And done

Today I turn 50. Yay. Happy birthday to me. After everything though, the past 12 months has easily qualified as my “mid-life crisis.”

This is my last weekend before I am back to working a full time. I have spent the last year (since August 2018) exploring a new path. Some didn’t pan out the way I hoped, but at least I can say I’ve tried something very different than the “9-5 grind.”

Some accomplishments:

By February, I had finished writing, revising and editing, then submitted and traditi...

Girlfriends Day

August 1 is National Girlfriends Day. So, in celebration, I’m sharing a snippet from Turn for Home of Brenna treating Cassidy to special time together.

"I do. I think it's a good script." Cassidy lifted her glass of chardonnay to her lips. A light smile touched the bow-shaped lips and the candlelight from the small tea light between them on the table flickered in the darkening blue. Cassidy blushed. In a low voice, she commented, "You're staring."
Brenna shrugged. "You're beautiful."
Brenna'...

Get to Know Me: Dogs

I haven’t put many pets in my writing, only because I haven’t found characters who “need” them. But I have always had pets. Growing up, my house always had two cats. But married life brought me dogs (spouse is allergic to cats).

Today, in celebration of Mutt’s Day, here’s a blog to get to know my dogs. In the comments, share pics and stories about your own doggos.

Gandalf

Our first dog was a purebred Sheltie (papers and everything). However, the breeder was throwing him away because he was “t...

Q: To sequel or not to sequel?

Since I’ve been focused on (mostly) promoting my third book, I hadn’t been through GoodReads and Amazon reviews for my first two novels, which are more traditionally contemporary F/F romance novels in quite a while.

When Pride Month (and a sales special on the first novel) had ended, I went looking for any reviews I hadn’t previously read and came away pleasantly surprised. Here are two of them:

There were other reviews too, but what stood out to me about these t...

Naked Vacation

To celebrate the second day of National Nude Recreation Week, I have a draft bit of We Fit, the sequel to We Three. It’s a scene when Eric, Elena, and Jess are staying at a clothing-optional resort. Note: the scene describes male and female nudity.

Feeling a cool breeze shifting against her skin, Jess opened her eyes, lifting a hand to shade them further from the waning sun. The beach umbrella they had set up after coming in from splashing in the low-rolling waves was no longer blocking the...

Body Painting

Today, July 8, is National Body Painting Day.

I’ve always thought of body paints as a sexy partner activity, and edible body paints, mmm

Body Painting is an incredibly beautiful form of art-performance, too. Orlando has a local group here called BASE (Body Arts Showcase and Exhibits) that brings artists and models together every month or two. I attended a movie and TV characters theme showcase.

If you’re ever in Orlando, definitely check them out. Prepare to be astonished. Over 18 admitted...

Naked Natural Beauty

July 7-13 this year is National Nude Recreation Week. The 14th is National Nude Day.

So let’s talk recreational nudity. The lifestylers are called naturists. Whether they are casual or full-time, finding and creating safe spaces is important. Wonderful weather can help, too. This makes Florida a prime spot. We have a couple nudist colonies, a couple clothing-optional resorts, and a wonderful clothing-optional beach.

Playalinda Beach

Canaveral National Seashore’s Playalinda Beach is located be...

6 months in

My third novel, We Three: One and One and One Makes Three, has been released for six months as of today. It’s definitely been a journey. Here are some highlights:

5-star reader reviews [image error] [image error] Book Talks and Interviews

I traveled to California and did a book reading at a polyamory social group. I was interviewed on a couple different podcasts: Polyamory Weekly and Queer Words.

More reviews…

A sex podcast and blogger By the Bi Podcast shared a review with their Patreon members and sent me a copy....

Throwback Thursday: Turn for Home

June 2019 is the 9th anniversary of the release of my 2nd novel Turn for Home. This sequel to Turning Point continues the story of Brenna Lanigan and Cassidy Hyland from my first novel, Turning Point.

At the beginning of Turning Point, Brenna and Cassidy were completely at odds with each other at their workplace: the filming set for the television series Time Trails.

As far as anyone is concerned — including themselves — they are straight.

It kind of shocks them to realize they’re falling in...

Tagged review on Twitter

A couple days ago I was tagged on a review of my book on Twitter:

[image error] [image error]

The reader posted these comments on Twitter because they couldn’t post it on Amazon. I love when a reader gets so caught up in a story I’ve written that they just forget the real world exists for a while. That’s what is “freaking awesome!” Thank you for reading!

So, take it from a satisfied reader, if you’re looking for bisexual, menage, erotic and romantic escapism, check out We Three: One and One and One Makes Three, availa...
