Here’s a new poem from my upcoming book, What the Night Demands, which comes out on April 25th, thanks to Write Bloody Publishing.

If you were uncomfortable with the name you had (not for gender identity reasons, you just felt something else would fit you better) how would you do it? Thank you so much Megan :)

Thank you for such an interesting question. I think I would probably pick a literary character that meant something to me. Scout and Atticus are both great names from a book I love. Or I would pick a sound I really liked and incorporate it there. I think Indigo is a very pretty word, though it might be a strange name. Or I would just plop a baby-naming book in my lap and pick something I’d want to name my son or daughter. I’d chose a name for someone I want to bring into the world, because essentially that’s what you’re doing. I hope this helps!
