Release Day Blast: CARESS OF PLEASURE by @JulieKenner #erotic #PNR @1001DarkNights
About CARESS OF PLEASURE
by Julie Kenner
I’d thought that he was mine, the dark, arresting man who commanded not only my body but my heart. Dante had swept into my life, and I’d succumbed to the burn of passion in his arms.
I’d believed we had a love that would last forever, but he’d shattered my dreams and broken me into pieces when he’d walked away, taking a piece of my soul with him.
Now he has come back seeking my help, and though I try to keep my distance and protect my heart, I cannot deny that the fire between us burns hotter than ever. And I cannot help but fear that this time our passion will reduce us both to ashes.
I fell in love with him once—and I’m honestly not sure that I ever fell out of love.
But I do know one thing for sure—Dante Storm is dangerous to my heart. And whatever we started just now is something that we can’t finish.
I meet his eyes and am about to say just that when he shakes his head. “No. Don’t say it. You don’t need to say it.”
“What?”
“That we can’t do it again.”
“We can’t.”
“I know.”
I stand in silence. I know why I can’t; it’s because he will break my heart.
But I don’t know why he doesn’t want me. I only know that he doesn’t. I only know that he walked away once, and that he has already told me he will walk away again.
That should be enough, but then I have to go and open my mouth. I have to ask— “Why? Why did you leave?”
For a minute, I don’t think that he’s going to answer. But he surprises me by saying, “Because I was looking at forever.”
“And you don’t think I was, too?” I’m baffled. With Dante, forever was my mantra.
He looks at me, his eyes so sad I want to cry. “No,” he says, “I know you weren’t.”
I start to protest, but he just shakes his head, like a dog shaking off water. “Let’s go transfer your money.”
“No,” I say, standing firm.
He cocks his head, then winces. “We shouldn’t have done this. It won’t happen again. But please don’t back out. I really need your help. I can’t tell you how urgent this is.”
“I’ll help,” I say. “But I don’t want your money. And I don’t want sex.” That’s not entirely true. I want it; I don’t think I can handle it.
“Then why?”
“I don’t know,” I say. “Maybe because I loved you once upon a time.”
Maybe because I still do.

#SFRMonday ~ Shifters & Aliens in a SEXY twofer from author @AllieRitch #scifirom #99cents
For this week’s SFRMonday, I’m featuring two stories by Allie Ritch in One Volume: Breeding Season and Alien Sex Therapy
Looking for a new SFR series to follow? Get a taste of Allie Ritch’s Children of Nanook SFR/shifter series and her hot Alien Sex Ed series by reading two short stories set in the same worlds. Both stories are in one volume for only 99 cents on Amazon.
BREEDING SEASON: For the Children of Nanook—shifters who can take the form of the deadly frost bear—passions run high during breeding season. Desna has already chosen the mate of her heart, but can Karpok defeat the male who wants to take her from him?
ALIEN SEX THERAPY: Cedecians morph from male to female and back again. That makes their race truly bisexual, but Cai has never made love as a woman. Maybe a hot new relationship with Maddox, the four-armed Brachoi in the apartment across from her, is the perfect sex therapy.
AVAILABLE FROM: Amazon
Excerpt from “Alien Sex Therapy” (adult content):
He was having dinner at Maddox’s place tonight, and he needed to get changed in more ways than one. After a quick shower, Cai stood in front of the bathroom mirror. He was average height for his race and built lean, but he had good muscles. His chest and abdomen were hairless, making his dark thatch of pubic hair stand out more prominently. Although he had heard that some of the other races had bigger cocks, his shaft was well proportioned to his body and rose nice and straight when he was aroused. Right now, his penis hung mostly limp, though all it would take was a fantasy about Maddox to get him hard.
As Cai stared at himself naked in the mirror, he felt his hormones shift and watched his body change. Though his eyes and hair remained the same, he saw his face grow softer and more feminine. His narrow hips took on an extra curve that set off his waistline, and his nipples pushed out from his ribcage as firm breasts took shape beneath them. The most miraculous alteration occurred between his legs. What made him distinctly male shrank and morphed into labia and a clit, completing his transformation into a woman.
