Six Sentence Sunday: Before The Morning #2

It's back to being warm and dry and lovely here, so I think we might have a reprieve for a little while longer. I wouldn't say no to that, because I'm about to start pulling my hair out and bid goodbye to my sanity as the kids start 2 weeks of Easter break tomorrow. *sigh*
But that's neither for here nor now (thank goodness!) so let's indulge while we still can. Does indulgence have any other name than SSS on Sundays? Not really! :)
Back in London this week, with the hunky ...

Progress Friday + an excerpt from the WIP

It's been another of those weeks, where I again, didn't make my target word count *sigh*. Blast - it seems all I ever do on Fridays is admit defeat, and I'm tired of that. When ever will things calm down a little and allow me some sane moments so I can get on with my stuff? This week's paltry productivity is thanks to a massive migraine of the female-only kind, and then my super-crappy ISP f*cking up my connection again. Tell me how productive you'd feel when every morning - when y...

I kicked off this series of posts last week. Want to hear about real women, and what they think of men, dating, men+dating, and romance in Real life? Look no further!
Originally from Esquire.com, here's the next 50 on this list!
Enjoy!

BLOG TOUR: Fat is the New 30!

I took a break from blogging this start of April, but I'm back on today with a review of a book you really should read. :)
A few weeks ago, a publicist who often sends me review requests got in touch with a message that asked if I'd agree to review this book: Fat Is The New 30: The Sweet Potato Queens' Guide to Coping with (the Crappy Parts Of) Life, written by Jill Conner Browne.
The title itself was intriguing, and she mentioned this was not a work of fiction. I was tickl...

Six Sentence Sunday: Before The Morning #1

It's an awful rainy, drafty, cold Sunday morning here in Mauritius. In the workds of Ned Stark, I too have to say that "winter is coming" (and FYI, Game of Thrones returns today! Yippee!)
That being said, I'm looking forward to SSS today, because this will be the first time I'll be sharing an excerpt from my upcoming May 7 release, and Book 2 of my Corpus Brides espionage series, with anyone else aside from my trusted CPs and my editor at Noble. Totally chuffed!
So what's Be...

Progress Friday + this week's excerpt from the WIP!

We've been having an absolutely awful week of rain and super-humidity - let me tell you, that kind of weather makes your muse and/or inspiration take a huge beating.
But I braved through, people! I sat down and wrote, and moved my word count by 4,908 words these past 2 days!
March went by me in a huge blur, and I have no clue what I've gotten done (except, if that makes sense, I know what I've not gotten done!). Should've been finished with the first draft of Transient Hearts this we...

Link Thursday: 1000 Things You Don't Know About Women (Part 1)

A quick one today, because I'm hoping my Internet will cooperate. Yes, it is still acting up, no thanks to the torrential rains we've been having this week.
So, there's actually a thousand items on this list, and of course, cannot post them all right here, right now. What I'm doing is breaking the list into parts, that I'll post up every Thursday. 50 pieces every week - how does that sound?
Of course, you can bypass me and go read the full list on the Esquire.com site alrea...

Writing Wednesday: The Zurian Child & Jessica E. Subject

Today I have the pleasure of welcoming back a lovely friend and a fabulous author, Jessica E. Subject! Jessica's latest book The Zurian Child released this month, and let me tell you - this is the series that converted me to loving sci-fi romance!
I just love her gorgeous cover - don't you? :)
I'll let Jessica tell you more about the storyline, and how this series came into being!

Tidbit Tuesday: A Review for "The Replacement Wife"

I came upon this book on Netgalley, and requested it for reading & review because the subject matter hit quite close to home with me, and the premise sounded intriguing and definitely interesting.
Within a few days of requesting to view the galley, someone from the book's publishing house approached me about reviewing the book, and if I'd be willing to take part in its promo by putting up a blog post/review on March 27, the day the book is released.
I'd already decided to r...

Six Sentence Sunday - Calling Home Snippet #14

Another beautiful Sunday morning here in Mauritius. Life seems to be ebbing slow and calm lately, tiding us from one season into the other. Some things remain constant though... like Six Sentence Sunday.
I'm ready to sit down and browse some fine samples of writing from my fellow SSS posters – join me?
I'm taking you one final time to the Surrey mansion today... We've been with hunky doctor Jamie and uptight pathologist Margo for a good many weeks now, but it's time I let ...
