April 2016 Update~

Dear Readers,

Yes, it is true. I have news. Kensington Books has released the rights to Possession, The Hard Way (Men in Blue Anthology) and Soul of the Wildcat. I have made arrangements to place those books with MojoCastle Press and Beyond the Page Publishing respectively, and they will enter the que to be re-released with fresh edits and new covers. This pretty much means my association with the original publisher is at its end. It was a good run, but it’s time to look toward the future and new books.

So what about writing?

Well, I am slowly getting back into that, too. I have a stack of projects on my desk, and editors who are waiting for me to do the work. Life has been a little crazy, but things are starting to fall back into place and I can actually start to think about my writing career again.

So there you have it. I’ll be updating as new info and cover art comes in.

March 2016 Update #2~

Dear Readers,

Yes, I’ve finally had time to do a little updating of the site! It’s looked so same-same for such a long time, so I thought I would shake things up a bit and go for a different look. Hope you guys find it clean and easy to navigate.

As for writing, yes, I am trying. Running behind, but I am trying! Hopefully I’ll have some news in April.

March 2016 Update~

Dear Readers,

Due to work and other family demands, the re-release of my Kensington titles, and any new material, has been moved back to later in the year. Right now, I am busy with the demands of holding a job and helping with an elderly parent, and so I have asked my editors for an extension to work on the books. I will keep you all posted as things get moving again.

January 2016 Update~

Hi, Readers,

Sorry I am behind on updates, but a lot of things have been going on behind the scenes. Most of it has to do with work, which I am swamped with. But there is good news ahead.

First of all, I’ll begin re-releasing several of my former Kensington titles in 2016. Man After Midnight (now re-titled Flesh and the Devil 2; Hell Bound) and Personal Possessions, a demon bondage themed novella from the Dangerous Ties anthology will be coming out at the end of March, with fresh edits, additional text and new cover art. I am excited to be giving these books the treatment they did not receive through their original publisher.

But, wait, there is more! Beyond the Page will also be reissuing Before Night Falls and After the Fall (formerly Sins of the Flesh and Sins of the Night), also with new material and smoking hot covers. I have to admit I was not fond of the headless torso look so many of my titles got, so now we are making up for that with images that are a little more enticing for readers. I expect to have firm dates of release for those books soon!

Finally… Yes, I am working on Rise of the Beast (Eternity #4) and my alternate Kelby Laroux literary project, All the Small Things. So many irons in the fire, and so little time. But things are happening, and I will be revealing the new cover art as it comes, along with putting together some awesome giveaways for readers.

November 2015 Update~

Dear Readers,

Sorry this update is so late. Like the rest of you, I have been busy with work, family and getting ready for the holiday season. It’s all crazy, as usual.

So what is new? Well, as I await word from my new publisher, Beyond the Page, as to when my former Kensington titles will begin re-releasing (I am told the beginning of 2016), I have other news concerning my other publisher MojoCastle. Due to issues with getting the Eternity titles in print, I have put a temporary hiatus on further books n that series until the problems can be settled. This means Rise of the Beast will be delayed indefinitely. I am told the publisher is working on it, but I have no idea how much longer it will take.

With those projects put aside, I have decided to go ahead and concentrate on another area of interest, literary fiction. I am now writing under the name of Kelby LaRoux (www.kelbylaroux.com).  I am going to be honest and say it is because I want to distance myself from the adult erotic fiction I wrote for Kensington’s Aphrodisia imprint. Yes, I have won awards and gotten fair reviews, but the dive into a different type of fiction means a different type of audience. The best example I can give is JK Rowling who made the switch to a man’s name when she began writing mystery suspense. Her Harry Potter novels were aimed for the YA market, her Robert Galbraith novels at a more adult one. It doesn’t mean I am leaving genre fiction behind forever. It just means that Devyn Quinn is on a temporary hiatus while I concentrate on other projects. Once we settle the print issue with the Eternity books, I will be back on Rise of the Beast.

So there is the latest.

October 2015 Update ~ Halloween Giveaway

September 2015 Update~

Dear Readers,

Sorry it has been so long between updates. Life has been busy, and I am doing my best to catch up. So here is the latest:

Super office is done! Now that the RV renovations are coming to a close, I have a place outside the house to work, where I can have total concentration. Yep, that means more time to sit in front of the computer and write.  So, I am hoping to get back to the books and my editor at MojoCastle is expecting a finished manuscript for Rise of the Beast in Dec 2015. She is planning a late January 2016 release. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that everything stays on schedule.

In other news, I have also signed some of my Kensington backlist to Beyond the Page Publishing. These will begin releasing next year, with fresh edits and updated text. I am excited to be joining the BTP team and look forward to releasing new material, too. So, with luck readers will be seeing the first book in the new Sirens series sometime in later 2016, along with other projects I am developing.

So, yes, lots is happening. It has just taken time to pull things back together and readjust to a sudden and harsh life change.

Wishing you all a happy Fall. Halloween is coming and I will have some prezzies to giveaway for the spooky season (and you know it will be awesome!)

July 2015 Update~

Quick pop in post!

It is official! Renovations on my office will start next week. I’ll finally have a huge space outside the house and not in a bedroom, where I can, hopefully, get back to writing and releasing new books. I’ve been working on Rise of the Beast and I have pumped it up past 100 pages. With luck, the holidays will see it finished.
