Cover Reveal: Siren’s Heart
Siren’s Heart:
Over two decades have passed since the Mer emerged from their exile in the undersea world of Ishaldi. People waver between fascination and distrust of this strange, sea-born species…
Gabriella Randall has found her calling in deep sea exploration. Her goal is to uncover more artifacts that support the place of her kind in human history. When the research ship she works on is hijacked, Gabriella is determined to show her captors a thing or two. A mermaid has more than a tail to twitch.
Her kidnappers are led by Dante “the Devil” DeVitas, one of the most notorious treasure hunters on the high seas. A man owing no allegiance to any, Dante’s determined to recover the gold. He’s targeted Gabriella for her unique talents in the water. The group needs the expertise of a Mer to recover a WWII relic; a Nazi ship carrying a fortune sank in the Pacific. The race to recover the lost treasure is a fierce one.
Though repelled by Dante’s icy ambition, Gabriella can’t help but be attracted to a man who goes after what he wants. However, a mermaid’s sexual needs are stronger than common sense. Even as she chafes in captivity, Gabriella finds herself drawn to Dante’s rough mouth, and rougher touch.
Their liaison is a dangerous one, but not half as deadly as other threats looming ahead…

February 2014 Update~
Dear Readers,
Just popping in to share a bit of news! I’m excited to announce that I have gotten my rights back to Flesh and the Devil. Yes, that’s right. The book readers ran away from because of the ugly cover Kensington put on it (boots and sand for vampire BDSM????) will soon be released with a smoking hot new cover and a fresh edit. I am so excited to get to re-launch this title the way it should have been done in the first place. Meanwhile, I am hard at work on Siren’s Heart, and I’ll have a cover to show off soon! I have to say, I’ve seen the early drafts, and it is going to be awesome!
If you’re not already there, join me on my author’s page on Facebook. There, I’ll be posting excerpts of the WIP’s, as well as giving away books and other goodies.
Until next time!

January 2014 Update, Part 2~
Dear Readers,
So here is the latest. As promised, I’ve been working on a new book to continue where the “Dark Tides” mermaid trilogy –Siren’s Call, Siren’s Surrender and Siren’s Desire– left off. Well, I can now announce that it is official. Contracts have been signed and covert art has begun. Siren’s Heart is now in the works for a summer release. Tagged “Ocean Deep” this series is set 23 years into the future and will tell the stories of Tessa, Gwen and Addison’s daughters, as the Mer attempt to integrate themselves into the human world now that they have been rediscovered.
Needless to say, I am excited to launch a new chapter in my Mer world, and I am hoping readers will come along for the new adventures!
I know you guys are anxious to meet the new generation, so here is a peek at the first book, Siren’s Heart:
Over two decades have passed since the Mer have emerged from their exile in the undersea world of Ishaldi. Relations between human and mermaids are uneasy as Mer females have attempted to integrate themselves into human society and find mates. People waver between fascination and distrust of this strange, sea-born species, and their assimilation hasn’t been entirely successful.
Twins Isabella and Gabriella were lucky enough to be “land born”, the product of loving parents Tessa and Kenneth Randall. With a Mer mom and a human dad, the girls have experienced the best of both worlds, and were raised to embrace their unique heritage as shifters. Now out of college, the twins are anxious to continue living and working in the oceans they love. Their lives on the island resort of Little Mer has been idyllic, but it’s time for the girls to move beyond the scenic coast of Maine…
Reckless and daring, Gabriella has found her calling in deep sea exploration. A budding archaeologist, her goal is to bring up more artifacts from the ocean’s bottom that support the place of her kind in human history. When the research ship she works on is hijacked by pirates, Gabriella has to make a choice–escape to the safety of the water and save herself–or stay with her crew and suffer what will probably be a swift execution.
Reluctant to leave her shipmates, Gabriella allows herself to be captured. A mermaid has more than a tail to twitch, and Gabby is determined to show her captors a thing or two about messing with her kind.
Turns out, the pirates know exactly what they’ve got on their hands. They’ve specifically targeted Gabriella Randall for her unique talents in the water. The group needs the expertise of a Mer to recover a WWII relic. And not just any old sunken ship. Their target is massive: A Nazi ship carrying a fortune in precious metals sank in the Pacific in 1941–and the race to recover the lost fortune is a fierce one.
Her kidnappers are led by Dante “the Devil” DeVitas, one of the most notorious treasure hunters on the high seas. A man with no country and owing no allegiance to any, Dante’s determined to recover the gold before its location is discovered by others. He’ll do whatever it takes to lay his hands on the treasure.
Even as she’s repelled by Dante’s icy ambition, Gabriella can’t help but be attracted to a man who goes after what he wants, no matter the cost. Cocky and self-assured, Dante’s everything a woman doesn’t want. However, a mermaid’s sexual needs are stronger than common sense. And when Gabriella’s fierce cycle kicks into gear, there’s no way she can resist the siren’s call to mate. Even as she chafes in captivity, Gabriella finds herself drawn to Dante’s rough mouth, and rougher touch. Dante DeVitas isn’t a gentleman. And now that he’s got the lovely young Mer in his grasp, he finds himself strangely reluctant to let her go.
Their liaison is a dangerous one, but not half as deadly as other threats looming ahead.
Dante isn’t the only one searching for the wreck. An underground group of Nazi SS officers driven by their own murderous agenda also seek the lost ship. However the object they want could be far more dangerous than anyone could ever imagine. Legend says the vessel also carried an ancient relic wielding vast power. Known as the Talon of Atargatis, the object is reputed to be a crystal with the ability to enhance mental prowess, granting its keeper the ability to control the elements. The more Gabriella learns about the object, the more she becomes convinced the Talon actually belonged to the Mer people, and was probably lost or stolen before the undersea portals of Ishaldi were sealed. Whether she likes it or not, her best chance to recover the Talon is with Dante’s help. Suddenly, their opposition turns to teamwork. Dante wants the gold. Gabriella wants the pilfered artifact. Together, they’ll take the risk to recover both.
However playing with fire can also burn, and Gabriella is about to discover the high seas offer more than forbidden passion. Her determination to prove the origins of the mystical weapon could end up costing her the one thing a mermaid can’t afford to sacrifice: Her heart.

