Flying

Every time I'm about to head to the airport, I think, "Maybe I should put on some cute little outfit. Like this is Pan Am in the '60s and I've got white heels and a hat box and I'm just crushing it."  
Instead I opted for sweatpants and a hoodie. GLAMOUR. FAIL.

Ah, Fall.  The leaves turn to orange, and my thoughts turn to sugar.  Cinnamon sugar, to be precise.  Brown sugar...cinnamon...apples...mmm....

Fall is my absolute favorite time of the year for baking (and we all know I love baking!)  Of course, summer fruits are fun, but nothing beats cozying up to a piping hot skillet of apple crisp.  CRISP.  That's right - CRISP.  Nature's most glorious dessert.

TBF Live! 2013

So this past weekend I was lucky enough to be part of the Teen Book Festival in Rochester (aka TBF LIVE 2013) and oh man, was it amazing!  There were 33 authors there, and thousands of readers.


One of my favorite parts of the day was having breakfast with the teen volunteers.  We had tons of fun discussing favorite books over donuts and breakfast pizza.
