The Bacchanalia...
Went to my tenth " Taste Of Sonoma" yesterday. Moving slowly today.
The event was held at a beautiful Healdsburg Ranch which was purchased by the actor Fred MacMurray in 1941. Fred raised his family in this bucolic valley.
There were tents organized by the major Sonoma County wine making appellations, representing the Russian River, Alexander Vally, Dry Creek, and Sonoma Valley regions.
Unimaginable amounts of wine, too numerous to list:
The wines were paired with food from dozens of local restaurants. Like delicious roasted corn chowder...
Paella!
Smoked pork with habanero corn relish...
Spicy shrimp ceviche...
Hey! It's hard to take pictures with your phone in one hand and a wine glass in the other :P
There were mini fish tacos, ribs, caviar (the cheap kind, LOL) and lots of amazing porky apps.
Gorgeous mushrooms in puff pastry :
Us ladies grabbed a lot of swag and had a blast :)
And we got droned!!!
There was ALSO lots of local beer on tap and delicious artisanal liquors...
Did I mention desserts? I tried raspberry gelato, strawberry miso ice cream, butterscotch & chocolate pudding & these beautiful macarons:
Needless to say, it was an over-the-top gorgefest, as evinced by this drunken selfie:
But never fear! We took a cab there and back, returning home to continue the bacchanal in our backyard. Until next year...

Time Flies
Where did all the time go?
I moved my youngest daughter into her dorm room yesterday, where she will join her twin sisters for their senior year at Berkeley.
Empty nest syndrome, here I come.

Seattle
Took a long overdue trip up to Seattle last week...
First we scarfed down some Dick's burgers.
Settled into our Airbnb house - It was a quaint old craftsman in the Queen Anne district. Chock full of antiques and very funky.
Had to check in on Pike Place Market, the waterfront & Seattle center...
Got my fortune from Cap'n Archie at the legendary Archie McPhees.
Waited in line at Paseo for the some of the best Sandwiches in Seattle. Cuban roast pork:
Dim sum in the International District:
There be dragons!
My three beauties and the skyline:
Visited the 16 ft. bronze statue of Vlad in Fremont. The blood on his hands was a nice touch :)
The steampunkian Gasworks Park:
And a mermaid at the waterfront. Always a good sign.
Back home on the turboprop. Goodbye Seattle!