Dear Readers,
Just popping in for a moment to announce that a new Mer series is in the works! That’s right. Readers have written asking for more books, and I’ve been listening. I’m talking to my editor at MojoCastle about picking up where the “Dark Tides” series left off, and working on the ”Ocean Deep” saga–which will feature the offspring of my three Mer sisters: Tessa, Gwen and Addison. I’m excited about the plots that are brewing in my mind, and I’ll be sharing more details soon!
Until then, keep on reading and sending me those emails!
Cheers,

Dear Readers,
Just a quick note to drop in and wish everyone Happy Holidays. I know you’re all eager to find out who the Kindle Giveaway winner is, so here it is: Marie J. Harris, and her choice of person to meet living or dead was Jim Morrison, the Lizard King. With this announcement the giveaway is now closed.
As for myself, I am off for the rest of the year to enjoy some quiet time with my family, and to work on some new books. I’ll be back with the new year with some updates as to release dates and what I have in the works for readers. Yes, I have read your emails and I am in talks to bring the Kith and Kynn series back, along with the Wildcat shifter series, and a couple of others. So, I have a lot to work on in these next few weeks, and to get coordinated with my publisher.
Wishing everyone peace, joy and much success for 2014!

December 2013 Update ~ includes Kindle Giveaway!
Dear Readers,
Well, I can honestly say that 2013 wasn’t a great year. Last December started with the news that my stepfather’s cancer was terminal. The New Year began as badly as the old one ended, when the water heater went out–not once, but twice! Through the months, the family went through a long illness as my stepfather’s health began to decline. Watching someone slowly fade is stressful, and my writing went by the wayside as his end days approached. During that time, a family has a lot of paperwork to go through, which includes a lot of time, confusion and frustration as the insurance and other government agencies do not make it easy to navigate the path to finalizing a dying person’s affairs and final wishes. There is a lot of paperwork, a lot of phone calls and a lot of yelling going on.
My stepfather passed away August 17. In that time, many changes have happened, including a move to a new place, a reorganization of life as it was once known, and dealing with the stresses that come after someone passes away. I haven’t gotten much done in 2013, but I am determined to get things back on track for 2014.
But I don’t want 2013 to be an entire loss. To celebrate the holiday season, I am giving away a new Kindle eReader! What’s more, the winner will also receive all three copies of the Eternity books as their first books to read on their new toy! But that’s not on. From now through Dec 15th, I will be running flash giveaways on my Facebook page! What am I giving away. Why books, of course. Print copies of my back list will include the Dark Tides Trilogy, and many of my Kensington Aphrodisia titles.
So what are you waiting for? Come on, join the fun. Winner of the Kindle will be announced Dec 15, 2013. Prize will be shipped before Christmas. Open to all, domestic and internationally!
Merry Christmas!

Cover Reveal, pt 3~
So here we are. One week from release (it’s the 28th!!!) and here are the final covers for all three books. Yes, I know. It’s been a long haul, with many tweaks and redo’s to get the covers perfect. I can’t say enough how much I love them and how they captured the mood of the gothics.
FYI, that is the same model. And, yes, his hair gets a little grayer with every book. Morgan’s burning out, but you have to read the books to find out what’s going on, LOL.
We’re going over the final galleys now, and come next Tuesday, the books will be available!

Cover Reveal, pt 2~
Dear Readers,
Well, we’re still working on the covers. I know. It’s a week away from the release of the Eternity Trilogy, so they need to be done. Well, it turned out that the original artist hired to do the covers just couldn’t quite pull off the look the publisher and I sought, so another artist was bought in to fix a few things. Here’s what we have so far, the Echoes of Angels and Descent of Demons covers. Genesis Awry is being redone now, and I hope to show all three, with their finishing touches later this week.
Echoes of Angels (top), Descent of Demons (bottom). And, yes, that is the same cover model. He has a rather large portfolio on istock.com and will be used for all the covers. Can’t wait to see the re-do of Genesis Awry. Speaking of that book, back to galley proofing. We’re gonna have these out on the 28th. Just 8 more days!
