Committing to send everyone who bought a book this month a handmade collage was way more work than I anticipated. The new bookmarks look amazing though, and I’m excited about that. Woo!

Excerpt from Recent Interview!
Megan Falley: Oh goodness. I don’t think, at least for me, that self-confidence in writing is a constant thing. There are weeks where I feel great about the work I am putting forth, and weeks I think that I am a sham who just had decent luck with former poems and I’ll never write a good one again. Self-doubt can be crippling, but it can also keep me grounded. I know that not everything I write is amazing—if I thought that, I wouldn’t struggle, wouldn’t push, wouldn’t stretch myself to be better than the last time. I wouldn’t edit. I don’t ever want to be 100% confident in my writing. When I am, I think I’ll start writing real, consistent crap. I don’t want to be 100% self-depricating either, because that is the antithesis of creativity. I just want to acknowledge that sometimes I hit the mark, and sometimes I don’t. It’s not about always hitting the mark, it is about always shooting. About not being afraid of your own arrow.

Anyone want to buy my ice cream trike? You can pack it with popsicles and sell them for money or you can just make goofy videos with a dreamboat like Andrea Gibson. I bought it with the intention of starting a business with my daughter but like a lot of my ideas, I forget that they require time that I don’t really have. The bike is really smooth riding and well made. I bought it for 1800 from Ice Trikes in Portland but I will sell it for 800. Email me at laurenmzuniga@gmail.com or message me on Tumblr.

So I am making original collages and bookmarks for anyone who orders a copy of my book from me before February 1st! The bookmarks are swell too but a lady has to keep SOME secrets. PayPal $16.95 (cost of book + s&h) to kneepits@gmail.com for your signed copy and goodie bag of creative brain-spills. I adore you!
Bucket List (are you listening, universe?)
Acquire camping gear, and be a person who can live out in the woods for a couple days at a time. See the world this way.
Join an animal-rescue agency of some sort. Continue finding homes for dogs & cats who would otherwise be euthanized.
Would you like an autographed copy of my book, 'After the Witch Hunt' and some personalized artwork (surprise!) from me? Paypal $16.95 (book cost + s&h) to kneepits@gmail.com, with your address!
let’s beat those big businesses and heart break together!
