Chicago, Chicago is ~ a place I LOVE to visit

A couple of weekends ago I wasin Chicago and unfortunatelyspent almost all my time in hotel rooms and restaurants. I got to see very little ofCarl Sandburg’s City of the Big Shoulders. So I’ll share some pictures taken from the Navy Pier on a previous visit.

Sadly one of my favorite places to go in Chicago no longer exists. The Smith Museum of Stained Glass on the Navy Pier closed in 2014 to make way for new retail space. Here’s one of the outstanding examples of stained glass art.