Cai’s closet was filled with both men’s and women’s clothing. Usually she liked to wear pants and shirts, the same as she did in her male body, but tonight she made an exception. She pulled on the dress she had bought last month with Maddox in mind. It was form-fitting and dyed a deep wine color, and it was held up by a single strap decorated with faux diamothysts. She felt very sensual in the dress. It made her aware of her own sex appeal, which was strangely empowering.
After slipping on a pair of strappy shoes, she left her apartment and crossed the hall. Maddox’s door was ajar, so she let herself in and shut it quietly behind her. He was busy in the kitchen and had his back to her, which gave her a great view of his jean-clad backside and impressively broad shoulders. The sleeves of his gray dress shirt were pushed up to his elbows, exposing the light dusting of hair on his two sets of forearms. She wondered if he shopped at a Brachoi store or had to have his shirts custom tailored for him.
Cai cleared her throat. “It smells good in here. What are you cooking?”
Maddox turned with a bright smile that nearly stopped her heart. Then his carmine eyes heated, and she felt a flush travel over her skin where his gaze swept over her. If she had any doubt about his attraction to her, the deepening crimson of his cherry skin would have set her straight. Even physically, the Brachoi weren’t understated with their passion.
“I’m making spicy stir fry,” he told her. “I was in the mood for something hot.”
Maddox had a short apron tied around his waist. He wiped his hands on it before he walked over to greet her.
“It looks like I got my wish. You certainly look scorching in that dress.”
“Thank you.” A wave of pleasure washed through Cai, but it came with a bad case of jitters.
He must have noticed her hesitation, because he only planted a gentle kiss on her lips—tender and undemanding—before he returned to the kitchen.
“Have a seat,” he said. “There’s wine on the table, and dinner will be ready soon.”
“Where did you learn to cook?” Cai sat in the small dining area off the kitchen and poured some wine as she watched him.
He added some meat and mixed vegetables together. Still stirring with one hand, he used another to hold up a small packet.
“Ti Sala Spices,” he said. “The recipe is on the back of the package. I don’t claim to be a chef, but I’m smart enough to follow directions.”
“That’s more cooking than I usually do. I’m sure it will be wonderful.”
He smiled and continued to work. A few minutes later, he had everything done and carried two plates to the table. She blamed the steam for her warm cheeks, but it was really his nearness that affected her. When she took her first bite, she felt the heat spread down her throat and through her belly.
“Too much spice?” he asked.
Cai shook her head. “I can handle it.”
“I’m sure you can.” His lips curled up in a smile as he sipped his wine.

Abducted by TWO Sexy Aliens in SATIN SHEETS IN SPACE #MySexySaturday #1NightStand @DecadentPub
Hi peeps! It’s the week 89 of My Sexy Saturday. I missed last Saturday, as I was attending the awesome Romancing the Capital conference. It was the first of hopefully many hosted by the wonderful Eve Langlais. I had a blast meeting all the readers and authors there. And good news! Eve decided to host another in 2016. You can find more information on the site: http://orc.evelanglais.com/
Here are the details for My Sexy Saturday: every Saturday, published and unpublished authors will be sharing 7 words, sentences, or paragraphs from a work-in-progress or an already published story.
Today’s theme is…
SEXY ME TWICE
I decided to do my own interpretation of the theme, so here’s seven from
SATIN SHEETS IN SPACE.
Set-up: I don’t normally write alien abduction stories, and this didn’t really start out as one, but when Danyka agrees to leave the ball with her date, she winds up in his spaceship. And then she meets his just-as-sexy brother…
At their request, Danyka stood beside the bed, and waited for one of the brothers to move. They stared for what seemed like hours, when in reality, seconds had passed. Finally, Volan slid off the bed and approached her from behind. She dared not move for fear she’d wake up and learn this had all been a dream. As his warm breath tickled her skin, he reached around and slid his hands inside her corset. He cupped her breasts, lifting them out of the restricting material. Kissing her neck, he worked magic across her bare flesh with his hands.
Galan drew closer, peeling off her pasties before he leaned down and sucked on her nipple. She gasped, overwhelmed by her longing, the heat invading her body.
Enhancing each sensation, Volan rubbed her other pebbled peak between his fingers. “Do you want to leave us?”
She whimpered. “No, but please don’t hurt me.” Her only fear of being with these aliens and two men at the same time.
