Blackberry Mint Lemon Switchel
I just learned about switchels from a new book I’ve been reading, Wild Drinks and Cocktails. It charts the history of the drink from the Caribbean to New England. A switchel always has vinegar in it and originally had molasses and ginger too.
<!--Yesterday I was visiting Lee Newlin from Peaceful River Farm and what did she serve me? Homemade lemon mint swichel, of course! I was there to talk about our upcoming cooking class on the farm that happens June 25 10 am - 1 pm. (There's still room and if you're in the area you can register on...<!--Yesterday I was visiting Lee Newlin from

Nancie McDermott’s Strawberry Shrub
It’s finally strawberry season and I have a recipe that you can use fresh strawberries if you’re in my part of the world or frozen ones if yours aren’t quite ready yet.
A shrub is an old-fashioned way of preserving fruit flavors and is an amazing mocktail or cocktail. You heat apple cider vinegar and then infuse the strawberries in it for 1 to 2 days. Then you strain the liquid into a saucepan and heat with your sweetener. Nancy calls for sugar, but you could use the sweetener of your choice...

Blackberry Mojito Overnight Oats from OATrageous Oatmeals

These Blackberry Mojito Oats are more than just your basic overnight oats recipe and is my favorite warm weather oatmeal. I like to makes overnight oats in a jar for 3 days at a time, so I just grab from the fridge and go during the week.
Easy overnight oats are a great way to start your day. This recipe is without (vegan) yogurt, so it’s a little thinner than you may be used to. You can add more oats, less liquid, or ad in some vegan yogurt to make them thicker if you pre...

Air Fried Vegan Beignets with an Oven Option
This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Whole Earth Sweetener Co. All opinions are 100% mine.
What the heck are Beignets? Beignets are just rectangle yeast donuts that are usually drowning in powdered sugar. At Cafe du Monde in New Orleans, you’ll find them with up to an inch of powdered sugar!
In my opinion, the best way to make your own vegan powdered sugar is with Whole Earth Sweetener Baking Blend. It’s made up of just two ingredients: Raw Cane Sugar and Organic Stevia Leaf Ex...
