Great YA Series ---New Covers!!!
This is one of my favorite YA series and I love Nichole's new covers!!!
Mortal Obligation:
Ree will face the darkest form of betrayal before the year is out.
Seventeen year old Ree McKenna has three goals: get through high school, convince her crush she is more than his best friend’s little sister, and save money for college. Fate, though, has other plans for her. After the untimely death of her older brother, Ree is haunted by dreadful nightmares and terrifying visions. To make matters worse, Ree has started to suspect that something dangerous is stalking her from the shadows.
A night full of frightening surprises leaves Ree with unsettling news. Gifted by the gods with unusual powers, she must devote herself to a battle that could very well lead to not only her death, but the demise of everyone she knows and loves. After all, Ree is the only mortal standing between the Earth and utter darkness.
Mortal Defiance:
One short week turned Ree McKenna’s life upside down. Not only does she have the weight of the world on her shoulders, but she still has to juggle homework, a job, and a curfew. While Ree tries to find her footing amidst the chaos, the Dark Ones and their champion are busy hunting down any humans that have a touch of the gods running through their veins. Allies have turned into foes, and enemies have become stronger.
The world is growing darker, but the passion between Ree and two irresistible guys blazes hotter. Romantic ties from a past life will threaten to break Ree away from the love of her life and will cloud her judgment. In order to follow her heart, Ree will break rules put in place by the gods, risking her life and the lives of her friends in an act of Mortal Defiance.

About the Book:
18 year old Tessa Copeland barely survived the worst year of her life—in fact, it was a miracle. After making it through the tragedy that killed both of her parents, she’s left to pick up the pieces of her life. Combating the holes in her memory and the concern of her friends was hard enough, but a new talent threatens to destroy everything she’s trying to reclaim.
David Allegri didn’t mean to ruin Tessa’s life. She was the brightest soul he’d seen in centuries and he couldn’t let her die, so the fallen angel used his abilities to heal her—only he took it too far and changed Tessa forever. Now, he has to figure out a way to explain what’s happening to Tessa and somehow protect both of them from the consequences.
His choice made them targets for the Hunters, who will use any means necessary to capture their prey. Only a desperate plan can help them escape, and sacrifices will be made. Time is ticking. Will they make it, or will they be lost to the echoes of fate?
Price:
$2.99 for ebook
$11.99 for Paperbacks. (Autographed copies available at www.sarahmross.com)
About the Author:
I started my obsession with reading at an early age, getting in trouble for sneaking BabySitter Club and Nancy Drew books into math class in elementary school. I would read any fiction book I could get my hands on. I knew it was an addiction when instead of grounding me from TV or music, my mom would take away my books as punishment (The Horror!). My love of all things paranormal was inspired by my good friend Laurie, who convinced me that books with vampires, witches, and all things shifter were amazing. After a little reluctance, I gave it a shot with the Sookie Stackhouse books, realized she was right, and the rest was history.
I grew up in Pittsburgh, graduated from The University of Pittsburgh with my degree in English, and taught 8th graders to love reading as much as I do for several years. I will always be a proud member of the Steelers Nation, but I couldn't take the cold and moved my frozen tush to Florida where I now live with my family and two cats. You will find me now with my trusty Kindle in hand and toes in the sand!
When I'm not writing or reading, I am probably partaking in my favorite vice: sunbathing. I know it's wrong, but I love the feeling on the hot sun on my skin and could lay in it for hours. I do live in Florida for a reason!

