In his brief two-year tenure as a production line worker at Foxconn, Xu published more than 30 articles in the in-house magazine 'Foxconn People'.

I speak of blood, because I can’t help it
I’d love to talk about flowers in the...

Xu Lizhi - I swallowed an iron moon

I swallowed an iron moon
they called it a screw

I swallowed industrial wastewater and unemployment forms
bent over machines, our youth died young

I swallowed labor, I swallowed poverty
swallowed pedestrian bridges, swallowed this rusted-out life

I can’t swallow any more
everything I’ve swallowed roils up in my throat

I spread across my country
a poem of shame

Kobi Israel - "Cuba! Love Story" is a personal travelogue which was created over the course of twelve years exploring notions of the macho and the masculine/militant versus the homoerotic in revolutionary Cuba. These notions were very familiar to the photographer from his youth and adolescence in Israel, a time during which his confusion and bewilderment about masculinity were left unresolved.
