If a young lesbian of color struggling to come out to her family wants to read a book about a young lesbian of color struggling to come out to her family, she should have it available free as an ebook rather than ha...

An Author’s Favorite Book
Every author has writtena favoritebook. It’s their baby, no matter how flawed, criticized, or demeaned, that particular book will always stand out for them. It’s kind of like having a favorite child, you really don’t want to say it in public and hurt anyone’s feelings, but the truth is still there. You simply can’t help it.
This year I’ll be talking with LGBT authors about their own favorite books (among other things). We’ll discuss what those books mean to them, how they developed the manuscri...

A Reverse Lolita or Gerontophilia – LGBT Film
Bruce LaBruce’s new film Gerontophilia poses an interesting question. What happens when an 18 year old boy discovers he has a fetish for the aged and gets a job in a nursing home? This appears to be more than just a ‘daddy complex’ film. The young man is straight but develops an intimate relationship with an old man, setting them off on a journey of escape and illumination. It’s already being labelled as a gay Harold & Maude, but personally I’m hoping for a bit more than that. We’ll have to w...

What have you Accomplished?
When we started this writing crusade some 18+ months ago one of my first questions was how I could make a difference concerning those issues that are important to me. Making a difference doesn’t always mean a monetary donation as some believe. A difference can be made by the offer of a kind voice, and unbiased ear, a warm heart, or agentleembrace when it is needed most. I believe too many people shy away from what matters most to them because they fear that what they can offer is inadequate.

The Housework Muse
Anyone have one of those – a muse that does housework? No? Me either. In fact, when I get done from the realjob I come home and look around and shake my head, (especially if I’ve been travelling). I wonder why my muse can’t at least do the laundry, or…some damned thing.
Instead, when I come in the door she’s all about “Oh no, we have to talk about this, that, and the other thing…And while you were out worrying aboutmoney(apparentlya dirty word) I’ve come up with this great idea for…”
So we look...