Galan gazed up at her, unhooking her corset. “We could never bring you any harm. You’re our sodalis, should you decide to stay.”
His brother unzipped her skirt, letting it pool at her feet. “No, we’ll never hurt you, our sodalis.”
She didn’t care what sodalis meant, for these two worshiped her body, their hands and mouths exploring every inch. A nip here, a squeeze there, sent her closer to release. By the time they’d laid her on the bed, they’d stripped her of all her clothing. Volan stretched his naked body beside her, his large cock jutting into her hip, and stroked her breasts. At the edge of the bed, Galan finished removing his garments. He crawled behind her, pressing his body, his ample erection against her bare ass.
~ About SATIN SHEETS IN SPACE ~
Danyka’s unusual height and radiant red hair earn her the cold shoulder from any guy she approaches, unless he wants to experiment with a giant. So when her boss sets up on a one night stand, she hopes for a prince but expects the usual toad.
As a captivating stranger whisks her away from the ball and introduces her to his equally gorgeous brother, she fears her fantasies have become a nightmare. Has she finally given into impulse only to become a lab rat in an unknown world?

Romancing the Capital 2015 ~ Recap and Pictures #RTCOttawa
Hello everyone! Have you ever been to a romance reader conference? I attended my first this past weekend. Romancing the Capital was held in Kanata (a suburb of Ottawa) and hosted and sponsored by the fabulous Eve Langlais. Approximately fifty authors and two hundred readers attended, with even more arriving for the book signing on Saturday.
After the drive there with the amazing Deborah Cooke and checking in, I rode the elevator to meet my wonderful roommate for the conference, Kacey Hammell, who later introduced me to the awesome Kali Willows. Immediately after, I took the elevator to the top floor to help stuff reader bags for registration the next day. A late author dinner finished off the evening, where I met many others I’d known only online, but never met in person.
Friday was the first official day of the conference, with workshops, intimate author chats, and author fun events starting at 9 AM. But first, I got to meet my long-time critique partner, Layna Pimentel, for the first time, as well as my editors, Kate Richards and Valerie Mann. I was a part of the Decadent Snack Time that day, where I joined up with my fellow Decadent Publishing peeps to meet readers and aspiring authors. Then we had a break before the Mad Hatter Dinner and Party.
Saturday started early, too. I was a part of the Speed Date An Author event, where we talked about our stories and other books with a long line of readers. It was a huge success, thanks to all of Kali Willows hard work in planning it. The book signing, which followed lunch was fabulous. Readers flocked into the Kanata Ballroom, with most stopping by their favorite authors first before making their way around the room to visit everyone else. Simply amazing! Many of the readers who I’d chatted with at the event before, visited me again at the signing. And the evening finished off with another fabulous dinner.
For a first time event, Romancing the Capital was simply fantastic! I loved meeting authors and readers alike. A great experience for me, who sits in my office at home to work. It’s great to throw the computer away and talk to everyone face-to-face. Well, I didn’t throw the computer away, but it stayed home for the event.
We left early Sunday morning, but even filling up with gas, we were still chatting with readers. It was the best event as an author that I’ve ever been to. And I can’t wait to do it again next year. I’ve already signed up with some of my friends as a sponsor. If you didn’t make it this year, I hope to see you in 2016! http://orc.evelanglais.com/

#SFRMonday Struggling to thrive in male dominated world ~ THE BREEDER TRILOGY by @CaraBristol #scifirom
I’m pleased to spotlight the Breeder trilogy by Cara Bristol for #SFRMonday.
THE BREEDER TRILOGY
by Cara Bristol
Breeder is a science fiction romance trilogy by Cara Bristol is about women struggling to thrive in male dominated world. The three novels are Breeder, Terran, and Warrior.
Breeder blurb
To secure his legacy, Commander Dak, a ruling Alpha of planet Parseon, purchases Omra, a breeder slave. He intends to impregnate her, produce a son, and hand her off to his anointed beta partner. As Dak and Omra discover a sexual bliss banned by law, he begins to question the traditions and ways of his people, causing him to jeopardize his command and endanger the life of the woman he has come to love.
