LG TONE Free HBS-FN6 Bluetooth Wireless Stereo Earbuds Review
The CMCO restriction is here to stay again in Klang Valley and I’m forced to limit my movements for God knows how long until the government says it’s okay to go around again. Being an exemplary citizen that I am, I’ve been staying home since 10/10/2020, albeit grudgingly. Grudgingly, because it’s quite stressful for someone who is constantly active and thrive on outdoor activities is forced to stay in the confines of my home. Staying home is indeed suffocating for me, especially when I had to endure endless sound pollutions from my neighbours all day long. One on side, there’s a newborn who cries and scream alot with high pitch tone of voice while on another side there’s a neighbour who is doing some major renovation where all the drilling and demolishing is so loud that it’s migraine inducing.
There is not much I can do to avoid all the noise pollutions around me. It’s not news that I cannot control people and their inconsiderate action. All I can do is find a way to reduce the impact of these noises on me, and I thought, getting myself a decent earphone with good noise cancelling function will do the trick, and so, when LG came up with this LG TONE Free HBS-FN6 Bluetooth Wireless Stereo Earbuds with UVnano Charging Case and Meridian Audio, I thought I’d give it a go and see if it’ll somewhat make my life better.
LG TONE Free HBS-FN6 Bluetooth Wireless Stereo Earbuds with UVnano Charging Case and Meridian Audio.
First impression:
The LG TONE Free HBS-FN6 Bluetooth Wireless Stereo Earbuds with UVnano Charging Case and Meridian Audio comes with a simple and sleek design with a mini size charging case that fits nicely in the palm of my hand. Once the case is open, tiny blue LED lights will blink and glow at the silicon ear tips. In all honesty, I was quite surprised when I first opened the case and was effectively impressed with this decorative feature.
Comfort:
The LG TONE Free HBS-FN6 is really comfortable to wear. The earbuds features soft silicone ear tips that barely gives me any pressure on the ear and wearing it does not restrict my movements in any way. A perfect companion whenever I’m moving around, especially when I’m working out. It also does not fall off easily during fast movements. I’ll have you know that my sword practice and cardio dance movements is no joke but the The LG TONE Free HBS-FN6 did not fall off during my routines, so it’s really a plus point for me here.
Playtime:
Long hour wearing is also not an issue as it gives the ‘barely there’ feeling. I’ve worn it up to 8 hours and until the battery died out and it did not numb or gives discomfort to my ears in any way. The battery time is long lasting as well and it surprisingly went up to 9 hours give and take after a full charge before I needed to give it another charge. The device offers wireless charging so it’s also convenient to bring around if you’re traveling.
Sound quality
So does the The LG TONE Free HBS-FN6 delivers when it comes to sound quality? The earbuds is using the Meridian technology and the sound quality is pleasantly good. Noise cancelling is too notch and once I wore the LG TONE Free HBS-FN6, it’s like I’m in my own world. The music surrounds me well with fantastic clarity of sound. The LG TONE Free HBS-FN6 handles a variety of sounds very well, from fast, high bass music to slow bass-less instrumental, they all sound really good. Movie/ drama watching experience through my phone is also elevated with clear vocal transmission.
The LG TONE Free HBS-FN6 is a two way earphone and it is equipped with dual microphone, so it’s definitely not audio only. It can also be used to answer phonecalls and video calls with great vocal clarity. Another plus point for multitasker.
Hygiene:
One of the feature that I like about this LG TONE Free HBS-FN6 is that it also place an importance not only the sound system but also on the cleanliness and hygiene. The earphone comes with a UVNano charging case that helps to kill off bacteria from the earbuds. However, I’m a clean freak so despite of the device is bundled with this function, I still prefer to wipe the earphone before and after usage to prevent unwanted infections on my ears.
Connection:
The LG TONE Free HBS-FN6 connection gives smooth connection to your devices. I’ve used it with my Android smartphone and my laptop respectively and had no issues with disconnection whatsoever. However, since I haven’t gone outdoor since I’m somewhat still on lockdown, I have yet to try using the earphone outdoors yet so I cannot comment the earphone’s Bluetooth connection when outdoor. I’ll update the review on the earphone once I have to chance to jog or workout outside.
