DAY 3
Friday morning before the show floor opened, I got a handcart and wheeled the two cases of free KRYPTON paperbacks over to our table in the convention center. The first 90 attendees at the "Spotlight on Kevin J. Anderson" panel received one. The room was packed, standing-room only; my friend Steven L. Sears (Exec Producer of XENA) interviewed me and then we opened the floor to questions. Afterward, I did another signing in the main autographing pavilion.
The room starts to fill for the KJ

DAY 1: Rebecca and I reached our hotel and checked in — the new Hilton connected to one end of the Convention Center (but still blocks…or maybe miles..away from the main halls). HarperCollins had sent me two cases of the paperback LAST DAYS OF KRYPTON to hand out t

WINDS OF DUNE Tour Schedule Announced
Tor Books has just finalized our tour route for THE WINDS OF DUNE this August. Ten out of the past eleven years, Brian and I have done extensive signing tours for the new book (THE ROAD TO DUNE was our only year off). Normally, we concentrate on the West Coast, due to Brian's travel limitations. This year, however, Brian will be spending days on a train to head east. We haven't done an East Coast tour since 2003 for THE MACHINE CRUSADE, so it's about time to see our fans on the other side of

DC Comics Announces Graphic Novel Collection of JSA: Strange Adventures
My 2004 six-issue Justice Society of America miniseries for DC Comics, "Strange Adventures," told the story of popular pulp SF writer Jack Williamson teaming up with aspiring writer Johnny Thunder to tell the tales of the JSA for famed editor Hugo Gernsback at the magazine Amazing Stories. Jack Williamson was a real Grand Master when this story was written and also a very popular figure in Amazing Stories during the time period in which this comic series is set. Jack Williamson died
