MADE OF STARS ARC GIVEAWAY!
This has been a long time coming, right? I've been so excited to have an ARC to share.
a Rafflecopter giveaway

When eighteen-year-old Hunter Jackson and his half sister, Ashlin, return to their dad's for the first winter in years, they expect everything to be just like the warmer months they'd spent there as kids. And it is--at first. But Chance, the charismatic and adventurous boy who made their summers epic, is harboring deep secrets. Secrets that are quickly spiraling into something else entirely.
The reason they've never met Chance's parents or seen his home is becoming clearer. And what the siblings used to think of as Chance's quirks--the outrageous stories, his clinginess, his dangerous impulsiveness--are now warning signs that something is seriously off.
Then someone turns up with a bullet to the head, and all eyes shift to Chance and his family. Hunter and Ashlin know Chance is innocent...they just have to prove it. But how can they protect the boy they both love when they can't trust a word he says?

DJ DeSmyter's new DELIRIUM song release!
When he’s not writing, YA author DJ DeSmyter (
Hunted
) can often be found sitting at the piano stringing melodies and chords together to create songs. His journey as a singer/songwriter has led him to organizing benefit concerts and releasing songs on his own YouTube channel under the name The Wishing Well. In 2011, his song “Delirium” was chosen by HarperCollins to be the official fan song for the bestselling novel of the same name by Lauren Oliver.
Today, DJ is excited to share another Delirium-inspired song, this time using the words from “A Child’s Walk Home”, which appears in the trilogy as a nursery rhyme. And to help celebrate the song’s release, DJ is giving away a paperback copy of Delirium signed by Lauren Oliver!

Cover reveal: SEARCHING FOR BEAUTIFUL by Nyrae Dawn
Today Nyrae Dawn and Entangled Teen are revealing the cover for SEARCHING FOR BEAUTIFUL, which releases on March 4, 2014. Also enter below for a paperback of the book or an eBook!
On to the reveal!
Goodreads/Amazon/Barnes & Noble/
Excerpt for Searching for Beautiful:
Christian looks at me. I wait for a smart-aleck reply or a smile but get neither. Just his blue eyes sucking me in like a whirlpool. “That’s what I thought you would say. So you just have to keep fighting for it. Keep fighting to get it back.”
My eyes won’t leave his and his won’t leave mine. And he’s cute. God, he’s so cute, I just want to focus on his cuteness. I want that to be all that matters. When his hand comes up and cups my cheek, I gasp. He brushes his thumb under my eye and licks his lips and I’m frozen and on fire and close to having a heart attack and anxious all at the same time.
Slowly, he leans forward and I know he’s giving me time. And my heart is leaping and I want to feel his lips. This is Christian. The boy who asked me to dance. The boy I ran to my mom about and told her that I loved. And now he’s my friend. The first person who has made me feel normal since everything happened.
But I’m so scared. Scared of messing it up. Scared he’ll decide he doesn’t want me. Scared of losing him. Of getting hurt.
He gets closer and I smell his sweet, sugary scent. See his mouth and wet lips and that hair I want to touch.
See the one person besides Emery who I have. The one person I can’t lose. “Wait,” I say and Christian stops moving. He’s still close. So very, very close that his lips are only an inch away from mine. “I’m scared,” I admit.
“I won’t hurt you.”
And I swear a part of me believes him. Maybe all of me. But how do I know if that’s the right decision or not?
He runs his hand down my face and touches my hair. Love that he’s not nervous to do it the way I am with him and I watch his fingers, brown against my red hair.
“Go out with me, Bryntastic. Let’s go do something this weekend. Don’t keep running. I won’t even try to kiss you again unless you tell me to. Or I’ll wait for you to do it. Just let go. Live.”
His words are what I want. I want them so badly and they sound so perfect that it’s hard not to just scream, “Yes!” right now. “Why?” I ask him. “Why are you so nice to me?”
I love his strength. Love that he doesn’t even hesitates before saying, “Because you were my first crush. Because I used to watch you conqueror anything and used to listen to you laugh with your friends. You were happy and I loved your smile. Because I had to work up the courage to ask you to dance and I did, and then I left and the one thing I missed was that smile. I watched my sister lose hers and watched my family fall apart and when I came back here? I wanted to see your smile again. Because you’re beautiful when you smile and you’ve lost it now. I want you to conquer this because what the hell is the purpose in it all if the first girl I ever danced with loses her smile?”
I don’t realize I’m crying until Christian wipes my tears. “You think I’m beautiful?”
About Nyrae Dawn:
Writing has always been Nyrae Dawn’s passion. There have been times in her life where she wasn’t able to chase that dream the way she desired, but she always found her way back to telling stories.
One of her loves has always been writing about teens. There’s something so fresh and fun about the age that she loves exploring. Her husband says it’s because she doesn’t want to grow up. She doesn’t think that’s such a bad thing and luckily for her, he doesn’t either.
Nyrae gravitates toward character-driven stories. She loves going on emotional journeys with characters whether it be reading or writing. And yes, she’s a total romantic at heart and proud.
Nyrae resides in sunny Southern California with her husband (who still makes her swoon) and her two awesome kids.
When she’s not with her family, you can be pretty sure you’ll find her with a book in her hand or her laptop and an open document in front of her.
She writes for Entangled Publishing, Grand Central Publishing and is self-published.
Nyrae is represented by Jane Dystel of Dystel and Goderich Literary Management.