If not for the sneeze, Dak would have exited the musty, dank corridor. But the muffled sound caught his attention. When he squinted into the darkened cell, he spotted a female crouched on a straw mat in the corner. He hadn’t noticed her on his way into the Breeder Containment Facility; the habitation unit had appeared empty.
Dak turned to the BCF director and sighed. “What about her?”
The beta’s already crooked mouth drooped farther in distaste. “My apologies, Commander. You don’t want that one.”
Sival’s disparagement piqued Dak’s interest. The director’s opinion had proven worthless; none of the breeders he’d preselected for inspection had rated close to satisfactory.
“I would like to see her,” Dak insisted.
“Very well, Commander.” Sival saluted and opened the habitation cell with a master entry card. Dak stepped into the small enclosure. The director followed, and the metal gate clanked shut.
The naked female drew into a tighter ball and tucked her face deeper into the crook of her arm. Other breeders had preened as soon as they’d noticed him and his chest-insignia identification. He wasn’t just an alpha. He was the Alpha.
This breeder’s lack of respect and failure to adhere to Protocol by acknowledging his presence struck him as odd. Dak frowned. “Is she mentally deficient?”
Sival tightened his lips. “No, stubborn, ill behaved. She would not befit an Alpha Commander.” He nudged the female’s hip with the toe of his boot. “Rise to your feet.” She did not respond, and he moved to prod her again. Dak forestalled him with a wave and grasped the female’s arm.
“You will stand.” He hauled her upright. She averted her face, so he grabbed her chin and forced her to look at him. Tangled hair the color of black heating stones fell back from an oval face to reveal eyes like the Parseon moon. The glimmer of intelligence that sparked within the violet depths aroused his interest more than anything else he’d seen so far. Nature had bestowed the Parseon people with an exceptionally strong immune system so that they rarely required medical intervention, but breeders by nature were weak, and so many of the ones he’d seen had seemed dull or ill or both. This one’s skin, when unsmudged by grime and dirt, probably glowed like the pale sands of the Ospian Sea. He supposed, as breeders went, she wasn’t unattractive, although the stench emanating from her was. His beta would throw a fit if he dragged such a creature into their domicile.
“Why is she so filthy?” he asked.
“She refuses to bathe.”
As Dak scrutinized her facial features for shape and symmetry, he noted little imperfection or dysgenics other than her lack of hygiene and her gender. When cleaned up, she would please the eye, but to bear his sons, it mattered more that she be healthy and strong.
He released her face, stepped back, and assessed her from head to toe. He exceeded the height of most males, alphas included, while she stood smaller than the average female. The top of her head failed to even meet his shoulder. She was thinner than other breeders too, although her chest bore an abundance of fatty breast tissue. In the chill of the cell, her nipples had puckered to hard points. Despite the coolness, he was experiencing a rise in temperature. A dormant lust chose that moment to kindle, causing heat to coil in his abdomen and groin. He could not remember the last time he’d experienced such a spontaneous reaction—if he ever had. With the pads of his fingers, he probed the sides of her neck for swollen areas. The way she trembled under his touch aroused a sliver of sympathy. Breeders lacked courage, and uncertainty frightened them. Not all alphas and their betas treated breeders well. If he chose her, she would be adequately fed and housed. His command consumed his time and energy, which left his beta alone for long stretches. A breeder would relieve Corren of household chores and provide him with a physical outlet as well.
“What is she called?” Dak asked.
“Her sire named her Omra.”
Peace, it meant.
He parted Omra’s lips with his fingers and slipped a digit into her mouth, running it along her upper gum line to check the solidness of her teeth. At a flash in her eyes, he jerked his hand away a centisecond before she snapped her jaws together, so that her incisor only grazed the tip of his finger.
Sival’s face reddened. “Commander, I apologize. I will have her flogged.”
“Unnecessary. I will take care of it.” He unclipped the sudon from his belt.
After fleeing loneliness and heartache on Terra, Tara Diehl has adjusted to male-dominated Parseon better than most vendors–until she is kidnapped by Alpha Marlix, one of the five rulers of the planet. At first she’s terrified of her tall, muscled abductor, especially when he doesn’t hesitate to quell her struggle for freedom with a little corporal discipline. After all her methods and ploys to escape fail, she decides to seduce her way to freedom.
