2 Newly Announced ‘SNL’ Hosts Just Got Closer to a Coveted Record

Saturday Night Live’s official 50th anniversary show may have come and gone, but the legendary sketch comedy series is keeping the party going—and just might need to invest in some new Five-Timer jackets.

On Wednesday, NBC announced its next three host/musical guest pairings: On March 29, Anora star/newly-minted Oscar winner Mikey Madison will lead the proceedings with (controversial) country music star Morgan Wallen as her musical guest. On April 5, Jack Black will take the stage with the impressive duo of Elton John and Brandi Carlile performing; the following week, Jon Hamm will team up with Lizzo for the April 12 episode.

It’s a solid lineup to be sure, and what could lead to a monumental achievement for both Black and Hamm: Entry into the Five-Timers Club—the group of celebrities who have hosted SNL five times or more.

Black made his first appearance on SNL all the way back in 1998 as part of Tenacious D, though they were just special guests (not the official musical act). On January 19, 2002, the Orange County star made his hosting debut, and returned on October 4, 2003 and December 17, 2005. On December 2, 2006, Tenacious D was the official musical guest (which doesn’t count toward the Five-Timers Club, as it’s specifically for five-time hosts).

While Hamm’s upcoming gig will mark his fourth time as host, he has been a very regular guest of the show—making 14 cameos between 2011 and 2024.

On April 6, 2024, Hamm helped to induct Kristen Wiig into the club—despite his not being a member (yet):

Hamm and Black will join Dana Carvey, Cameron Diaz, Lindsay Lohan, Charles Barkley, Michael Keaton, and Dave Chappelle as four-time hosts.

Selena Gomez Turns Heads With See-Through Top, Crashes NYC Movie Screening With Benny Blanco, Drops New Song

During a re-release screening of the 2012 movie Spring Breakers, the star of that film —Selena Gomez— crashed the festivities, much to the delight of moviegoers and fans. Along with her fiancé, songsmith Benny Blanco, Gomez stunned people on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, stepping out in a translucent turtleneck top, leather jacket, and jeans. But at the screening, she was her down-to-earth self, telling fans that she still loves the 2012 movie. She added that "she's so grateful" and that people revisiting the movie "means the world to me."

Fans in attendance at the Spring Breakers screening in NYC posted videos to X of Gomez and Blanco at the event, in which the pair not only spoke to the audience but also, debuted a brand new song one day before its general release.

"We wanted to do something special for you guys," Blanco said. "So, we're going to play a song that hasn't been heard yet. And then, we're actually going to give it to you a day early."

Fans in attendance got a new single, "Blue Flame" a collaboration between Blanco and Gomez, on a physical USB at the end of the screening.

Blanco and Gomez have been engaged since 2024, but they've been a couple, and collaborators for much longer. They've worked on music together since 2015, just a few years after Gomez starred in Spring Breakers.

As of this writing "Blue Flame" has not yet hit Spotify or iTunes, but will likely drop on the morning of March 20th.

Spring Breakers streams to rent on YouTube, Hulu+Cinemax, and elsewhere.

Hulu’s Hilarious New Crime-Comedy Has a Near-Perfect Rotten Tomatoes Score

“Full of hijinks and heart.” “Over-the-top and hilarious.” “Admirably edgy.” “A highlight of this young year.” Those are just a few of the dozens of bits of praise critics are throwing at Deli Boys.

All 10 episodes of the hilarious crime caper dropped on Hulu on Thursday, March 6, and it’s been racking up overwhelmingly positive views ever since—enough to net Deli Boys a near-perfect 96 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Related: Netflix's Compelling New Legal Drama Nabs Rare 100 Percent Rotten Tomatoes Score

The series, which was created by Abdullah Saeed, stars Asif Ali (WandaVision) and Saagar Shaikh (Ms. Marvel) as the spoiled sons of a wealthy convenience store magnate who are forced to take over their father’s business when dies in a bizarre golf course accident. While Mir (Ali) respects the idea of hard work, Raj (Shaikh) would prefer to take each and every shortcut he can find. Unfortunately, there’s no escaping the truth they quickly learn about their dearly departed dad: his real business was running a drug empire. Fortunately, they’ve got their “Auntie” Lucky (Poorna Jagannathan), their father’s trusted consigliere, to help show them the ropes—whether they like it or not.

Deli Boys is getting particular attention for its unique blend of comedy, which is goofy, dark, and surreal—sometimes all in the same moment. But, at its heart, it’s a show about family, and there are some touching moments and storylines. It also doesn’t shy away from representing the immigrant experience in America, making it timely. And while Ali and Shaikh make a formidable comedic duo, it’s Jagannathan who steals the show.

As Jazmin Aguilera wrote in The Boston Globe: “You never know when a moment will become a poignant commentary on modern reality, or just a gag, and it is exactly this combination of the unknowable and relatable that kept my eyes glued to the TV.”

While Deli Boys is clearly a hit with critics and viewers alike, Hulu has yet to announce whether a second season will be coming.

Here Are The 3 Most Popular Dog Breeds In 2025

Dog ownership has always been popular in the United States, but it seems to be on an even bigger rise since the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.

With more people working from home and more people seeking companionship, dog ownership is becoming more and more popular. There are reportedly close to 60 million dog ownership households in the United States. That number is almost twice what it was in the early 1990s, when it was close to 30 million. It's significantly up since the early 2010s, too, when it was around 40 million.

Which dog breeds are most popular, though? You probably have your guesses, but the American Kennel Club has actual answers.

Here are the three most popular dog breeds in the United States in 2025, according to the report.

1. French bulldog

The French bulldog, despite its infamous health problems, comes in at No. 1 on the list. It's small and cute stature can be ideal for apartment or small house living, as they don't need a ton of room to move around.

2. Labrador retriever

The Labrador retriever is the official dog of Newfoundland. It was often employed as a duck retriever and known as a good friend to fishermen. It's become one of the most popular dog breeds in the United States.

3. Golden retriever

The golden retriever feels like America's dog. It seems to be the go-to pet in movies and TV shows and, if you've ever met one, they're impossible not to love. Few things on this planet, if any, are more consistently happy than a golden retriever.

Dennis Quaid Reveals Why He Accepted Role He Initially Didn't Want to Play

On Thursday, March 20, Paramount+ will be releasing the first two episodes of Happy Face, an eight-part limited series starring Dennis Quaid and Annaleigh Ashford.

Happy Face is inspired by the true story of Keith Hunter Jesperson, more commonly known as the "Happy Face Killer," the role Quaid was initially prepared to say "no" on playing.

"He disgusts me, to tell you the truth," Quaid told People. "I'm not really interested in playing a serial killer, but it was the relationship with his daughter — and the story is told from her point of view — that's the reason I said 'yes' to this."

Dennis Quaid receives the Cinema Icon Award at Caesars Palace during CinemaCon in Las Vegas on April 11, 2024.

Gabe Ginsberg/Getty Images

"That's what made it interesting," the 70-year-old actor continued. "It's dedicated to the victims."

The inclusion of Ashford, who portrays the Happy Face Killer's daughter, Melissa Moore, appears to have been a major difference-maker for a role that Quaid had been so reluctant to accept in the first place.

"[Ashford] made my job so much easier," Quaid explained. "All I had to do was sit there and react to her."

As Quaid mentioned, Happy Face is a series centered around the perspective of Jesperson's daughter, Melissa, and her decision to publicly identify herself in order to potentially identify a possible ninth victim murdered by her serial-killer father.

Quaid went on to share that taking on the role of Jesperson turned out to be "remarkably easy to play because I don't think he really has emotions."

Jesperson had been dubbed as the “Happy Face Killer" due to the letters he would send to the media and prosecutors that contained smiley faces.

The debut of the new series will add to an increasingly impressive catalog that Paramount+ has built over the past stretch of years, including Tulsa KingThe Agency, 1923, and Lioness, among several others.

The end of March is proving to be a big one for the streaming service, with Happy Face premiering Thursday, March 20, followed by the highly anticipated MobLand—a crime series starring Tom Hardy and Pierce Brosnan—that will make its debut just 10 days later on March 30.

'Grey's Anatomy' Star Got Clear Warning About $20 Million Salary

Grey's Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo made a lot of money during her time on the show, but she was not prepared for the idea that she might face criticism for her massive salary.

During a recent appearance on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast, Pompeo recalled when her massive $20 million salary went public in 2018. She said she received a clear warning from her manager about the scrutiny she might face – something she says had not even thought about.

"My manager at the time said something to me that literally hit me like a brick," Pompeo said on the podcast. "He was like, ‘Are you ready to be unpopular?’

"I was like, ‘What do you mean?’ And he was like, 'Well, I just don't want you to think that everyone's going to go in and cheer for you and clap for you and bow to you and think you're the dopest thing ever, because there's going to be a lot of people who are not happy for you.' And that had never occurred to me."

Pompeo suggested this was the result of jealousy, saying that it can be "hard for people to celebrate other people," especially when that person has "something that resembles something that they want."

Pompeo agree with host Alex Cooper that men would not have received the same scrutiny that she received as a result of her salary.

"It’s a lot, and it’s patriarchy, and it’s misogyny and that's what it is," Pompeo responded. "Sports players are celebrated for their contracts. Crazy contracts. Not saying they’re not worth it, but I mean, it’s OK for them to celebrate it."

Instead of worrying about the criticism, Pompeo simply focused on what she could control and do good with the power she received as a result of her money.

"I think what helps me is ... to take myself out of it and stop thinking about myself and what people think of me and just focus on what I do best, which is the work," she said.

"When you make a lot of money as a woman, let's face it, you have power, right? So then how can I take that power and do good with it? How can I amplify someone else? How can I help someone else? How can I lift up someone else who doesn't sit in the position of privilege that I sit in? [Forget] what people think of me. Who cares? You can't control that. What you can do is use your power for good."

Pompeo also defended her massive salary a bit as she said she knew "exactly how much" the medical drama was making for ABC and that her character played a big role in the show's success.

"It’s my face, it’s my voice. I’ve done so much work promoting the show all over the world for the past 20 years," she explained. "I am the Disney princess of that franchise, so I have the data to back up. I know the show has generated this much money. I definitely deserve a percentage of that."

Needless to say, she is not going to apologize for how much money she made.

It also has a unique 4-in-1 discharge system, so you can scoop grass clippings into a bag or use it for mulching. The blower also packs plenty of power as it can move air up to 90 mph and features a two-speed control setting that gives you helpful adjustability. ‘Reacher’ Star Still Holds Record as SNL’s Youngest-Ever Cast Member

Saturday Night Live is in the midst of celebrating its 50th birthday. And while plenty about the show has changed since its very first episode, other aspects have stayed the same. Like the actor who holds the record for youngest cast member.

On a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy FallonReacher star Anthony Michael Hall stopped by to talk about the new season of his Amazon Prime Video hit series. And to reflect on his 40-year standing as SNL’s youngest cast member.

Related: Anthony Michael Hall Reveals Who Inspired That Iconic 'SNL' Fart Sketch With Robert Downey Jr.

In 1985, SNL creator Lorne Michaels returned to the late-night sketch series after a five-year absence and was determined to breathe new life into the show. So he opted to hire a handful of fairly well-known actors to fill out the cast, including Randy Quaid, Joan Cusack, Robert Downey Jr., and Anthony Michael Hall—who was just 17 years old at the time.

Fallon shared a photo of Hall from his year on SNL, and congratulated him on the long-standing record, which prompted The Breakfast Club actor to note that “The hairspray and hair gel budget was off the charts,” the 1985-1986 season.

"Forty years ago, wow," said Hall. “Thank you Lorne!”

When asked what his experience was like on the show, having already established himself in Hollywood as the star of movies like Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, and Weird Science, Hall deferred to Fallon. “Well, as you guys know—better than I—it’s everything,” said Hall. “It's rock and roll, it's theater, everything rolled into one, man. You just have such a great time doing it. And then there’s also the doing of the show, which is incredible.”

When Fallon asked if a 17-year-old was ready for that kind of gig, Hall assured him he was. “Because I was at home a year or two before that watching Eddie [Murphy]. I was always a huge Eddie fan.” Which is appropriate given that Murphy, who was just 19 when he was hired, held the title of youngest cast member for many years.

Hall was fortunate enough to be invited back for Saturday Night Live’s recent star-studded 50th anniversary special, and felt honored to be included. “I've always been a fan of SNL, so it was just great to come back and salute Lorne and everybody involved,” he said. “Man, it was incredible… it was like an out-of-body experience.”

It also allowed for more than one blast-from-the-past reconnection. Hall brought along some photos from the event for Fallon to share, including one of the now 56-year-old actor posing with SNL icon Chevy Chase, who played Hall’s dad in 1983’s National Lampoon's Vacation.

Taylor Swift Had Clear Preference on Travis Kelce's Retirement Decision: Report

Just a few days after a heartbreaking Super Bowl loss, Travis Kelce admitted he was considering retirement.

The Kansas City Chiefs star tight end thought about his future for two weeks before ultimately deciding to come back to play at least another season. "I still feel like I could play it at a high level and possibly at a higher level than I did last year," he said late last month.

"I don't think it was my best outing. I let my guys down in a lot more moments than I helped them, especially if you look at my track record and how I've been in years past. I want to give it a good run. I've got a bad taste in my mouth on how I ended the year and how well I was playing and how accountable I was for the people around me. I love so many people in Kansas City, both in that facility and in the community."

Taylor Swift (L) and Travis Kelce are seen in the Meatpacking District on December 28, 2024 in New York City.

TheStewartofNY/Getty Images

Before he made his decision to return to the Chiefs for the 2025 campaign, though, Kelce reportedly discussed the decision with girlfriend and billionaire musician Taylor Swift, "as a couple." According to a new report from Page Six, Swift was "definitely in favor" of Kelce playing next season.

“She didn’t want Travis to retire,” a source told Page Six. “She wanted him to go out on a high note.”

Kelce made the ultimate call, but the added input from Swift certainly didn't make it more difficult to decide to come back for another season. While he recorded a career low in receiving yards during the 2024 season, Kelce managed to haul in 97 receptions to lead the team.

He became just the 15th player in NFL history with at least 1,000 receptions and currently ranks third among tight ends in career receptions.