On to the reveal!

Blurb:
Before, Brynn had a group of best friends, a loving boyfriend, a growing talent for pottery. She had a life. And after…she had none.
When Brynn lost the boyfriend who never loved her, the friends who feel she betrayed their trust, and the new life just beginning to grow inside her, she believes her future is as empty as her body. But then Christian, the boy next door, starts coming around. Playing his guitar and pushing her to create art once more. She meets some new friends at the local community center, plus even gets her dad to look her in the eye again…sort of.
But can Brynn open up her heart to truly find her life’s own beauty, when living for the after means letting go of the before?

Haven't you heard? FACADE is out!
So chances are, you've heard of this awesome little book called CHARADE by Nyrae Dawn. It reached the top 50 of Amazon Kindle, and the remaining books in the series were quickly snatched up by a publisher.
Step 1. If you haven't already read CHARADE, you should probably do that.
Step 2. Book TWO in the series, FACADE, is now available! So you should grab it.
Step 3. Swoon, fawn, cry, fall in love with it.
Pretty easy, yes? ;)
What are you waiting for?!
Can love save them?
After her father commits a crime that shatters her family, eighteen-year-old Delaney Cross is tired of pretending everything is all right. Packing up her car, she sets out to find the people her father hurt. Her search leads her to places she’s never been—and into the arms of Adrian Westfall.
To the outside world, Adrian is a sexy, charming ladies’ man. But his playboy persona is just an act. Secretly his soul is tortured by a memory too painful to share. Only Delaney seems to see through his façade to the real man underneath. And for the first time in his life, Adrian feels he can begin to open up about his past.
Together, Adrian and Delaney share a passionate love they never expected to find. Yet both still harbor their own secrets. When the dark truth is finally revealed, will it bring them closer together—or tear them apart forever?

TWO big pieces of exciting news!
I took a few days before announcing this on my blog because I kept waiting to get an email saying, "Oh, sorry, there's been a mistake." But now I feel confident in sharing this with everyone.
My next book, MADE OF STARS, which is slated for an October 2013 release, has been selected by the Junior Library Guild! This is a HUGE thing for me. This means the opportunity to get my book in a TON of libraries, which in turn means a lot of exposure. They only select a limited number of children's and YA books every year, so to be among those chosen is a huge honor.
The second bit of information is that German rights for MADE OF STARS have been sold to Random House Germany. WOAH. I fell all over myself when I got that email! And, me being a dork, my first thought was, "Do I get a copy of my book in German?"
This was a great week for good news, I'd say. ;) On top of that, my second round of edits are finally done, and I graduate school on Thursday. Meaning I have a whole month until my State Board exam, during which I'm hoping to finish a book I'm working on, as well as getting started on a new one. I want to make use of my time. ... Doing something other than playing Animal Crossing, that is. Ahem.
Hope everyone is enjoying the summer!

All the things I do...
Finish reading Mira Grant's FEED trilogy? Check.
Get six weeks into school, which means four weeks left? Check.
Dive into round two of MADE OF STARS edits? Check.
Spazz out at the fact that a friend at school has never seen nor read THE LAST UNICORN?? Check.
Get my shiny copy of the PS3 port of Resident Evil: Revelations? Check.
Sob because Once Upon a Time season 2 has ended and it's months until season 3 begins? Check.
Get pretty MoS bookmarks? Check.
Order freebie, temporary business cards to be used when I graduate school? Check.
Manage not to have any breakdowns despite being unmedicated at the moment? Check.
All in all, I've been remarkably productive. I've squeezed in bits of writing here and there, and it isn't so much a lack of time as it is that I'm out of meds, unable to get more at the moment, and therefore my energy and motivation level is -10. I get home from school and I'm so burnt out from smiling and dealing with clients all day that all I want to do is curl up with Wife, read, and play video games until I pass out at 9pm.
But such is life. School will be done in four weeks, at which point...I'll have a chunk of free time while waiting for my state board exam before I can actually begin working. Here's hoping I'll have it in me to get DIRTY LONDON finished, and maybe delve deeper into one of the other projects I have going.
In the meantime... Does anyone want some MADE OF STARS bookmarks? ;)

Gretchen and her twin brother, Hank, were abandoned to a zombie horde when they were five years old. Intended to be a sacrifice by their zealot parents, they were instead rescued by The Company. Raised to become soldiers in the war against zombies, they now provide safe passage through danger zones, one contract at a time.
Clint's only skill is war, but he's weary of killing other men. When his contract with the Marines runs out, he takes a job on Gretchen's team, hoping that the search-and-rescue life will suit him better.
On Clint's second day, their four-man team is attacked, drugged, and taken to a prison full of frightened civilians. The only way in or out is by helicopter and, here, their enemies are human. One by one, the captives are culled from the holding area. Rumors say the facility director uses the prisoners as experimental subjects for the testing of a zombie cure.
When Hank is taken, Clint and Gretchen must put aside their personal feelings and find a way out of the prison, surrounded by thousands of starving zombies, before Hank becomes just one more disposable guinea pig in the hands of a twisted mad woman.