Hollywood Stories: Short, Entertaining Anecdotes Abou...
Hollywood Stories: Short, Entertaining Anecdotes About the Stars and Legends of the Movies!
By Stephen SchochetGenre: Film/History/Humour
Synopsis: At high noon on a cold November day in 1974, sixty-seven-year-old John Wayne faced off with the staff of the Harvard Lampoon on the famous campus in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The students had issued their challenge by calling the beloved American icon a fraud. Wayne, who had his new movie McQ to promote, responded by saying he would be happy to show his film in the pseudo-intellectual swamps of Harvard Square. After the screening, without writers, the former USC footballer delivered a classic performance. When one smart young man asked where he got his phony toupee, Wayne insisted the hair was real. It wasn't his, but it was real. The appreciative underclassmen loved him and after the Q and A session, they all sat down to dinner. Later Wayne, who was suffering greatly from both gout and the after effects of lung cancer (sadly the Duke only had five years to live), said that day at Harvard was the best time he ever had.
Just when you thought you've heard everything about Hollywood comes a totally original new book -- a special blend of biography, history and lore.
Hollywood Stories is packed with wild, wonderful short tales about famous stars, movies, directors and many others who have been a part of the world's most fascinating, unpredictable industry!
What makes the book unique is that the reader can go to any page and find a completely engaging and illuminating yarn. Sometimes people won't realize that they are reading about The Three Stooges or Popeye the Sailor until they come to the end of the story. The Midwest Book Review says Hollywood Stories is, "packed from cover to cover with fascinating tales."
Full of funny moments and twist endings, Hollywood Stories features an amazing, all-star cast of legendary characters and icons and will keep you totally entertained!

platform. At one point, the little man was carrying so many products he actually
started to float away, when Jackie raced to his rescue and pulled him back to

Bill Murray Made it in the Shower
When he joined the cast of TV’s Saturday Night Live in 1977, Bill Murray was
getting hate mail till an idea struck him in the shower. The twenty-seven-yearold
comic, who replaced the very popular Chevy Chase, had struggled to be
funny in his initial weeks on SNL. Sometimes the volatile Murray angered the
show’s writers by blowing his lines; the best material went to Bill’s more
established castmates. But now, holding onto a gag gift, a microphone-shaped
bar of soap, the former medical student Murray had an inspiration. In the
season finale, Bill shone as a pretend tacky morning disc jockey that showered
with his wife, played by co-star Gilda Radner, while he talked to an imaginary
audience. The laughs were enhanced when Murray introduced his spouse’s
supposedly secret lover, Buck Henry, as a surprise guest who joined the married
couple under the running water. The “Shower Mike” sketch was a huge hit with
viewers; from then on Bill’s fan letters reflected a 180-degree change of heart.
Detective Burns
George Burns and Gracie Allen worried that their careers interfered with
their parenting. One night the married comics arrived home late and were
distressed to find that all the pictures had been cut out of their dictionary. Burns
insisted that he handle it; he asked his boy Ronnie where his daughter Sandy
had put the scissors; the kid didn’t know. When George asked Sandy the same
question, she revealed her brother hid them in a drawer. Even Gracie was
impressed by George’s detective work, and the kind-hearted straight man was
so pleased that he doled out only a minor punishment to his son. For many
years afterward, George proudly related the tale about his clever sleuthing to
dinner guests until one night the now grown-up Sandy couldn’t take it anymore.
“Please don’t tell the scissors story tonight, Dad.”
“Why not, sweetheart?”
“Well, the reason I knew where they were is that I was the one who cut out
the pictures.”

