Happy Six Sentence Sunday everyone! I'm so excited to share six from my new contemporary release, One Night with a Hero! 

Brady devoured Joss in a way that was too hard and possessive for a first kiss, but he couldn’t stop himself. Aggression still flowed through his blood at the punks who’d nearly knocked her to the ground, and the chemistry between him and this infuriatingly sexy woman was damn near incendiary. If all that wasn’t enough, her pleading words had detonated the last of his self-control, assuming he’d ever had any where she was concerned.

He sucked and nipped at her full lips, plowed his hands through her pinned-up hair, and stepped into her body until there was no space between them, until he could feel her puckered nipples press against his chest. Good morning, everyone! I am thrilled to be here today. Just simply thrilled. Before I get into today’s guest blog, I want to ramble on for a minute. I met our gracious host several years ago, and she’s always been so friendly with me, so willing to help out and so encouraging. This past year she’s flown to incredible heights, and it’s nice to look back and be able to witness what hard work and determination can do for an author. (Not to mention talent!)
Anyway, thank you Laura Kaye for hosting me today. And if you weren’t aware of it already, she kindly offered to read Immortal Surrender for me, and made me misty-eyed with her cover quote.

So… on with the official blog post that I’ve been talking about for most of this month! I told Laura early on I hoped to do a cover reveal and Tor beat me to that punch. Just pretend you haven’t seen that part of things ;)
What’s next for these tortured Templar Knights?
Lucan! We’re going to be traveling to Europe with Lucan and company, meet some more of our European knights under Raphael and Alaric’s command, and stir up a bit of dust.
Lucan’s story is one that is really dear to my heart.  You will also be discovering some new things about our seraphs. And Chloe, his leading lady, is really someone I quite admire.
So with much ado – here’s the cover and the book blurb!  Look for it on shelves, March 26th.

I’m working on edits now, and will soon have a cover for that story as well.  We don’t have official back cover copy, but I wanted to get the word out now, so you have something to look forward to for your new e-readers!
Meanwhile – if you haven’t started on the series, you might want to do so before Trust comes out.  Things get a little sticky in the storyline once that happens.  Also, keep paying attention to my blog – I have giveaways to still get through as we move toward the holiday season.

“Damnation,” he hissed through clenched teeth.
He stalked back to the bed. No longer concerned for her injuries, he snatched up her fingers and inspected the scar once more. Nay, his eyes did not play tricks. She bore a dagger on her hand. It matched his as if someone had miniaturized the eighteen-inch-long weapon and scalded it into her flesh.
She belonged to him.
The door opened, and Farran’s head snapped up. He returned Louise’s pleasant smile with a glare. “You may undress the wench.” He shouldered past the aging caretaker, ignoring the way she spluttered.
So Gabriel sought to pair him with a maid, did he? ‘Twas no wonder the archangel did not forewarn him of her nature. Gabriel well knew Farran would rather swallow his own sword.
He took the stairs two at a time, in desperate need of fresh air. His fingers twitched with the need to pummel something. A seraph! His seraph! God’s teeth, would he be allowed no mercy? Could he not just leave this world and be done with life?
In the wide front room, Farran braced his hands on the table and squeezed his eyes shut tight. Duty bound him to accept the pairing. With the oaths they were fated to take, the Templar would gain much needed strength. Much as he would like nothing more, he could not walk away from the woman in the bed upstairs.
And yet . . .he did not have to stay either.
“Brother? Is something amiss?” Lucan’s voice drifted down the stairs.
Farran turned around and raised his glower to Lucan’s face. “You will go to her apartment. Fetch her cat. Fetch her things. Deliver them all to Mikhail.”
Lucan’s gaze narrowed with suspicion. “I trust you do not seek to have the maid to yourself?”
“Nay!” God’s teeth, nay. He would no more touch her now than he would touch a snake. He would say his oath, deliver her to the temple, and leave with the first light.
Cocking his head, Lucan studied him. Slow dawning filtered into his expression, and he answered with a thoughtful nod. “You recognize her mark. I shall have her mate sent here.”
Farran exhaled through his teeth. At his thigh, he clenched a hand into a tight fist. “There is no need for such.”
“Farran, you cannot be serious. She must be paired at once. ’Tis written—”
“She is mine, Lucan.” With the vile truth exposed, Farran stormed out the door.

