I've been trying to find a case for my phone, but it's so hard. Everything is bulky and ugly and rubbery. Sure, it'll prevent my phone from cracking if I were to hurl it across my living room in a fit. But for the sake of getting something pretty, I've decided to just NOT put my phone in danger. I was lucky enough to find this website: Society6 where people go to buy affordable art. I've found some pretty fly things. Check it.

 

See? How could I not have a hard time choosing? I'm pretty sure I'm going with this last pink one. What do you thinks?

New Year

Or, why I have neglected my blog.

But Also, welcome to my website!


I'd been hoping to do a big contest with a website reveal, but it took nearly 8 months to this site up and running. Here is a warning to debut writers hiring someone to do your site: be very specific about your timeline.

But anyway. I do have news to share. BOOK 2 is done and done. I can finally do other things like clean my apartment, pick up my dry cleaning, cook my own food, swim down the Atlantic, go to the gym. Maybe even shower... I can do stuff that doesn't involve sitting on my couch with my laptop drilled into my thighs. I don't understand where the term like a boss came from. Seeing it thrown around the blogosphere makes me feel like it's an appropriate attribution to this feeling. I finished book 2, like a boss. The Savage Blue continues Tristan's journey. More mermaids, murder and mayhem coming your way.

BUT FIRST! With the release for The Vicious Deep only 3 months away, I'm resisting the urge to hide in my closet until someone comes to collect me. I've already been seeing ARCs popping up all over the place.

So here is a tiny questionnaire that would help me figure out some things for the next few weeks, if you all would be lovely and leave suggestions in the comments:

In case you were wondering, I have not been eaten by sharks. I am busy writing and editing and planning 2012 domination. In February I plan on hosting my first ARC giveaway along with a SUPER COOL SECRET prize. Seriously, I just want to keep them all to myself. But, this year is going to be about thinking of others. (Lets see how long that lasts!) (JJ).

The Vicious Deep cover has gone through a roller coaster. Which is appropriate since it takes place in Coney Island. Not only do we have a fabulous new cover, but the book has gone from paperback to hardcover! It's already up on Amazon. They do work fast! 



Look at how blue!  How wavy! How tridenty! How Vicious Deepy.... Okay those last couple are strange ways to describe it. But I'm so glad to have gone through this cover journey.
