Windswept Cover Release Details
As you guys know(or not know), the Windswept cover release is coming up this Friday, May 4th. So for a few housekeeping details. First, here’s the official countdown link:
Click me!
It’s set for 5PM eastern time.
It’s not coming out at midnight. I mean trust me, I love midnight premieres. I’m the kind of person who fights to get into a midnight movie showing of a movie I have no interest in seeing. There’s something about the atmosphere that makes it awesome. Buttttt the downside here is that the Windswept cover won’t be going up at midnight. Something about trying to update these blogs at midnight is always a nightmare and I’d already be getting back from a school event soooo very close to midnight. Since I hate being late, I just did it for 5PM of that day. Consider it a treat for Friday post school/work.
Second, the first chapter will also be revealed before the book comes out. I didn’t break them up for Grounded but Grounded was already essentially written when Airborne came out. Now I’m stretching things out a bit more.
Third, too much candy will make you sick. You’d think I’d know this but here we are. Also, that’s not about the book but an important life tip. You’ll thank me for it later.

Fun Stuff
I’m out of the soul-crushing hole called law school for a minute to show off some cool things! Just keep in mind: my responses are dead slow and completely erratic on the different sites so don’t expect any miracles. I’m doing my best to keep in touch but most of my spare time is dedicated to writing.
Anyways, every once in a while people send me some awesome things full of awesome awesomeness. I have a few of those things to show off.
The first one is from Rane. You can see her site here.
She has an artistic talent and used it to draw Mason. This is especially cool since Mason is one of the people we’ll likely never see on the book covers.

Sweet, right? See the full size here.
The other image is just a camera phone photo from Alaska. This is Alaska in January, for those who are unfamiliar with the territory.

This…reminds me why I live in Florida. Seriously though, it’s another amazing photo.
Y’all already know but I’ll repeat it à I don’t own these images! They were graciously shared by the owners for use on this site. Bam! Law school is making me overthink stuff. Anyways I can't stay around long but I will be back online sooner than later with more Windswept details!

Windswept as-it-happens and Saga review copies
As of today, I have two weeks free of work and school and will be wiping out chapters on Windswept. This is another reason I haven’t been online as much as I should be. But I’m taking this opportunity to catch everyone up on the harpie world.
So if you guys don’t follow my twitter(@CSibline), here’s the 411.
The Windswept summary is going to change. I originally threw in a summary for the tab as a temporary place holder. The more of the book I write, the more I realize that the short synopsis is definitely not going to make the cut.
Windswept is probably going to be the most massive of the three books, and throwing every reader into the heart of the harpie world isn’t coming easily. And as I’ve realized how complex it is, I’ve strung the plot tighter and thus I need a new summary.
I haven’t acted on it yet. I’ve been writing so much I haven’t decided where to go with a summary.
I suppose the only sneak peek I can remotely give is that Avery is finally graduating, my characters are getting older (*sniff sniff*), we’ll finally get an insight to living like a harpie.
I’m very happy about how everything is turning out and I’m definitely working to make it better than Grounded.
It’s still to be expected in 2012 and don’t quote me on it, but likely towards the end of summer.
I’m also having the cover made shortly. I’ll have another release event for that one a month or two prior, but I can’t say more now.
Also, you didn’t miss it. I haven’t made the announcement about whether Windswept would be the last book in the series yet and I’m definitely no closer to deciding.
So I think that covered all of the Windswept bases.
The last thing I want to update people on (mostly bloggers) are the review copies.
People have been asking me nonstop about getting review copies of the series. While I’d love to be able to work with bloggers, my ability to give away books has gone from hard to downright impossible.
I took names for a waiting list but even stopped this. While those people are still first priority, I just can’t afford copies. Paperback copies aren’t cheap and since I took my little leap of faith recently (quit my job, moved, and went back to school), finances definitely aren’t what they used to be. I can’t afford to do any more paperbacks. I still will consider giving out e-copies of the books.
So for any bloggers out there who have requested a copy or want to, this is the bad news. If it changes, I can update but it likely won’t until I’m out of school in three years.
Anyways, I’m back to work for now. Happy holidays!

