So, when's the next one coming out?

The problem with taking over two years to write a novella is that I have no idea how to respond to that question.

Certainly, it is a nice problem to have.

(So far, a disturbingly high percentage of readers finish the book in a day.)

Pimping for a friend.

But first, the next batch of books should be finished this weekend. Sorry for the delay.

At any rate, a friend of mine has started a youtube series called Ask a Mortician. The very first question is one of mine.

Check it out, and have all your (death-related) questions answered.

Party Accomplished

Thanks to all who showed up tonight at the Med. We sold a few books, handed out a bunch of cookies and might have some pictures in the Hyde Park Herald.

Special thanks go to the Medici for generously hosting the event, Kevin Sellers for sponsoring the booze, and Rocky H for making mini-pies.

Buy His Book!

My friend Connor, of Hungry Rats, is trying out a serialized format for his next book. The project is called How to Survive Your First Year of College: Shattering Glass.

His stuff is always interesting, and his is a unique voice worth listening to.

Check it out.

(Oh also, my book comes out tomorrow. Buy it on Kindle, while it is still cheap. Come to the party at the Med on Tuesday.)

Good news everybody. . .

So I got my computer back last night from it's month long sabbatical to the land of no video.

We are, as the fella says, reunited and it feels quite good.

Sadly, this diminishes my excuses for not writing. A good thing by three more grams than a bad.

I have the basic themes and characters figured out for TFW, and need to set aside some typing hours for that thing…

BUT…

It is becoming abundantly clear that people who read the Mosquito Song want more of it.

The last three reviews I've read have ...

Good Morning

Well, we managed to crack the top 40,000 in kindle sales today.

Author Central sales stats, you will be the death of me.

Also, Herocious has finished up the batch of books for the release party, and is working on the next however many copies.

If you have ordered in the past week, there may be a delay in getting your copy. This is the downside of handpressed books.

Only six days until the official release of The Mosquito Song, and only one week till the release party!

Once again, the release party will be at the Medici, on the mezzanine level. The Med is located at 1327 e. 57th street in Chicago. The party is on Tuesday November 1st, from 7 o' clock in the evening till 9.

We'll have some snacks, a few drinks, a short reading, and we will be selling some copies.

People have been asking, and yes you can bring wine. And no, I do not drink (dramatic pause...
