Review: Wither by Lauren DeStefano

GOODREADS BLURB:

To prevent extinction, young girls are kidnapped, mated in polygamous marriages with men eager to procreate. Sixteen-year-old Rhine Ellery, a recent victim of this breeding farm mentality, has vowed to break loose from its fetters; but finding allies and a safe way out is a challenge she can only hope she will survive. A...

When I'm Not Reading (#1): A Tale of Many Reviews

Hey all, and welcome to my first installment of When I'm Not Reading. I want to start off by saying there are loads and loads of awesomesauce bloggers out there who take so much time to read and review we author's books. They work hard to promote us and to shed light on those books that might otherwise not be seen. That should be commended! With that being said, that's why I'm starting to post these. I'm hoping each Sunday to promote another blogger. Come along for the ride!

Review: The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin

GOODREADS BLURB:

Mara Dyer doesn't think life can get any stranger than waking up in a hospital with no memory of how she got there.

It can.

She believes there must be more to the accident she can't remember that killed her friends and left her mysteriously unharmed.

There is.

She doesn't believe that after everything she's been through, she can fall in love.

She's wrong.

REVIEW:

Wow, I'm so torn! On one hand, I absolutely loved this book. on the other, I had some beefs. Here they a...

Writing Killed My Reading.

Growing up, I devoured books. Seriously. There wasn't a book in sight that I wouldn't read, so long as it had a fantastical twist to it.

My first favorite series was The Animorphs Series by K.A. Applegate. I'd dream of meeting an alien race who gave me the opportunity to turn into whatever awesomesauce living thing I could touch. It was way too much fun.

Then there were Goosebumps. Oh man, those would scare the bejeezus out of me. I remember many nights where I laid under my covers, wonderi...

New Year's Resolutions

Well, today is the last day of the year! Crazy, huh? I can't believe the year is already over, personally. It's been a year of great firsts for me, the most important one being the birth of my son (aka Little Man).

Not a week after his birth, my debut novel, BRIDGER, came to my door in paperback. Talk about a week to remember. :)

Then in November, my second YA novel, FORBIDDEN, was released. Crazy. Now I'm close to finishing the sequel to BRIDGER (which is TRAITOR), and a new idea for a boo...
