My Other Marriage By Katie GrayKowski
My Other Marriage
Warning: this blog was supposed to be about the difference in editing styles, so I sent 5 editors the same paragraph to edit, but guess what … wait for it … they all found the same things. This is why you should always have a prospective new editor edit your first chapter or first three chapters to see if their editing style works with your writing style. Learn from me people. Do as I say and not as I do.

MAKE IT GOLDEN CONTEST WINNERS ANNOUNCED!!
Well, that was another hard-fought contest!! Once again, the judges struggled to choose their winners, and every entry had many strong supporters. Fabulous job, finalists!! Taglines, part two
Last month at Wordsmith Wednesday – Taglines and Blurbs, we worked on our 30 word tagline. Today, we’re going to work on cutting that in half. Brutal, you say? Perhaps, but next month for this Wordsmith Wednesday we’ll talk about another possible use for it. And after that, you can thank me for the misery I’m putting you through.

RULES? WE DON’T NEED NO STINKIN’ RULES !!
I am certain by now everyone has seen the Facebook meme about eating chocolate cake for breakfast.
Growing up there were all sorts of rules about what you could wear, what you could eat when, what time you went to bed. You name it, there were rules about it. And when you are growing up, rules are probably a good thing. I know for a fact had I been allowed to do as I please growing up the results would have been disastrous at best and felonious at worst. (Assuming it was a felony to tie you...

Brainstorming the Gates
Writing a novel can be a lonely pursuit. When it comes right down to it unless you’re part of a collaboration, the actual writing of the book is something you have to do utterly alone.

As the annual host of the Ruby Slippered Sisterhood’s brainstorming sessions during the Wi...