Welcome, Taryn! Tell us a little about your latest or upcoming release.
LIGHTNING is a 1Night Stand story for Decadent Publishing. Great fun to write. I return to spooky and mystical Sleepy Hollow, the setting for my erotic paranormal for The Wild Rose Press, Sleepy Hollow Dreams.  LIGHTNING is not as dark and demonic. It’s a light-hearted reunion romp, and a lightning-fast read, featuring a sex-shy succubus, Lily Night, and her high school crush (and I mean that literally!), Campbell Jones.

Fun! Which character is your favorite and why?
Arrgh. I hate that question! It’s like asking a mother who her favorite child is. The short answer is: Whatever hero I’m currently writing about because I fall in love with each and every one of them. Campbell Jones was particularly satisfying (ahem) to write because of the interesting super powers he acquired during his disastrous prom night with Lily ten years before the story takes place! And of course I adore Ryck, the dark and trapped hero of Sleepy Hollow Dreams, and still swoon over Adam, the sensual damaged hero of Healing Hearts, my Regency romance for Carina Press.
LOL! Sounds like me! As the author, what surprised you about this story?
How quickly it all came together! For me, that can sometimes be a struggle. I’m not only a pantser, but I’m also one of those insane self-editing writers who goes over and over the beginning before moving on. Because LIGHTNING had to be short to fit the 1Night Stand guidelines, and because it already had the framework of the 1Night Stand, it just started flowing and kept flowing. Great fun to write!
Will there be any sequels or other books in the same series?
Yes! THUNDER is tentatively releasing on Friday. That’s still not quite set in stone, but if it’s not Friday, it’ll be very soon after! The hero, Sean Jones, is the brother of LIGHTNING’s hero, Campbell Jones. And THUNDER’s heroine, Veronica Hardwicke, is also mentioned in LIGHTNING, although not by name…just as “Her Royal Highness.” The Veronica I had in my head when I wrote LIGHTNING changed significantly when I actually started typing her for THUNDER. She went from a rich and spoiled rhymes-with-witch to an actual witch. Not even remotely spoiled, but totally hot for Sean, her hunky contractor!
Sounds great! What are you working on right now?
My current WIP, tentatively titled FROST, will be another 1Night Stand story. This one features Lily’s sister, Dagney, also a succubus. She’s the one who turns Lily on to Madame Evangeline’s exclusive 1Night Stand dating service in LIGHTNING!
Awesome! What happened to the first book you ever wrote?
Aside from those I wrote in elementary school on construction paper, that were carefully preserved by my parents in their dining room breakfront for many years?
It was a looooooooong story about a rock star and a photographer from a Rolling Stone-type magazine. It was written in longhand, beginning when I was 16 and had a boring part-time summer job at the Department of Motor Vehicles, making check marks in a notebook whenever someone signed up for the written driver’s test.  It lies dead and buried in a carton in my den closet, where it shares space with dust bunnies.
*grins* Have you incorporated actual events or people from your own life into your books?
I could tell you that…but then I’d have to kill you. (Or, you know, put you in a book!)
Right! Got it! What would your readers be surprised to learn about you?
I’m a lawyer.
Okay, now, just for fun:
Milk chocolate or dark chocolate?   Dark
Salty or sweet? Both. (And, of course, it would depend on precisely WHAT is salty or sweet! Or, you know, both.)
Bed or kitchen table? Oh, you don’t want to go there! (Have you SEEN my house?)
Beach or mountains? Beach. (Except for that sand particle thing.)
Give or receive? Takes two to, um, tango.

Lily Night narrowed her eyes as the building maintenance man shifted her framed diploma on the freshly-painted wall opposite her desk. She tried not to ogle the firm ass encased in a pair of tight jeans or the way the man’s shoulder muscles rippled beneath his T-shirt.
Maybe if I pop an Altoid, I’ll have an excuse to wipe away the drool.
She refrained from jumping the handsome worker dude’s bones. The last time she’d dallied with a human, the encounter had not gone well. Vivid images of that long ago prom night bombarded her. Campbell Jones had been a young, strapping, hunk-and-a-half football player and they’d started their date full of hope and expectation and lust. When he’d adjusted the And briefly knocked out cell phone service in the lower Hudson Valley, as well.
She’d sworn off humans ever since. Instead, she pulled all-nighter after all-nighter to evade the dreams in which men called to her—and to avoid the university dating scene that inevitably led to frequent and addicting sex.
