Tidbury Green

WOW! What a phenomenal day!!! I set off in the dark this morning, to ensure I arrived at Tidbury Green in Solihull for my visit with time to spare. From the second I arrived, I sensed a real buzz of excitement in the air.

Great Oldbury Primary

I’m so glad the snow didn’t interfere with my plans for today, as my visit to Great Oldbury Primary Academy was an absolute treat. This school is only a few years old and is beautifully designed, with an emphasis on light and space.

Gretton Primary

I didn’t have to leave the house until quite a bit later than usual today, as my school visit didn’t start until 10.45 a.m. Gretton Primary is only a small school, with fewer than 100 pupils in total.

Castle Hill Primary

My final school visit this week was to Castle Hill Primary, where the staff and pupils were all dressed for Children in Need. And what a Castle Hill welcome I received!

Tewkesbury Primary

What an exciting day I’ve just had at Tewkesbury Primary! At the end of today’s visit, it was an absolute honour and a privilege to officially re-open their library.

Sharpness Primary

Sharpness Primary is only a small school — with just over 100 pupils in total — but the children and staff there have huge hearts, and welcomed me into their cosy community with open arms during today’s visit.

St Matthew’s Primary

I kicked this week’s school visits off with a day at St Matthew’s Primary School in Stroud. Which — it has to be said — is so utterly marvellous that I didn’t ever want to leave!

Ask B Anything!

I love having questions fired at me during my school visits. The majority of them tend to be focused on my book… and what it’s like to be (or why I became) an author. But there are two questions that pop up over and over again.

Rosary Catholic Primary

With 44 school visits now under my belt, today’s visit to Rosary Catholic Primary was the perfect way to end the week! Their lovely welcome mosaic is displayed in this image, and I felt so welcome.