Exile Bytes - Excerpt
It's been 7 months since I've worked on "Exile Bytes" the follow up book to "Spell Checked". Now that "Immortal Voyage" is done and ready for it's release June 15th, I'm reading over the chapter of Exile Bytes that I wrote before I abondon it to write Immortal Voyage. I'm so excited to start writing again, so I thought I would share an excerpt....
I haven't shared any of this with anyone yet, so I'm a bit nervous.
Exile Bytes
Aidan stood at the door and cocked his head at Beck’s disheveled appearance then snorted, “Are we interrupting?”
Beck pulled the towel tighter then tucked in the corner. “Aidan, I’m so glad to see you.” Beck smiled and embraced Aidan then craned his neck out the door and looked side to side. “Where is Meredith?” he asked before shutting the door.
Aidan followed Beck into the room and sat on the couch while Beck continued to stand. “She is in our room getting settled, something about the long plane ride and looking like a mess. A hot mess if you ask me. How are you and the wife doing?”
“As well as can be expected under the circumstances,” Beck sighed before Mae stepped out of the bedroom dressed in a white halter dress.
“Aidan! You’re here,” she beamed and threw her arms around his neck as soon as he stood up.
Aidan hugged her and kissed her cheek before pulling back to take a look at her. “Wow Mae, you have grown since I last saw you. Are you sure there aren’t three of them in there,” he teased.
“Bite your tongue Aidan.” Mae scowled.
“Well, if you two do not mind, I would like to get dressed, so we can go to breakfast,” Beck interrupted, leaving Aidan and Mae in the living room.
A few minutes into Aidan and Mae’s conversation there was a knock on the door. Mae opened the door to find Meredith, Alexis, and Charles. “Where is Aaron?” she questioned.
“Dr. Fancy Pants is still getting dressed. He will meet us downstairs for breakfast,” Alexis jeered.
Meredith hugged Mae. “I can’t wait for Council season to be over with so we can spend more time together. Aidan does nothing but sulk without Beck around to keep him occupied,” Meredith confessed.
“Well you are not missing much,” Mae said. “This is the first time the warden has allowed me to leave the facility since my incarceration,” Mae grumbled as she frowned.
Meredith laughed. “Oh my...You poor girl! However have you survived?”
“Chocolate! Lots of chocolate,” Mae mused, sitting down on one of the chairs in the living room then rested her hands on her growing belly.
“Well, I have something that will change that.” Meredith pulled what appeared to be a cigar box from her purse and opened it. Inside sat a metallic disk a little smaller than her hand with unusual etchings around the edge and a large blue, dome shaped stone in the middle.
Mae eyed the artifact. “What is it?”
“It’s called Anu’s shield but we refer to it as a speed trap,” Meredith replied, taking the device out of the box and handing it to Mae. “It’s one of the devices left by our ancestors. Acting like a force field, it has the ability to stop anything that comes within the shield area above a certain velocity. Objects such as this are sacred among us, but Calcifer felt your protection was worth more than whatever flack he might catch from the Council for letting you borrow it.”
“How does it work?” Mae handed the device back to Meredith.
“Calcifer showed me before he gave it to me. You just turn the stone in the center like so,” Meredith turned the center stone until the stone lit up from within. “It glows when it is on. It was made to go on a belt of some sort, but Calcifer and I came up with a way to hang it from a chain.”
“Even on a chain, it will be hard to hide. Then again, if my boobs get any bigger, I will be able to conceal an entire village.” Mae chuckled as Meredith placed the device around her neck.
“And I like them that way,” Beck yelled from the bedroom doorway.
“Who asked you?” Mae retorted as everyone laughed.
Beck joined them in the living room. “I have not seen one of these since the Romans attacked the Celts in Brittan.” He carefully inspected the device in his hand. “It gave the Celtic leaders the upper hand against our crossbows.” Beck passed his fingers one last time over the smooth surface of the stone then let it hang back around Mae’s neck. “I thought the Nauss took all of their toys with them, when they left.”
“For the most part they did. What few artifacts we have left from them, we keep well-guarded,” stated Meredith.
“I don’t know about you guys, but I need to eat...Now!” Mae interrupted.

New Release - Mark of the Witch by Jessi Gibson

EXCERPT -
Oh, and Jilly, you really shouldn’t be in the habit of meeting strange people at night. I could have been a strangler for all you knew,” he said with a hint of reproach in his voice.
“Oh, I wouldn’t worry too much about me, William; it’s the strangler who should be worried,” Jilly said with a viscous gleam in her eyes while she vigorously rubbed her palms together until they glowed brightly in the moonlight. “Care to shake my hand, Mr. Strangler?” she asked with a laugh as she stuck her hand out to him.
“Ok, I’m game, let’s see what you’ve got up your sleeve,” he said as he grabbed her hand. Almost instantly he was on the ground, writhing in pain. “Well, I will say that tonight I’m glad that I cannot die; that sure packs a punch. I think I could feel my heart stop for a second,” he said, a little winded, as he propped himself up into a sitting position and rubbed his hand.
“Yeah, I figured I’d give you a real show tonight,” she said as she walked away.
He watched her go, still sitting on the ground, and said, “Until tomorrow then,” almost under his breath.
