Here's to after 10 years of hiding from the dentist, having a check up with no cavities. You guys, I am thrilled.

But seriously, I got a cleaning and the x-rays and stuff and the folks were great, and I finally got some reassurances that it’s ok my wisdom teeth are coming in all of a sudden, but without insurance it would have been like $750 or something for my sweetheart and I and he still has to go back for a filling. For us out of pocket it was $12. Sometimes when people are talking smack about the young folks I kindly point out that if you have dental maybe you should STFU about what the creative class should be doing for you.

Looking for a 2nd dog has turned into some kind of heartbreaking combination of both apartment hunting and dating.

There’s the crazy overpriced dog that’s going to need a ton of vet work and a year of training, there’s the super cute puppy 40 people want and you’re 3 hours away so there’s just no way you’ll get there in time, and then there’s the rescue dog that started this whole mess, that was perfect and rolled sweetly in the grass with Gremlin for 20 min and then went to somebody else.

Not yet, but I waaannt one. I think we were thinking of getting a dog closer to a year or two old but the puppies are easier to find and so dang cute.

I guess I’ll throw out that if anyone knows of a French Bulldog or Boston Terrier or mix of that nature in the NW States in need of a home, let me know. We’re game for paying a rehoming fee depending on the situation.

So my eye doctor informed me that my vision has worsened significantly and that it’s probably lifestyle related (ahem I think she means staying up all night reading smutty stories online) and then she gave me the option of getting bifocals or wearing contacts with reading glasses to prevent further damage. I went with the latter and now my sweetheart calls them my dirty readers.
