R.S. Hunter–nobody calls him that in real life, but it looked and sounded nice on book covers–is a science fiction and fantasy author. He fell in love with science fiction from the moment the Star Destroyer first appeared on the screen in Star Wars. His grandmother made sure she had the VHS tapes ready whenever he visited her house from then on.

His short fiction has appeared in anthologies like In Situ from Dagan Books. The Exile’s Violin is his debut novel and the first in his steampunk Tethys Chronicles series.

He lives in Oregon with his wife (and better half!) and a dog who thinks she’s a cat. You can find him on Twitter (@rshunter88) talking about books, video games, the San Francisco Giants, heavy metal, and 80s music.

More books by R.S. Hunter…

Lately I’ve been going through a real rough patch with my writing. The world’s on fire so at times making the words happen is a struggle. But it’s been more than that too.

For a good portion of 2018 my mind has thrown every variation of “You’re a poseur writer” “You’ll never come up with any additional good ideas or concepts” “You basically had three ideas and you’ve done them already” at me.
