I recently watched your performance of fat girl and read your poem 'Closure' on someone elses tumblr and may I just say you are brilliant and though it may not matter I was surprised at first to see you write a poem on being fat when you seem far from it.
Thank you for the compliments! While it is always nice to get the affirmation that 1) your work is appreciated and 2) you are not fat, “fatness” has been something I have carried my whole life, no matter what weight I’ve been. That’s what that poem is about. I want to also stress that being fat is not a synonym for not-beautiful. Not even a little. Just putting that out there, into the tumblr-verse.