Customisation and device firmware updates:
LG offers an apps to manage this device. It’s called LG Tone free and is available to download for free at the Google Playstore for Android. The LG TONE Free HBS-FN6 latest firmware can be updated through and sound tweak customization can be done through the apps as well. The apps is pretty much idiot proof and is easy to use as well, so if you’re to own a pair of this device, if recommend you to have it installed in your phone. The apps does not take much space in your phone and firmware updates are important, anyway. Plus, the apps will enable you to connect your earphone to Google Assistant on your phone, and that is really cool! I absolutely adore this function. It makes the earbuds wearing more wholesome and convenient because I use Google Assistant function on my phone quite alot.
Would I recommend the LG TONE Free HBS-FN6 Bluetooth Wireless Stereo Earbuds? Yes, definitely would recommend it, especially for music enthusiasts and multitasker. The device does justice to it’s pricetag and it’s definitely great in creating high quality sound barrier between you and the ‘outside world’. My only complain about the device is that it only comes in black and white colour. I wish there’s more vibrant colour with playful designs imprinted on it for me to choose from. But hey, overall, the device gives an excellent user experience that surpassed my expectations. So it’s a thumbs up and definitely a good device that deserve my praise.
The LG TONE Free HBS-FN6 Bluetooth Wireless Stereo Earbuds is available for purchase on Shopee HERE

Fixing Damaged Hair with Dove Hyaluron Purifying Serum Shampoo
As a scuba diver, it’s quite difficult to maintain smooth, silky and healthy hair like non-divers. Why? Well, it’s because I’m always exposed to either sea water during my open water dives or chlorine infested pool water during my training sessions. My hair is always dry, frazzled and is constantly cursed with split end. And what’s worst is that I suffer dry and itchy scalp. It can get really ugly because all the itchiness makes me wanna scratch my head all the time. And to add insult to injury, I suffer terrible hair loss as well. Whenever I brush through my hair, the hair will drop like crazy and it’s really scary.
Although right now I don’t dive in the open water or the pool as much due to the restrictions imposed by the government because of the Covid19 pandemic, my bad hair days is not getting better. In fact, it seems to be getting worst as I stay home. Not sure what contribute to that but I reckon it’s because of lack of essential vitamins and the skyrocketing stress caused by having to stay home all the time.
I thought of going to salon for treatments but they definitely will not be an enjoyable experience anymore like prior to Covid19 as there are many SOP to follow, and so, I tried this new drugstore shampoo by Dove.
The Dove Hyaluron Purifying Serum Shampoo with Hyaluron+Hydra Complex. The shampoo is supposed to be helpful in keeping the hair smooth and silky and we’ll managed.
I’ll be honest with you, I’m rather skeptical about it cuz I’ve tried plenty of shampoos and yet it doesn’t really help. But I have it a go nevertheless, and after 3 days of continuos usage, I’m happy to report that it actually show results.
My hair is now softer and smoother and easier to managed. My scalp feels somewhat fresh and moisturized throughout the day and it doesn’t itch that much anymore. I stopped having urge to unconsciously scratch my scalp. The flaky dandruffs are now a thing of the past and the best part of all is that when I brushed through my hair after showering, my hair shows significantly lesser drops. It’s really a pleasant experience. My hair now looks better than ever and it’s even bouncy and looks as if it has more volumes upon styling.
I wasn’t expecting this, to be honest as I’ve tried plenty of shampoos but none of them is as effective as Dove Hyaluron Purifying Serum Shampoo.
So is Dove Hyaluron Purifying Serum Shampoo is a yay or nay? Well, personally I think it’s a yay, and I would definitely recommend this to those with unhealthy scalp and hair issues.
I’m convinced that other Scuba divers like me who always have problems maintaining healthy hair will no doubt benefit from this Dove Hyaluron Purifying Serum Shampoo. We no longer have to resort to cutting our hair short to look decently presentable and my dive buddies will be the first I’d recommend to try this shampoo.
The Dove Hyaluron Purifying Serum Shampoo is available in major drugstores and shopping malls in Malaysia at RM30.60.

Stay Home and Shop Malaysian Made Products with PG Mall Proudly Local Sale
What I’ve been fearing since the end of September 2020 finally happened. Covid19 infections is on the raise and CMCO is back with vengeance for those who are living in Sabah and Klang Valley. To say that I’m utterly heartbroken is an understatement since I’m living in Kuala Lumpur, a place where those who resides in falls under the CMCO order. We’re once again advised to work from home and only 2 person per household is allowed to buy essentials. Plenty of other leisure and sports activities are banned as well.
While I still can do shopping the traditional ways in malls, the thoughts and the hassle of going through roadblocks and following strict SOP is a huge turnoff and I can no longer feel the joy and the pleasure of shopping at malls like I used to.