The Constance behind the harpies
So, I do find myself rarely posting these days as my main focus has been pounding out Windswept—something you’ll be happy to know is going well. But I figured I’d use this opportunity to give an insight to well… me.
The more popular that Airborne Saga is becoming, the more I find my name being brought up on the internet. At the same time, I find people speculating on what I’m thinking. I’ll use this post to clear up the three things people tend to assume often.
People have been thinking I have some crazy ego.
I’m honestly not sure how people can think that about me. I’m an indie author who, up until the date I was published, never even told anyone I wrote stories. I’m definitely not the girl who discusses my next great American novel with people. It’s not something I really want or feel the need for people to know, even my closest friends. I published a book by myself and while I’ve gotten a ton of wonderful feedback, I definitely don’t think I’m more awesome than sliced bread. I am my biggest critic. Where people see a good book series, I see something that I need to work and make better. I never believe that I will lose the need to improve. All of this combined, I can’t say I have any big ego.
But that is me talking about myself. I have to believe in the Airborne Saga and everything that it can be. I think this is often mistaken for excessive pride or maybe it’s just something people end up thinking about all writers in general. I’m not sure, but this is my take.
People have been saying that I’m out to wipe out vampires or discredit the rest of the YA genre.
I guess this isn’t necessarily because of anything I did or said but goes with the new harpie in town. Every time there is something new, people think everything else needs to get the hell out of the way. While I love harpies, I do have my roots in the more familiar YA genre and for that reason, will love them just as much.
People also seem to think I’m being lazy with my books.
I’m certainly not making excuses for any inconsistencies or errors in the books. After all, I do try and hold myself to the highest standard. However, I’m also doing this on my own where publishing houses have dozens of specific professionals to refine an author’s writing and story to the final product on the book shelf. It's impossible to compare. Just know that I am continuing to make the work better everyday and that’s all I can promise you.
Basically, I’ll say this last thing…
I wrote a book and decided to go with indie to at least get it out to some people that might enjoy it. I honestly didn’t know what to expect and the adventure has actually exceeded my wildest expectations. I took a book that wouldn’t have otherwise been published and now it’s all over the world. The fact that I actually have fans is still tripping me out. To think that I’ve actually brightened people’s days with a book that I wrote is just…unreal. And I’m absolutely still learning how to do it and how to deal with it. And most importantly, I’d like to continue the adventure.

Windswept is coming
Long time no blogging, guys. Apparently it’s been almost a month since I’ve made an appearance on the web. But I’m back! And I’m coming with some important news.
So most of you guys remember this post talking about what’s coming out after Grounded. As most of you know, my life has changed dramatically the last few months and with it, all of my post Grounded book plans have changed too. For one, I honestly don’t have the time to devote to TGM. It’s a new novel, a massively complex plotline, and I can’t skimp on anything with that book.
Time is the biggest issue with me now after all. So that being said, I’m going to come out with Airborne Saga #3 next. I want to get the book out at least a year after the last one in the series and I need to start on it now when working at a slower pace. It’s also easier and quicker to write than TGM because the world is already built and the characters developed.
So that brings us to Airborne book three. I’ve been plotting everything over the weekend. Also once I have the book fully plotted, I’ll know for sure how many books will be in the Saga. Because it’s still tentative, I refuse to announce it. (Trust me, if I mention anything, it’ll be all over the web in a day). So in the mean time, I’ll give some of the details that I do know are 99.9% accurate.
Airborne Book Number Three shall now be named “Windswept”.
Its general release date is 2012.
It will also be receiving a tab in the coming week with the general summary.
And don’t quote me on this, but it will likely be the last book in the Saga.
So I’m not sure if this is all good or bad news yet, but you’ll be the first up to date.
Before I zip back to catching up on my ridiculous to-do list, I want to thank you guys for welcoming Grounded so warmly. It’s outselling Airborne every week and scoring better review-wise too. We’ll have to top that in Windswept.
Peace and harpies,
Constance

Happy Release Day!
Grounded is officially on the e-book market. The paperback is available through CreateSpace (An Amazon Company) and is slowly trickling onto the official Amazon homepage.
Like always, you can see the links to these on my homepage under the book’s tab here:
Link
Along with the details and first chapter.
The pricing for those who haven’t checked is 2.99 e-book, 9.99 paperback but the paperback is only available through CreateSpace and Amazon.
So if you’re getting those pangs of harpie withdrawal, definitely pick up a copy of Grounded and rejoin the adventure.

Grounded ARC giveaway
So you guys may have noticed me sneak it onto my home blog but there is officially an ARC giveaway for Grounded!
2 books are up for grabs and you can enter either at dark-horse-books.blogspot.com or constancesharper.blogspot.com.
There will eventually be a giveaway on Goodreads (I’m giving my blog followers a head start) but statistically your best chances to win will be on dark-horse/my blog.
In other news, the special edition paperback of Airborne is up now. It’s the same as the third (one or two typo/formatting errors cleaned up) but it also has the first chapter of Grounded in the back.
Check it out and enter to win!

What's next for me bookwise
Okay in case you guys didn’t see it, the Grounded reveal is now up. You can find out more about the cover/first chapter/awesome people that made it possible here:
Link
In other cool news, my part in Grounded is officially DONE. Well, 99.9% done. I’ve finished editing the story line, cutting, cropping, and rewriting scenes....now I just sent it off to the proof readers. I’m going to send it to a ton more proof readers this time to get a dead clean version.
Otherwise, I have a few announcements to make. You guys may see a few interviews with me on the web (usually found in the HIGHLIGHTS box on my home blog) that continue to ask one steady question.
What’s next for me?
Well I can’t say Grounded anymore. And I’m not even going to say Airborne Saga book three. I’ll explain this here and now because I couldn’t quite ramble at the interviews.
First up, I’m not hating on The Airborne Saga by not writing the next book immediately in sequence. I’m trying to let the ideas bake for awhile. Mostly because I was posed with a common but significant question: How many books?
Obviously there has to be a third. But will there be a fourth? A fifth? Bloody open-ended phrase “Saga”. If I named it trilogy I wouldn’t be having this problem. The point is that I’m really trying to visit the story as a whole to see the logical next step. I need to know how far I’ll stretch their stories, what’s important in it, and where I really want it to end.
I want to do the Airborne Saga justice and not just write whatever pops into my head unless it is good.
So the best way to view a story as a whole is to get away for a couple of months--which is exactly what I plan to do. Just before you send the hate mail, remember that I still plan book three to be released in 2012 so don’t freak out too much!
Now the new projects:
First up I’d like to mention a project called T.G.M.. This project is the one that I’ve been most excited about EVER. Reasons for that are personal but I do intend this to be my best work. Because of that, it’s also my hardest work. I really have to pound out the outline because I’m dealing with a large world plotline.
So for those who don’t care about the details, I’ll basically say it’s about witches, black magic, and scandal. It’s got a bit of romantic love interest, the intense danger, and the deep rooted/awesome themes. It’s like Doctor Who meets Insidious meets TV teen drama and is somehow YA fiction. This is also the first story I’m doing in first-person.
I’ve started on TGM, scrapped it, started again, stared at blank paper, and used up half of my dry erase board rewriting the plot line. I think I’ve got a good place to work with it now.
Next, if you’ve read the interviews, you’ll also see that I’m planning to write a book with the proceeds going to charity. Which charity? I’m thinking either an anti-human trafficking organization or the ASPCA. Both are good organizations but I’m still debating on which. I may just have to write another book to get them all.
This project’s name is Girl Eternal and it will not be part of a series. Just one book but the ideas are original and the plotline will be very smooth. I actually have a cover for Girl Eternal but I’ve been advised not to release it or a book synopsis until it’s getting close to being published. I know it’s better butttt I’m really excited about it. Hey, it may just help me write the book faster.
So yes, you’ll be seeing either TGM or Girl Eternal hitting the shelves next from me. Then Airborne Saga Book Three. And we’ll go from there.
Hope this left you with more answers than questions but if you want to know more, stay tuned.

I'm relevant enough to have a twitter now...so beware
Hi guys,
It’s not quite cover reveal time yet but I do have some important things to add. Apparently I’ve become relevant. Okay I know that sounds strange, but my name seems to be popping up everywhere on the web so I’d like to make some things clear.
The only places you will find me are the following:
My home blog (constancesharper.blogspot.com)
Dark-Horse-Indie (Dark-horse-books.blogspot.com)
Goodreads (http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/...)
And Twitter (@CSibline)
The only places you should see my books for sale/sample download are the following:
Amazon
Barnes and Noble
CreateSpace
Constancesharper.blogspot.com
There may be resellers on these sites but you will not find a legitimate sample download if not on these sites. I know everyone is internet savvy now a days but I will warn you guys to beware of false sellers ESPECIALLY if they offer a signed copy. I have sent out a few signed copies but more likely than not, you’ll be getting a fake.
If you’d like your copy signed or personalized, just contact me via email. I’d be honored to do it and you’ll know it’s absolutely legitimate.
Of course, you’ll see a few interviews of me and those you can typically find in the Highlights box. Now come follow me at twitter!

This isn’t the book release date, just the sneak peek. The release date for Grounded is still roughly August 2011 and likely will be August 30th 2011. I’m working as much as I can, even took vacation time from my day job, but I can't rush it too much. I’d rather do it right than quickly. Hope the sneak peek will help tide you over until then.