But out of seduction and subterfuge grow a true intimacy that cause Marlix and Tara to take action that drives Parseon to the brink of civil war, and threatens not only their relationship, but also their lives.
Terran, the second book in the Breeder sci-fi series, is a “capture” romance involving a domineering but hunky alien, and a female with a bad dye job and an even worse attitude.
A female fighting for freedom. A male armed with determination. Can they save their people?
As a despotic Qalin marches through Parseon intent on conquering every province, Commander Marlix pledges his sister to another Alpha to protect her. Desperate to decide her own fate, Anika flees and finds refuge with the guerilla resistance movement against Qalin. Marlix’s aide Urazi hunts her down to bring her home to fulfill her duty. But when love blossoms between them, and provinces fall to Qalin, Anika and Urazi realize home has ceased to exist, and they are all that stand between the people of Parseon and the end of the world.
Cara Bristol continues to evolve, adding new subgenres of erotic romance to her repertoire. She has written spanking romance, contemporary romance, paranormal, and science fiction romance. No matter what the genre, one thing remains constant: her emphasis on character-driven seriously hot erotic stories with sizzling chemistry between the hero and heroine. Cara has lived many places in the United States, but currently lives in Missouri with her husband. She has two grown stepkids. When she’s not writing, she enjoys reading and traveling.

Recruiter for the Space Service ~ #TeaserTuesday from SUDDEN BREAKAWAY #1NightStand #99cents #sfrgtt
Hello everyone! I’m excited to share my fourth Teaser Tuesday post, this time from SUDDEN BREAKAWAY.
The Sci-Fi Romance Group is a Facebook group filled with authors and readers who enjoy science fiction romance. There is a limited amount of promo allowed in the group, but it is a place to discuss the genre in books, movies, television formats, and more. You can find it here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/the.scifi.romance.group/
Set-up: While this title is more contemporary than most of my stories, it does have a sci-fi aspect to it. This excerpt reveals that…
Ms. Brown. Everyone knew her by that name, or at least those she tried to recruit for the Space Service did. For once, though, she wanted to be someone else, maybe herself. If she could shed the black designer suit and lose the title, she could simply be Paige.
The moment she’d signed the contract with the top-secret organization, she’d left Paige and the life she knew behind. Living in the shadows had been easy with her husband by her side, until agents destroyed the portal to the space station to keep terrorists from getting their hands on alien technology. Her husband—her only link to her old life—remained trapped there until the powers-that-be deemed it safe to repair the link.
She regretted agreeing to his traveling there for training while she remained on Earth, anxious about his welfare and resentful of the separation.
She continued to recruit for the Space Service, her work all she had to distract her from thinking of her faraway husband and empty bed. It wasn’t until the divorce papers had been forwarded to her communicator, from space, that she’d regretted signing the lifetime contract. Her husband hadn’t waited for her, choosing to bed some extraterrestrial bitch light years away.
She scanned her thumb across the ignition of her luxury sedan—only the best for members of the Space Service. None of it mattered anymore. She’d lost her enthusiasm for fostering relationships between Earth and the many worlds in the universe sustaining intelligent life. No, she wanted to stay on her home planet and find the love and happiness she’d thought she once had with her ex-husband.
She smirked, considering the possibility of her dream if she didn’t find any new recruits soon. The Space Service would revoke her contract. Her last three prospects had turned down her offer of an “out of this world” work environment, not once, but repeatedly. Why hadn’t she found the same strength, all those years ago to turn down the man in black who’d visited her and her husband? Though if she didn’t recruit, what would she do for a living?
~ About SUDDEN BREAKAWAY ~
Dressed in her black designer suit, Paige Brown recruits men and women for the Space Service. After the end of her marriage, and several failed recruiting missions, she yearns to find a way out of her lifelong contract to live a normal life. To find love again.
Jared Barnes’s life had been flipped upside down by two little kids. When his former Commander’s wife shows up to give him a reprieve, he jumps at the chance for a break, and to visit his former squad. But it is not his buddies he meets in the private suite at a hockey game, instead a woman who has been the star of all of his recent fantasies, fulfills his wildest dreams except the one that binds his heart.
Has Madame Eve made a mistake or can two lonely hearts overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles?
Only 99¢ USD for the month of April from:
