Simone Biles Reveals the Mistake Her Husband Made on Their Wedding Day
Every bride wants their wedding day to be perfect, but Simone Biles and her husband Jonathan Owens know there was a small detail that didn't work out.
The Olympic gymnast advised the Chicago Bears safety to pick out a specific color for the groomsmen for their May 2023 destination wedding to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Owens didn't exactly complete the mission and there was a slight wardrobe hiccup.
The couple decided to surprise each other with their wedding day looks, including the bridal party. Biles guided him on the color scheme, but it somehow got lost in translation.
"They weren't wearing the correct colors I told them to, but it worked out," she admitted to E! News at the 2025 TIME100 Gala. "Whenever we got on the side, I was like 'What are they wearing?'"

The G.O.A.T of gymnastics made a plea to anyone watching the interview — leave the NFL player out of any social media criticism. "Don't flame my husband, please," Biles said with a smile. "It's not that he didn't listen to me on my wedding day for the outfit. I know y'all love to flame him, but it was a good choice."
Owens caught some heat in December 2023 when he claimed he was "the catch" in their relationship on The Pivot podcast. “I always say that the men are the catch,” he said. “She did [pull me], though, because I was fighting it. … At the time, I was afraid to commit. I was like, ‘This is my third year [in the NFL], I’m trying … it’s kind of early, but, you know, it happens when you least expect it.”
The athlete was able to redeem himself during the 2024 Paris Olympics by proving he was his wife's biggest cheerleader. The Chicago Bears allowed him to miss a few days of preseason training to support Biles from the stands, wearing a T-shirt with her image all over it.

Ben Affleck Makes Big Admission About 'The Accountant 2' and Jon Bernthal
Although it took nine years, the sequel to The Accountant is finally here. The Accountant 2 hit theatres on Friday, April 25, with Ben Affleck (Christian Wolff) and Jon Bernthal (Brax) headlining the film.
Ahead of the movie's official premiere, Affleck and Bernthal spoke with Collider about several topics related to the movie. However, one thing the actors echoed was the appreciation of their ability to work well together.
As Affleck explained in the interview, it almost felt as if he was "slacking off" at times because working with Bernthal felt "really easy" throughout filming.

"That’s the paradox, right? Strangely, when it feels really easy, my experience tends to be the best," Affleck explained. "You feel like the one unnerving thing, like, 'I should be working harder than this. Am I slacking off? This feels really easy,' and then it tends to really work."
"When it's like blood from a stone, and you're grinding it out, and it doesn't work, I feel like, 'Okay, well that kind of makes sense.' Part of it, honestly, is [Bernthal's] a brilliant guy and knows how to do this. I've been doing movies for a while, and I understand where it wanted to go. Part of it is you just get lucky. You work with somebody great, and then your rhythms and stuff fall in sync."
Bernthal summed it up well, explaining that they were "shooting the s***" and "having a good time." He admitted that this makes him realize that maybe he should rethink how he's doing everything.

"With this one, I've only had this experience a few times, and strangely, maybe I should rethink the way I'm doing everything, because every single time it's felt like this, I feel like I've been equally pleased with the result, which is almost never," Bernthal explained.
"But this one really felt easy. There was an ease, there was a level of trust, and there was no squeezing anything out."
There's plenty of intrigue surrounding The Accountant 2, and if it plays out as well as it sounds like filming it went, fans should enjoy the sequel. The early returns have been solid, with Rotten Tomatoes giving it a score of 76% over 100 critic reviews.

Sydney Sweeney Has Signed On for Another Video Game Adaptation
Earlier this week, we reported that Sydney Sweeney was teaming up with Michael Bay to create an adaptation of the popular arcade/video game OutRun. While Bay is scheduled to direct the film, Sweeney will produce it from a script by Jayson Rothwell. While Sweeney is planning to serve as a producer only on that project, it seems another video game adaptation has caught her eye.
On Thursday, Variety reported that 27-year-old actress—who just happens to be one of Hollywood’s most in-demand stars—has signed on to play the lead in an adaptation of the video game Split Fiction, which she will also executive produce. And they’ve lined up a stellar team to bring the game to life, including director Jon M. Chu (Wicked, In the Heights, Crazy Rich Asians) and scribes Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who penned all of the Deadpool movies alongside Ryan Reynolds.

The game mixes fantasy and sci-fi to follow the adventures of two authors, Mio and Zoe, who somehow become a part of their written worlds. Sources reported the details to Variety directly, but noted it wasn’t clear which role Sweeney would play: Mio or Zoe.
Sweeney, who is currently filming the third season of HBO’s Euphoria, which is set to arrive in 2026, has a jam-packed production schedule. In addition to Echo Valley with Julianne Moore and The Housemaid alongside Amanda Seyfried, Sweeney will take on the role of Hollywood celebrity Kim Novak in Colman Domingo’s Scandalous! and professional boxer Christy Martin in an untitled biopic.
Meta 'Deeply Saddened' in Latest Announcement
Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, announced some unfortunate news on Thursday as the company is laying off employees in its Reality Labs division.
Meta's Reality Labs division is tasked with developing virtual reality, augmented reality, and related wearable devices. Unfortunately, the company announced some layoffs in that division this week.
The company confirmed to CNBC on Thursday that it had cut an unspecified number of employees working in the Oculus Studios unit, which develops VR and AR games and content for Meta’s Quest VR headsets.
“Some teams within Oculus Studios are undergoing shifts in structure and roles that have impacted team size,” a Meta spokesperson told CNBC. “These changes are meant to help Studios work more efficiently on future mixed reality experiences for our growing audience, while still delivering great content for people today.”
Among the employees impacted were those working on the Supernatural VR workout app. Meta confirmed this with a statement posted to the Supernatural official Facebook group.
“We’re deeply saddened to share that these changes have resulted in the loss of some of our incredibly talented team members,” the company said. “Their contributions have been instrumental in shaping our journey and yours, and their absence will be deeply felt.”
The latest layoffs come after Meta in February laid off 5 percent of its employees who were deemed to be the company's lowest performers.
Shedeur Sanders 'Slide' Memes Flood Social Media
Shedeur Sanders' shock slide in the NFL draft sparked a round of memes and jokes on social media.
However, many other commentators expressed surprise that Sanders, the son of NFL great Deion Sanders, wasn't picked in the 2025 draft's first round. Some people argued that Sanders was done wrong when he fell out of the first round on April 24, 2025. But others took the chance to poke fun at him or the situation.

Diego Luna and Adria Arjona Had To Rerecord All of 'Andor' Season 2 For an Awesome Reason
Most major TV series streaming on big services like Disney+ all have the option for subtitles in other languages. On top of that, if your preferred language isn't English, there's often the option for dubbed audio tracks in a variety of languages. Generally speaking, this means that the voices of the characters will sound different in other languages, because the people doing the voice dubs in French, German, or Spanish will not be the famous Hollywood actors on the screen.
But not with the Disney+ series Star Wars: Andor. If you choose the Spanish language dub for Andor Season 2, the voice actors who provide the Spanish dialogue for the characters of Cassian Andor and Bix Caleen are the exact same people who play them in English — Diego Luna and Adria Arjona.
"Most people don't realize that," Arjona told Carolina Reynoso in an interview posted to Reynoso's Instagram account. "It's a lot of work. You're doing the whole season and recreating a performance in a different language."
"And you're by yourself," Luna noted. "With no interaction."
Then, speaking in Spanish to Reynoso, Luna added that recreating the English performance for Andor in Spanish is a "folded art."
"Trying to get the Spanish to enter at the rhythm that the English is coming out of your lips is very difficult," he said, loosely translated from Spanish.
Both Luna and Arjona speak Spanish fluently. Luna was born in Mexico, while Arjona was born in Puerto Rico and grew up in Mexico City. You can watch more of Reynoso's videos here.

Scarlett Johansson Just Broke a Major ‘SNL’ Record
From Peter Webber’s Girl with a Pearl Earring to Noah Baumbach’s Marriage Story (which earned her her first Best Actress Oscar nomination), Scarlett Johansson has delivered some truly impressive dramatic performances. But she’s no slouch in the comedy department, and is poised to break a major comedy record.
On Thursday, NBC announced that Johansson will host the season finale of Saturday Night Live’s landmark 50th anniversary on May 17, 2025 with musical guest Bad Bunny. It’s a testament to just how much Lorne Michaels thinks of Johansson to hand her this coveted hosting gig, but she’s certainly no newcomer to Studio 8H. Far from it.

In fact, when Johansson steps on that stage on May 17, it will mark her seventh SNL hosting gig, setting a record for any female host in the half-century history of the legendary sketch comedy series.
Johansson last hosted the show on December 14, 2019, which landed her in a three-way tie for most frequent female guest host alongside Tina Fey and Drew Barrymore. But her upcoming performance will put her one episode ahead of Fey and Barrymore, and push her close to the very top of the list of most frequent hosts altogether (she’ll be tied with Christopher Walken).
Of course, given that Johansson is married to SNL’s “Weekend Update” co-host Colin Jost, her connection to the show goes much deeper than a typical guest host. Over the past near-20 years, she has made nine cameos on the show—even playing Ivanka Trump on April 12th’s controversial “The White POTUS” sketch. She has also been the butt of more than one joke (typically during one of Jost and Michael Che’s “Joke Swap” segments).
James Bond Candidate Touted as Daniel Craig Replacement
A candidate to be the new James Bond is getting a shout-out from a co-star.
Luis Guzmán, who stars with Tom Hardy in Havoc, weighed in on Hardy's chances to be 007.
Asked by Screen Rant whether Hardy could be the next James Bond, Guzman gushed over his co-star.
"Tom Hardy can do anything he wants, that's how good he is," he told Screen Rant, before discussing Hardy's role as Charles Bronson in the movie Bronson.
"Have you ever seen the movie Bronson? Check that movie out that he did. You want to see something intense? See that … and when you see that movie, and this movie, and [think about] him being the next James Bond, you'll understand," he continued to Screen Rant.

Hardy is just one of multiple candidates whose names have been floated as the new James Bond, although Screen Rant labeled him a "fan-favorite."

Rege-Jean Page, Joe Alwyn, Paul Mescal, Dev Patel, and Idris Alba have also been mentioned as possible Daniel Craig replacements in the iconic role.

Disney World Announces Bad News for Park Visitors in 2026
Disney World is announcing bad news for park visitors in 2026.
According to The Street, the theme park "recently released ticket prices for dates between January and October 2026, and there has been a notable increase."
The ticket prices for Disney World currently range between $139 and $189; however, from January to October 2026, "that range increased to $139 to $199. Animal Kingdom tickets currently sell for $119 to $169, but for the majority of next year, they will sell for $119 to $179," The Street reported.
Disney World posts a pricing calendar on its website.
For Epcot, "current ticket prices range from $129 to $184; however, between January and October 2026, they are $129 to $194. Finally, for Hollywood Studios, ticket prices are currently $139 to $184, but for most of 2026, they sell for $139 to $199," The Street added.
Disney Tourist Blog noted, "Prices did not increase on 2025 tickets, only on 2026 tickets." That site also added, "Walt Disney World has also ramped up discounts significantly in the last two years."

According to that site, Disney World is following a "Kohl's model" of pricing, by offering a lot of discounts, and the "end result is a value proposition that’s now much better than 2021-2023, all things considered. And for summer, it’s as good as 2019."
How much have Disney World prices risen? Back in 1971, it only cost $3.50 to get into the Magic Kingdom, according to Mickey Visit.
That site says that ticket prices to Disney World rose 101.01% from 2014 to 2025 for the highest-priced 1 day ticket, and by 26.6% for the lowest-priced 1-day ticket.
"The Company’s theme parks and resorts as well as Disney Cruise Line and Disney Vacation Club compete with other forms of entertainment, lodging, tourism and recreational activities," the company noted in its 2024 annual report.
"The profitability of the leisure-time industry may be influenced by various factors that are not directly controllable, such as economic conditions including business cycle and exchange rate fluctuations, health concerns, the political environment, travel industry trends, amount of available leisure time, oil and transportation prices, weather patterns and natural disasters," the report says.
Theme park admissions grew 7% in 2024, the report adds. That came despite a dip in the last three months of the year, which the company attributed in part to natural disasters, according to Newsweek.
That report says an "increase in theme park admissions revenue was due to increases of 5% from higher average per capita ticket revenue nd 2% from attendance growth."
Longtime Fast-Food Chain Closing Hundreds of Locations
Jack in the Box is closing hundreds of locations.
"Jack in the Box will implement a block closure program, which is projected to result in the closure of approximately 150-200 underperforming restaurants — a majority of which have been in the system for over three decades," the company wrote in a press release on April 23, 2025.
"The program will consist of approximately 80-120 restaurant closures between now and 12/31/2025, with the remaining underperforming restaurants closing thereafter based upon respective franchise agreement termination dates," the restaurant chain wrote.
Along with the closures, Jack in the Box "introduced its multi-faceted 'JACK on Track' plan, which includes a comprehensive series of actions to improve long-term financial performance across its restaurant system, strengthen its balance sheet and demonstrate its commitment to running an asset-light business model — all of which will position the Company for sustainable growth in the coming years," the company wrote.
"As part of the plan, the Company has engaged BofA Securities to assist in the process of exploring strategic alternatives for the Del Taco brand, including a possible divestiture of the business," the release continued.
