Against Company Policy Release Day!
It’s here! You can now read about Ian and Cassie’s story at a much cheaper price. I love this book. It was the first book that Ellora’s Cave accepted for publication, which happened the same week another publisher accepted the first book in my Woods Family Series. It was validation that I could actually do this writing thing.
I made lifelong connections in the years that I’ve been publishing with EC. They paved the way for steamy and erotic romance, so of course I wanted to be published by them. My decision to get the rights back to this book was nothing personal. I’ve said it many times, and I’ll say it again: writing is a passion, but publishing is a business. Now that I can release this book at a more competitive price, I hope to continue the series… in fact, I’m already working on the next book! But for now, if you never read the old incarnation Digital Possession, now’s your chance to dive into the new Love Against Odds series with Against Company Policy.

Happy Release Day
The start of my new Blue Balls Series has finally arrived! The first book, BLUE BALLS AND PUSH-UP BRAS, is now available everywhere!
Sex would be nice. But after giving birth, Sophie is a little self-conscious about her body, and her husband, Sawyer, hasn’t even tried coming on to her. What’s a girl to do? Don’t blab to your friends, that’s what! Their reaction is a mix of shock and pity, but they unite under one common goal: to get her laid. In one week, she’s going to show Sawyer just what he’s been neglecting. At her reluctance, the girls all agree to break out their push-up bras for a night of showing off their assets in support of her mission.
But Sophie wants it now. The talk with her friends sparks her to be the initiator, but when she tries turning on the charm, Sawyer still doesn’t give up the goods. Now the only big O she’s getting is offended.
So she hatches a little plan of her own…

Re-Release Announcement
Hi, y’all. I’ve been busy in my writing cave getting things ready for my agent to send to publishers, so I haven’t been blogging much here or on my other site (www.newadultauthor.com). Unfortunately, that’s not changing anytime soon unless someone out there perfects cloning technology.
I wanted to take a minute to let you know that I’ve gotten the rights back to my first ever Ellora’s Cave book, Digital Possession. I’m very proud of this book. I still remember the “call” (i.e. email) from my new editor accepting the manuscript. She loved it…even line and proof readers loved it (after contracts were signed and editing began). Unfortunately, I was a new author (I signed with them the same week I sold my first ever manuscript with any publisher, so I was still unpublished at the time), and not many people purchased the book. That happens.
But now that I have the rights back to this manuscript, I will be re-releasing it. YAY!! It’ll be rebranded and renamed since I do not own the rights to the cover, and it will be re-released at a much lower price: $2.99! As with any other author who works with publishers, I had no control over pricing of the original book. It is a publisher’s right to price accordingly to recoup their investment, and I total respect that. Publishing is a business, and although I do self-publish some projects, I will continue to work with publishers in the future.
It is my hope that when the new book is released at a lower price than before (Original sales price was $6.50…usually sold around $5.39 at third-party retailers) new readers will take notice. I’ll be updating my website in the coming weeks with the new information, so be on the lookout.

Me? I got concert tickets one year. Totally loved them. It was band I’d wanted to see since I was little (Bon Jovi) and they were playing in Nashville on Valentine’s Day. The gift had been kept secret until the day of, and I’d been totally surprised. Okay, now it’s your turn!

New Series is coming…and it’s different!
I wish I could remember exactly how I came up with the idea for this series. Alcohol might’ve been involved, just sayin’. But I do remember thinking I needed a break… a break from the shifters, and the guns, and gods, and the angst. I love writing romance, and I absolutely love that there’s just so much out there to write about.
But…
Oh c’mon, you knew there was a but coming.
But sometimes a gal just wants to have some fun. Born out of that need (and tequila) came the thought, “What if I write about situations where peeps can’t get their groove on?” And oh boy, the plot bunnies started hopping. So that’s what I’m doing. The Blue Balls books are fun stories that focus on a couple and a given situation where they’re unable—for whatever reason—to get the goods.
Rule number one? There are no rules. (yeah, I got that from Fight Club, Zombieland, and prolly a bunch of others). What do I mean by that? Well, some of these books will have couples already formed. In fact, the first several will. Usually in romance books, the readers get to be there while the couple comes together. There will be some of those, but not at first. Also, all these stories will be novella length…any longer, I’ll try forcing in drama, angst, etc. Not to say there won’t be any, because remember, there are no rules here. But, I want these stories to be fun reads (and I have too many novel length works I already have to pen this year).
The first book in this series is titled Blue Balls and Push-Up Bras and releases March 10th! That’s not too far away, so I want to start sharing now. This cover is rockin’! It totally captures the fun feel of the series, and I’m completely thrilled with it. Seriously, I want to print it out and hang it everywhere! So where is it?? You’ll have to wait until Wednesday to see it.

Best of 2013 Giveaway Hop
What a year this has been! This time last year, I was getting ready to self-publish my Y/A series under my M.W. Muse pen name and was scared to death about trying my hand at going at it alone—I say alone…I still hired editors, artists, formatters, etc., but I’d been used to letting my publishers deal with all of that stuff. That book went on to reach number one in Teen Romance in April and again in August.; I signed with a agent on my latest manuscript (after multiple offers); and I even got to entertain interest in the film and television rights to that same series (my agent is dealing with that now).
Besides the professional accomplishments I’ve achieved, I’ve also had the chance to meet some awesome authors. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again…I’m first a reader. And yes, I’ve been known to sneak away from my table during signings to run across the room to get a book signed by one of my favs. Total fan girl here.
This year I’ve met and had lunch with Sylvia Day (twice! She’s a very smart, business savvy lady), had drinks with Megan Hart, Lauren Dane, Lillian Hart, Shayla Black, Lorelei James, Eve Langlais…and probably many others, which doesn’t include the ones I’ve met and chatted with in passing or in seminars… authors such as Gena Showalter, Jamie McGuire, and Heather Graham (who I almost ran into, literally, when going into the restroom).
