And that’s why I need your help!

Personal requests from card-carrying library patrons have an impact on library purchases.

If your library uses OverDrive for patrons to borrow digital books, it’s easy to recommend a book for purchase.

Step 1

Alexandre Dubois made a practice of avoiding people.

Especially tourists.

Especially women tourists.

Nosy, irritating, stubborn women tourists.

Tourists who parked themselves on the step outside his door at all hours of the day.

All right, he was a bona fide recluse who avoided everyone. He couldn’t remember the last time he’d stepped outside his upstairs apartment. Maybe seven… eight years ago?

The fact that she’d parked herself there was an irritant. A missin...

Jack.

She hadn’t heard he was back from his tour overseas. He was clean cut, his Marine-short hair making the line of his jaw stand out. His shoulders were broad beneath a navy T-shirt, his slim hips encased in brown cargo shorts.

His eyes were hidden by reflective sunglasses. He was not smiling.

Her stomach did a funny little flip. What had it been… fiv...

She couldn’t stop shaking.

Jean clicked to end the call. The way her hands trembled, it took two tries. She’d just finished letting her sister—and boss—know she wouldn’t be on time for her shift.

She hadn’t burst into tears, which was one positive.

But it was close as she squinted against the bright summer morning sun and looked again at the mangled mess that used to be her car. The Prius hybrid sedan had been perfect for toting a baby around. Now it was crumpl...

Bonus scene from HOW TO LOSE A GUY IN 10 DATES – by Lacy Williams

Copyright © 2017 Lacy Williams

With a sigh, Wes Scheffield signed off from the online dating website and closed his laptop on the coffeeshop table.

Six months ago, his brother had fallen in love with Angela. Even though Drew hadn’t been the one on the dating site, Wes figured if someone like Angela was using them, he could find a match for himself.

So far, three weeks of effort were a bust. Every profile he read had at least one red flag. The two girls he’d dared to message had been clingy f...
