What's next for me bookwise
Okay in case you guys didn’t see it, the Grounded reveal is now up. You can find out more about the cover/first chapter/awesome people that made it possible here:

In other cool news, my part in Grounded is officially DONE. Well, 99.9% done. I’ve finished editing the story line, cutting, cropping, and rewriting scenes....now I just sent it off to the proof readers. I’m going to send it to a ton more proof readers this time to get a dead clean version.
Otherwise, I have a few announcements to make. You guys may see a few interviews with me on the web (usually found in the HIGHLIGHTS box on my home blog) that continue to ask one steady question.
What’s next for me?
Well I can’t say Grounded anymore. And I’m not even going to say Airborne Saga book three. I’ll explain this here and now because I couldn’t quite ramble at the interviews.
First up, I’m not hating on The Airborne Saga by not writing the next book immediately in sequence. I’m trying to let the ideas bake for awhile. Mostly because I was posed with a common but significant question: How many books?
Obviously there has to be a third. But will there be a fourth? A fifth? Bloody open-ended phrase “Saga”. If I named it trilogy I wouldn’t be having this problem. The point is that I’m really trying to visit the story as a whole to see the logical next step. I need to know how far I’ll stretch their stories, what’s important in it, and where I really want it to end.
I want to do the Airborne Saga justice and not just write whatever pops into my head unless it is good.
So the best way to view a story as a whole is to get away for a couple of months--which is exactly what I plan to do. Just before you send the hate mail, remember that I still plan book three to be released in 2012 so don’t freak out too much!
Now the new projects:
First up I’d like to mention a project called T.G.M.. This project is the one that I’ve been most excited about EVER. Reasons for that are personal but I do intend this to be my best work. Because of that, it’s also my hardest work. I really have to pound out the outline because I’m dealing with a large world plotline.
So for those who don’t care about the details, I’ll basically say it’s about witches, black magic, and scandal. It’s got a bit of romantic love interest, the intense danger, and the deep rooted/awesome themes. It’s like Doctor Who meets Insidious meets TV teen drama and is somehow YA fiction. This is also the first story I’m doing in first-person.
I’ve started on TGM, scrapped it, started again, stared at blank paper, and used up half of my dry erase board rewriting the plot line. I think I’ve got a good place to work with it now.
Next, if you’ve read the interviews, you’ll also see that I’m planning to write a book with the proceeds going to charity. Which charity? I’m thinking either an anti-human trafficking organization or the ASPCA. Both are good organizations but I’m still debating on which. I may just have to write another book to get them all.
This project’s name is Girl Eternal and it will not be part of a series. Just one book but the ideas are original and the plotline will be very smooth. I actually have a cover for Girl Eternal but I’ve been advised not to release it or a book synopsis until it’s getting close to being published. I know it’s better butttt I’m really excited about it. Hey, it may just help me write the book faster.
So yes, you’ll be seeing either TGM or Girl Eternal hitting the shelves next from me. Then Airborne Saga Book Three. And we’ll go from there.
Hope this left you with more answers than questions but if you want to know more, stay tuned.
