Please read and follow my niece’s blog
I lost my sister 2.5 years ago to fate that no one would wish on anyone- it is so hard to digest that anyone would take their own life. I have had my own emotional ups and downs in my life and have gone down that dark rabbit hole too many times myself. But experiencing the kind of pain of being left behind causes a person to really go through so much turmoil and rejection. The question of “why?” is always there. And in our case, there will always be a question of, “was it really suicide?” Click below to read my niece’s heart-moving words.

Fantasy
I am the girl with the almond shaped eyes,
Hue often as blue as the fairest of skies,
Deeper at other times than the most unfathomable seas,
Dreaming of Neverland, on the way to Middle Earth,
Endless castles, moats, lands of Faeries,
of Tir Na Nog, Eyre & Avalon, of Hope, Distant Star.
In my heart, No matter near or far,
Love & a little pixie dust.
Thinking of all of you this Christmas. Much Love & Aloha. May God’s Blessings Rain Down Upon You.

Friend
I miss having you as my friend,
But if I told you all of my secrets,
How soon would that end?
My heart aches not for your love,
Or The Way We Were,
But something intangible, sad, untouchable…
Not your kiss, touch or caress.
Just something simple. Unconditional. Acceptance.
This…

Merry Christmas!
I miss the smell of Christmas in Winter, the hint of burgamot and other heavenly spices twining through the air, evergreen and apple cinnamon candles burning bright. Outside, a full moon shines down upon a beautiful snow-laden ground, ice reflecting like dancing crystal fairies. Inside, we are toasty warm beside each other, smiles light. Of velvet and pumpkin spices, everywhere reds, whites and greens, people singing holy Christmas carols, young faces all acheer with delight, for Christmas is here! Presents tied with smart little bows, even the little dog knows, his gift is here.

Magnificent Delight
This is a little daring and different than my usual poems, but I am exploring some new techniques and material. I hope you like it.
I absorb the burgeoning atmosphere that surrounds a surrealistic mango-hued sky,
How am I here, How am I?
The birds, they can take to the air and flutter about,
like winged fairies, darting, swooping here and there,
Caressing the air, until they flee danger, hearing a shout.
Yet I cannot fly, I stifle a gasp.
For a fiend has slinked and slithered in from the umbra,
His magnificent, eternal eyes foretold of his evil agenda.
I close down, wearing a mask, defenseless.
The forest, teeming with creatures all around, speaks in beastly whispers.
The ritual begins, the sun a golden pearl cradled under the sea.
She lies, ignorant in unknown ecstasy,
As the horned beast closes in, antlers high,
He has conquered, her innocence dies.
Then forbidden, now desired. Dominance. She now indulges in His eminence, the imminence of danger a delight

Out of the Sun
I have lived for 1400 years
Healed many with my tears
Survived trial by fire
Even your ire
I dont live a life of hate, I love unconditionally
My love is eternal, out of the ashes I rise
I do not die.

Don’t Ever Wanna Miss You
Still can hardly endeavor to believe
You’re right here beside me
Smilin and holding me close
I wanna fold you into forever
Dreamt of you through my tears
All those years
Something about you
Heals what’s broken in me
No longer standing still
I love and I feel
You and me, we are real
Don’t ever wanna miss you…

Stay
Unspoken words hang still in the air
The breath catches in my throat
Life, it seems, is never fair
Like a silent movie, it plays out til the bitter end
Regardless of dreams, wishes and cares
Emotions broil near the surface
Time… running into turmoil
Why is life such a complicated mess?
Can’t we just hold each other into the night?
I just love you and Love is worth the fight
I want you to stay and never take flight
Love me, my soul, all in due time
We are worth the climb.

The Drums – Down by the Water
I was reading a gal’s blog and she recommended this band, The Drums, an Indie Pop band from Brooklyn, N.Y., so I decided to check them out (also check out Phoenix, French alternative rock band, pretty cool stuff). I was listening it with my boyfriend (decided to call him this because he calls me his ‘girl’ and calling him my ‘boy’ would sound weird, ‘man’ would be too possessive and so for lack of a more mature term, boyfriend it is…) and thought that their ballad, Down by the Water, was just awesome.
Here it is:
